While clearly, this is normal for owners and managers of this Ace Hardware store, they clearly have no idea of the Progressive clientele of this uptown area. I grew up hunting and fishing and so I'm no stranger to guns but have come to realize that the world would be a better place with fewer guns and ammunition. I continued to tour and continued to believe that! Jonathan was amazing. He knew exactly what I was looking for and he kept me updated. As soon as my ideal choices opened he let me know and was extremely patient as I passed things by due to travel and other personal reasons. When we pulled the trigger, he walked hand in hand with me through the process (it's been a long time since I lived in an apartment) and he made move in so easy! He was patient w me as I forgot how to do certain things or asked dumb questions because I was too busy to read all the incoming information. He made my moving day super convenient and easy. I can not say enough good things about him and hardware is lucky to have him! Hardware itself is an incredible community and the perks are lengthy. They have amazing common areas which make you feel like you are living in a mansion. The people I've met who live there have been nothing short of friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure how new this store is (I don't go to Kaysville often), but they had complimentary popcorn at the front for the customers. We were looking for a particular piece for our sprinklers and decided to make do with what we found until Jake asked if he could help us. When we told him what we were looking for, he knew exactly where it was. We were grateful for his help and became extremely impressed when we found out it was only his 5th day on the job! Before massive orange or blue hardware stores. It seems like ACE was the original friendly neighborhood hardware store. But no, this is actually a new-ish location (2017, maybe?) and I haven't really internalized its presence. But I should. You should too. In the age of the aforementioned hardware behemoths, it's actually pretty darn rad that this spot is here. It's the same owners as "The Store" which is a specialty grocer that has a very fond spot in my heart, as it was grandma's grocer of choice. It's really an eclectic spot which reminds me of those old time hardware stores that do sell hardware, but also party supplies and decor and all kinds of things that don't fit into the category of "groceries." I'm a fan. But those big stores got popular for a reason, so if you are hardcore set on just hardware and lots of varieties of it everywhere, this smaller ACE will not have the same selection. But there's something charming about not having a billion choices, and about finding what you need, directed by a friendly person who will help you find it.

I just ran over there to grab some trimmer string, for three spools it was $28 bucks and change I thought, well that must be what it's going for so I grabbed it and then I saw the mower drive wheels I needed so I grabbed those which were $28 each! I was in a hurry and paid and got to my appointment, then I thought, man, those prices seem expensive let's checkout Amazon and see what they want for those products? Instead of the trimmer line being $10 bucks each, they were $1.50 each, the drive wheels for my mower were $28 bucks for two wheels instead of $28 bucks each I grabbed my receipt and back to Lowe's I went and returned them! The checkout girl said well we have price matching. I told her if Lowe's can't give me an honest price the first time I don't want them. I've been burned too many times by these big heartless corporations that steal money from working people to make some billionaires richer!
