Ace provided rates over the phone, set up an appointment and just came and got the GFI installed. I lost power during hurricane Milton due to my powerlines from my house being compromised during the storm. I had to wait for Florida Power for a while to come and disconnect the lines and the next morning after the lines were disconnected. I got up and started looking for the electrician and I called Ace Electric and boy am I glad I did. ace. was a sub contractor in a remodel project of our condo, these guys are the worst ! the missed a bunch of things in the pre drywall stage - no big deal the just cut big holes in all the new freshly painted and finished drywall . they were hired hourly by our contractor - they are the slowest or most inexperienced , took them twice as long as it should have and it was wrong. almost half of the job had to be corrected or installed after the drywall was up. our contractor had to have the drywall and painting contractors come back a couple times to fix what they did wrong from the start . all they are good at is fluffing the over charged invoices. they alway bill for a 2 man crew 1 is suppose to be a master electrician ( billed at 150 hour. paid $30 an hour ). helper billed at 100 hour paid 18-22 hour then they charge 80 trip fee. and charge for gloves and shoe covers which they never had . most unprofessional of all the trades in our project. would never use them again. or even use our GC if they were involved in the project. read more

Moved to Sarasota from Massachusetts and needed an electrical contractor for a number of wiring issues in our new home. We had 5 local electricians come by to give us quotes, as well as give us ideas on how to conceal a lot of tv wires in a tricky spot in the family room. Bob by far, was the most experienced and resourceful in coming up with the best solutions for our home. He was candid and let us know we actually didn't need a new panel like another electric company tried to upgrade us to. His quote and pricing was the best in the Sarasota area which was great based on how experienced he is. All the work took a 4 hour window and Terry and Jessie were incredibly competent and saved us additional money, finding ways to take care of things we needed the easy way based on the great knowledge they have. Ace Electric was contracted to connect 2 interior (closed Lanai) GFIC outlets to outdoor sites. The initial installation failed and ACE promptly sent a troubleshooting team to resolve the problem. They were professional and methodically determined what the problem was and corrected it. I questioned some of the details in the initial invoice and Ace Electric listened and agreed to make a satisfactory adjustment. That alone would have me give them repeat business. On a practical basis, few contracting jobs run 100% smoothly and the worth of the contractor has to be based on how he (they) handle and resolve those issues. Ace gets 5 stars on that. We were directed to use Ace Electric by Light Up Your LIfe where we bought out new fixture. The installers Jared and Edward did an excellent job installing the fixture. My husband was not happy with the height and then Eric and Jake came out and did an outstanding job also, correcting the height.
