She seemed to know everyone's name (it was early morning, and I'm guessing a lot of the normal contractor clients), and was the only person in the store helping about four people. She moved quickly, multi-tasked well, and answered questions thoroughly and happily. She was awesome. I love that Rodda paint is made in Portland, but I would come in again any day just because of her awesome service.

I don't spend a ton of $ but as a contractor, they give me some perks. I've had good luck with their products and the service. For all of this they get a 4-5 star review. However, I received a 0-1 star experience today. Let me say, if your Apple phone says 5:59, don't expect to find the door unlocked. When did this store drop from 8pm to 6pm? They clearly don't care about retail service here. I guess go to Home Depot if you want a more rounded experience. So, the clerk inside ignores me. He won't come to the door and shut out the lights long before this time. So I wait and I wait, clearly he can see me. So then I knock and wave. But, as he gets within 5 feet of the door, it's clear he won't open it. I just have a 3 minute question that will save me a big hassle tomorrow. Nope! I won't help you. Too much to do so I can go home. Clearly the customer is not a priority in his mind. I guess we will have a nice conversation when I go back in there about customer service and how the customers needs comes first, even if it is 6:03 by now. I bought a quart and went home and started painting. I painted one step (used very little) and noticed that the color was not right. When I brought it back, I was told since I had used some, which is how I noticed it wasn't the right color, there was nothing they could do for me. Tim's obviously very experienced and just a really nice guy. I walked into the store with my Husky…read morechainsaw, because the chain was stuck, it just wouldn't move at all. It wasn't the chain brake! Tim took one look at the chain and said "I know exactly what's wrong!". And he was right! After my last use with a loose chain, the chain was thrown off. After I'd put the chain back on again, it got burred and that's why it was jammed and couldn't travel on the bar. Tim filed down some of the burrs and after less than 5 minutes he was done and tested the chainsaw - success! I was so grateful! I asked how I could take good care of my chainsaw and he took the time to explain how to keep things clean and well maintained. Again, he's a really nice guy. As I was walking out, another customer came in for a hug! C'mon!!
