Drive a little further and go somewhere else, very rude and unhelpful. Couldn't seem to care less about my issue.

Harbor freight is a great choice for budget tools. I've never had a tool fail on me yet, and I've…read moregotten many items from them and will continue to do so. My reasoning for this low rating is the consistency in which the items I have purchased have had missing or broken parts. I assume if the employees at specifically the riverdale location actually looked over returned items to make sure everything was complete and operated properly, I would never have this issue. However, I have had to return after every purchase so far in order to replace the item or get the missing part. I hope this trend stops as I do enjoy the products, and would recommend the store itself, just check your product in the car before you leave I guess.

Harbor Freight serves a purpose for me. Tools that I use every day? No. Tools that I rarely use…read moreor know will wear out quickly (think grinders)? Yes. They are also good for things like tarps, storage containers, and other ancillary items where you don't necessarily need "top shelf" quality. This store is fairly new and is in a convenient location on Riverdale Road. I have been in there several times looking for specific items and it seems they are always out of stock. While I am sure that the supply chain issues that all companies are experiencing lend a huge role in this, it seems it has always been an issue with Harbor Freight stores. If they have it, you're going to like the price. Coupon shopping used to be great at Harbor Freight as well. Youl could find "25% off" coupons randomly which gave you great deals on an item when you needed it. They also ran some good sales in their flyers. Something in their ad structure has changed and they no longer seem to offer the deep discounts that they used to. Not a deal breaker as their prices are still decent, but that definitely got me in the door more often. Hopefully the in stock position of this store will improve with time and make it a more reliable "one stop" for tools.

IF I COULD DO ZERO OR LESS STARS I WOULD!!! PSA:…read more On 11/11/25 My mom and I went in to purchase a refrigerator because hers died, we picked out, purchased, set up delivery for next day, next day she gets a call the fridge was damaged and to come back in and pick out another one( 2nd trip there) got there apparently it wasn't damaged they sold it to someone else, now day 2 no fridge, set up delivery for next day, got to house was too big , delivery men took hinges off door, figured out they couldn't get it in house ,loaded truck and left with hinges and door off , thankfully I knew how to put it back on for her, as she is widowed, elderly, has a broken foot, and is on oxygen. 3rd trip picked out new fridge was told 2 days before they could deliver putting her 4 days now with out fridge, she waited 2 days, they said her Bosch fridge was in stock at their store, and we paid for it, also at the time finding out they charged her 3x for 50 delivery, 39 for removal, 17 for ice maker hook up, and never refunded her charges , Saturday 11/15 delivery comes it's a white freezer, not the Bosch fridge she picked out, immediately called to explain and get what she ordered and was told it was out of their hands, and that they couldn't do anything til Monday , go in to help her get things figured out , and was told I had to go to layton to get refund, because it came from them ( not my problem we paid Clinton store ) called Layton and they said they couldn't do anything until the 3rd party delivery drivers ( who spoke zero to little english) and who also didn't understand what they were trying to figure out. Called layton store again and spoke with Tyler or Tyson Byrd, he was zero help said Monday is soonest they could get her a new one. Mind you now she has over 7k on her card because returns take time to go through, I asked why if it was their screw up why they werent fixing it, he wouldn't do anything and was put on hold( ignore) and eventually hung up on. Called a family owned business in Ogden, BOYLES and with in 2 hours she had a fridge installed ,, delivered , and working . It's now 11/16 was told to come in after 7 so item would be back at store to return, after 45 minutes of trying to return they tell me they again cant return , Layton has to, at which time I said why do we buy from them if they dont handle it out fully, they said to call and I could do return over phone due to my mom have broken foot and its not easy for her to get around . Call Layton they now cant find item and said we now have to wait till 11/17 to make sure the item is back there, and they were closing even though I had been on phone with them well before closing, I am praying they refund entire amount owed. So I never have to deal with them , and she will be buying all appliances from Boyles who care about customers, and has employees that know how to help customers . FRIENDS AND FAMILY DONT LET FRIENDS AND FAMILY BUY FROM LOWES !!!! PROTECT THE ELDERLY CUSTOMERS FROM THEIR ( LOWES ) UNPROFESSIONAL AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. And Lowes DO BETTER!!! Where do I begin??? The morning started off by having to go to Layton Lowe's to see about a missing…read moreonline order that said it was delivered that morning. It took 6 people, including a manager, to figure out that it was their own 3rd party delivery service who was to blame and that I should get what I paid for. Then we walked to the garden section where we were hunted down to give a hard sales pitch on gutter cleaning and repair. We then moved to plumbing where we inquired about their $499 water softeners. Neither of the two salespeople didn't know anything. So we asked if they had contact info for their contractors so we could estimate the installation costs. The company they gave us spent TWO HOURS testing our water using a HARD upsell from a Lowe's $499 water softener to a $5000 water softener. BTW They don't install Lowe's units! The final straw this morning was checking out with the one checker serving the entire store, Rhonda. She was elderly, sitting on a stool with a mask. She started yelling at my daughter who was placing items on the counter for her to stop because she was getting confused, despite the computer screen behind her that literally showed pictures of everything she had already rung up and the unrung items clearly separated. My daughter said, that's ok, I will push this basket over closer to you so you can take them out. Rhonda became angry and started slamming the ceramic pots into the basket and up against each other. My daughter asked her to please be careful not to break them. She slammed them harder and yelled that she was NOT breaking anything. There were multiple bags of fertilizer under the cart. Rhonda huffed and puffed angrily saying she couldn't breath as she tried to reach down to scan each bag. I've never seen anyone with such poor customer service skills in a customer service position.

