My husband and I were putting up a fence in our backyard and adding some extenders to our sprinklers. We stopped by the Ace Hardware to grab a few supplies. I'm not sure how new this store is (I don't go to Kaysville often), but they had complimentary popcorn at the front for the customers. We were looking for a particular piece for our sprinklers and decided to make do with what we found until Jake asked if he could help us. When we told him what we were looking for, he knew exactly where it was. We were grateful for his help and became extremely impressed when we found out it was only his 5th day on the job! This is the most judgemental, disrespectful experiences I've ever had. I was in here for 2 hours and bought over $200 worth of materials, only to be tricked by employees to go to the back of the store where 2 police officers awaited me for false accusations. NOT awesome customer service, most employees also don't know at all what their talking about. I would never recommend this ACE Hardware to anybody. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I shop local because of the personal care you are provided. I had a problem with a paint spill in my car. I called explained to Taylor what happened and within minutes I was back at the store watching him try to clean the spill. It didn't work so he sent me to a detailer to clean it up. It didn't end there. The detailer ripped the seat trying to clean the paint up. I informed Ace what happened and the agreed to split the difference in buying a new seat cover. They also gave me a gift card to go eat since my day was ruined. Ace Hardware in Kaysville will always get my business. Lowes or Homedepot take lessons. Thanks Ace family. Jeremy read more

I was very excited that my new home was near an Ace Hardware as I loved the one in North Ogden, Utah near my old neighborhood. Unfortunately I was treated rudely at the one in Kaysville when I asked about patio furniture. I eventually decided to order my items online through Ace Hardware and will have them delivered to a different store. Clearly I won't let this one incident keep me from patronizing all Ace Hardware stores, just this one in Kaysville. read more

I've been here several times, and every time I forget, almost as soon as I leave the store, about how much great stuff they have! This time, I came to get my propane tank refilled. And I realized that they sell paint here. They also sell Toro brand yard tools. Everyone here is a lot more friendly than the employees at the big box stores. I went shopping for a leaf blower. A nice young man helped me find one. I paid $89.00 plus tax. Got home to find he sold me a leaf blower edger combination. I went right back and asked to exchange it for a blower. I was told they do not accept returns. I got upset and told them to keep the item they sold me and left. One of the best local businesses EVER! The employees are so helpful and know exactly where everything is and what I need for my projects. They employ the best young men and women and the owners are truly some of the best people. This is a great store, and I'm glad to see them modernize with the actual detailed receipts and accepting the Ace Rewards card (not that I actually CARE for rewards cards, but least they now take it, being an Ace store and all). The prices are generally on par with like Lowes or Home Depot, but I prefer Ace's selection, ESPECIALLY for hardware (just like the name of the store says) like nuts, bolts, and everything weird and in-between. Especially since it seems to me Ace carries more Made in the U.S.A. tools and parts (which are honestly getting hard to find). The sales here are also great, and I've found to be very good deals! The employees have been there for years and are nice, fun and helpful. The most helpful of all is the owner, Mike Rouche. Mike is just a great person that I've come to know a little over the years. He has given me great advice on all sorts of projects and even helped me on a few adventures outside of his business. Negatives about the store you may ask? They close at 6pm on Saturday. If I still need something after that (baring an emergency) I've just come to accept that I'm done with the project at that point and I should enjoy the rest of my Saturday. This is less applicable during the winter, for obvious COLD/DARK reasons. read more
