We spent nearly $9,000 on a patio cover after explaining that durability was extremely important because we have large dogs. Nobody bothered to tell us the support posts were thin aluminum that dent incredibly easily. Nobody bothered to tell us the gutter opening was so small that it's nearly impossible to clean and is lined with sharp metal edges. When we first reported these issues years ago, we were essentially told, "Too bad." One owner even admitted the gutter design had been a known flaw for over 20 years. Twenty years. Yet they continue selling it without disclosing the issue to customers beforehand. Fast forward to this year. The gutter is still impossible to clean. Leaf blower? Doesn't work. Hose? Doesn't work. Pressure washer? Doesn't work. The only way to remove debris is by reaching into the tiny opening with your hands, which has resulted in my husband cutting himself multiple times on the sharp metal. Two months ago we called because the patio cover was still under warranty. We were told a work order would be submitted and someone would contact us. Nobody ever did. So today we called again. The first employee agreed that our gutter didn't sound right and told us it should have around 3 to 4 inches of clearance. He said he'd submit another work order. Less than ten minutes later, my husband got a call from management. Not to schedule the repair. Not to apologize. Not to honor the warranty. Instead, he was told they would NOT service our patio cover because I left an honest negative Google review years ago. Think about that for a second. Their response wasn't, "Let's make this right." It was, "You criticized us, so we're refusing to help you." That tells you everything you need to know about this company's integrity. They had multiple opportunities over the years to fix this issue, earn back our trust, and prove they stand behind their work. Instead, they chose pettiness over professionalism. A good company isn't defined by never making mistakes. It's defined by how it handles them. Kool Breeze has repeatedly shown that once they have your money, accountability goes out the window. Spend your money elsewhere. There are plenty of contractors who actually stand behind their work instead of punishing customers for telling the truth.

We made decision to replace both a.c. & 40-year-old furnace. The crew showed up when they said they would, led by Carson Williams. They were respectful and careful with our home. Did excellent work. They even send a "Quality Team" member out a few weeks after install to go through and inspect the entire system as a second check on the install. The thermostat they put in is first tier. They re-sized the furnace and a.c. to better fit our home. We noticed the difference immediately. The a.c. cools our home very well. First "the good"--This place has a great selection of things you won't find in a big box store…read more Folks are pretty helpful and the pricing is fairly reasonable. You'll pay a bit more than Lowes or Home Depot but for me it's worth it to get something you can't buy anywhere else. Next, "the OK"--the quality is so-so. I think some of their stuff spends a lot of time in the greenhouse. For example, their perennials are kind of leggy and their roses had "bloomed out" in early May--much earlier than they should. Shrubs and trees were better. Last, the "not-so-good"- Their return policy is pretty strict. They give you a pamphlet that shows you how to plant stuff and also has an entire page with their guarantee policy. Read the guarantee policy. There are all sorts of exclusions to their plant guarantee and you need to save the dead plant, tags and receipt. In addition, I purchased more plants than I needed (just in case) and luckily made it back within 48 hours (Apparently, you have 48 hours to return anything--even if it is still in the pot). Otherwise I would have been out of luck and even then, I didn't get a refund but store credit. Bottom line--this is a good place to purchase plants you can't get anywhere else but I'd go to the big box stores for the basics.

I contacted another local Toro service center, Honest Engines, and they told me that the cost to rebuild the engine would be about the same as replacing it, $2500. They said they do not do rebuilds any more. I called BC Small Engine and he told me it might be something like a head gasket, but bring it down to examine. I took it and they had it repaired in about 4 days. It turned out to be a stuck valve. They repaired it, did a full service and tune up for about $250. While I was there, they also serviced and repaired a snow blower for me that had a broke gear handle. I am glad to find a place that it willing to open up the engine and find out if it is a simple repair or needs a full blown rebuild/replacement. This is now my place to go and I would highly recommend it to others.

It was vacant, and it was time to install carpet. Problem is, I live in Colorado and didn't have all the measurements, and would only be able to be in Kaysville for about 5 days. I called Johnson's on Friday, 10 June, and told them I would be in town 16-19 June. I let them know I had a video walkthrough of the house that might be able to give them a rough idea of the layout. I sent it to them. On Friday, and then again on Monday, they confirmed that they would absolutely be able to do this for me (I was more than a little worried only because another company had been saying for weeks they would be able to do it, and then on the 10th said they couldn't). On Tuesday I called to let them know I would actually be in town Wednesday the 15th, and they said I could come in and we could get started. Wednesday morning I went into the store for the first time, and the crew came out to measure. Long story short, by Wednesday night I had brand new, beautiful, professionally installed carpet throughout my entire house at a very, very reasonable price. The work crew was flexible and determined to get everything done that day and the office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and flexible to find a carpet that would work and get it all completely resolved in a day. To review the timeline: Friday afternoon - first contact with Johnson via phone with huge request. Wednesday morning - first visit to office and initial house measurement. This damage has caused electrical issues in my vehicle, as water is now leaking onto the passenger side floor. As a result, my electronics shut off randomly while driving. When we took the car back to the shop, the representative we spoke with denied any responsibility. They even claimed it was either my fault or caused by a previous windshield replacement. However, we haven't replaced the windshield in at least three years. Not to mention, since when does the average person--like myself--remove all the trim around the windshield and start tampering with things? Short answer: I don't. They did something to redirect the water from leaking into my car, when we took it back in, but it didn't work. Now my car is completely ruined. They don't stand by their work, and I'm left needing to buy a new vehicle. They don't care! Do not go here unless you want them to damage your car to the point where water seeps into the electronics and ruins everything.