Oh boy, I have been very excitedly looking forward to writing this review…read more I've known what I've been wanting to do, and it's obvious that Murphy is one of the most well-known brands in this space. I first tried to reach out to a customer using the Murphy scheduling portal. My appointment was confirmed, but no one was actually there - twice. Honestly, sounded like an awesome thought, but how many people would be available for free or have the product that I was looking for? I still had questions, so I emailed. They respond - fast, and they're friendly, and helpful, and all of the good attributes. I ended up getting a free book lock (c'mon, this is why we have hidden doors, right?) which I wanted to buy anyway, so worth it. Also was a little bothered by the price tag, and after talking, it was decided that the unfinished door was the way to go - for lots of reasons (ease of shipping, ease of staining, etc). I almost immediately got a call from my Concierge - which was a nice touch. I figured that the exorbitant price tag may be worth it for this type of service. She confirmed everything, made sure I had her contact info, and then before I knew it, the parts arrived - literally within ~2 weeks. It still took me another 10ish days to stain the pieces before assembly - and then still another 2 weeks to start installing in the opening. And that's when things started to go downhill. The gap between the top of the jamb top and wall opening is off by 3". I measure my jamb, it's 79" - mind you, this is for an 82" RO. No problem, right? I'll just call my concierge - oh wait, she doesn't answer. I'll text, she responded like that last time, right? NO, STILL NO ANSWER. Ok, so I'll call customer service - no problem, get a response, they tell me what's up, we're good. Next problem, the instructions DO NOT MATCH the pre-drilled holes for the hinges, nor do the instructions show which hinge is correct. The instructions say to put the silver hinge on the bottom, which is the smaller one. Ok, so I'll try my concierge again. Guess what? NO ANSWER. Great, do some online research. Found some random homemade video online and it directly contradicted the official instructions. Then found some MurphyDoor videos online that confirmed this random video was correct. Turns out, it was the correct move. Oh and a funny tidbit - the instructions...they were 3d rendered. How do I know? Things are oddly placed - if the lines were present, it would be logical, but they're just floating there, appears that they're mounted ...off. They're not. Next problem, some parts, like the Narrow Friction Door Catch, were different. Did the instructions indicate anything? NOPE! Got creative and things worked out. Now it's time for the book latch. It's super cheap pressed wood that doesn't stand firmly, nor does it have the designs that the instructions adamantly state are on the book. Instead, it's just a solid blue box with some painted "pages." The book doesn't open like the instructions state, it's just a box. Additionally, it would have been nice to not install the standard friction door catch stopper on the threshold. The book latch stopper (per the instructions) was supposed to line up exactly with the holes I drilled. Of course they didn't, I mean, right? More new holes! Fortunately, the fresh, now unused ones, were covered. Many of the holes weren't routed/drilled out completely, so I had to spend some extra time cleaning them up. I didn't have a huge issue with this; it was moderately cathartic with the other issues I experienced. The front casing was an easy installation, but nothing in the instructions or any videos online, or really anywhere talked about the back casing. I did some thorough testing for gap checking and had to neatly cut the corner of the bottom of the vertical casing to get it to fit over the threshold. Hope this was the right thing to do, no idea! I reached out on Murphy Door's Subreddit to complain (I thought into the abyss), but Murphy actually responded. Apologized for the issues, admitted to having an updated process, but not updating the instructions, apologized for the concierge, etc. Said it'll be fixed in the future. What good does that do me though? My door is installed - I have already paid full price. None of this is good for me. Now, I know this sounds like a super negative review, and the reason it's not 5 stars is because of the above, but overall, it IS a good product. The wood is solid and the hinges are mature and look like they'll hold a pretty significant amount of weight. It's very good looking and I'm VERY excited to show it off. Just make SURE to get a brad nailer. It's my first time with one, and I'm very happy with it. Totally required for the casing installation. Ultimately, if my concierge was available, This would have been a 4 or 5 star review, but flying blind at this price and the lack of QA makes this product a travesty.

It took Murphy Door 2 weeks to respond to my request to replace the broken door. After 2 weeks there decision was "sorry we can't help you, but well give you 25% off a new door"... this is absolutely NOT quality customer service!! They do not care about you, they just want your money. I blew $4,200 on a useless door for my brand new custom home. I couldn't be a more surprised and disappointed. Don't be fooled by there great commercials, like I was. They do not stand by their products. You're only going to get a tail light guarantee. Buyer beware!!!
