I have never had so many problems attempting to buy a simple interior door for my house…read more 1st problem is I never recieved a order number for the door I ordered online a few weeks ago, yet they withdrew the funds from my bank. So, I called their customer service to check the order status. 2nd problem is the cutomer service rep had such a strong accent that I could hardly understand her. 3rd problem is she said that my door was being shipped to a store an hour away in another city, and thats where I had to pick it up. I have a Lowe's about a block away. So I asked if they could ship the door to the store in my city or to my house, and she said no unless she canceled my order and reorderd it. I told her that would be ok as long as I could get the door by the "next day". 4th problem is she canceled my order and then said that I could pick up the door (next month) at the store thats an hour away. Yes, the same store where I was supposded to pick up the door the next day, before she canceled my order. I reminded her that I need the door the next day. I told her not to cancel my order then and i'll go pick it up at the store in another city. She said that she couldnt becase she already canceled my order. The 5th problem, she told me to drive to the store tomorrow thats an hour away and buy the door that she just canceled. I asked her to confirm that the door will be there and she couldn't confirm. I seriously could have got more help calling McDonald's to help get my door. I spend about 100k a year at Home Depot, and thats where I will continue to buy after the nonsense Lowe's just put me through. Lowe]s should be ashamed about their professionalism.

Two items were substituted for specific items needed. Made a call to have those two items delivered and swapped for the incorrect ones. This was confirmed. Those items were job and time critical. After three days I call again to find out where those delinquent items are. Then they tell me instead of swapping them, I have to return the incorrect items, then pay again for the new ones, then they will order the correct items. Another lost three days. I have to drive to town to return and pay. Again, expecting two more days, after three I call again. Cant get through to the pro desk. This happens two days in a row. At some point one item shows up via UPS. The other item turns out not to have been ordered at the same time and tracking shows it now coming from NY state with an unknown shipping date. Looking at the HD website for this product it now shows delivery by a date that is 14 days away. I end up having to cancel this order and reorder it from Lowes with a three day lead time until home delivery. In summary, way too painful for a Pro order. I wont use HD again for an important project. The people I dealt with at the Ogden store were all very nice, though insensitive to the delays, but communication within HD and to this Pro customer were sorely lacking. I recommend looking at alternative lumber yards first if its an important project.
