Hello Have always enjoyed going to this store with the friendly staff that are so helpful when I am putting a project together. From plumbing to electrical and the best key cutters in town. After having such a talented group of workers that take such pride in their work it saddens me when I drive into the parking lot it looks like the store has been abandoned for years. I've tried so hard to support this small business in town, but their prices, return policy and lack of customer service in general is terrible. I brought back 3 pieces of unused drywall and an unopened package of electrical wire. Purchased on 3/31/23. They don't have the option of in store credit, and a firm 30 day return policy forces me to take my business elsewhere. Busy parent and doing a lot of work on my own. If a business can't be flexible in 2023 as to an unopened proof of purchase date, I won't support. The Astronomical up charge on items there make this an easy decision. read more

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The Manager Aaron at the Wilsonville store is a real tool! We purchased a $620.00 portable AC unit which we DIDN'T EVEN OPEN and went in to return it 3 days later because of the horrible reviews online. Aaron told us ALL SALES ARE FINAL and would not return it. He was very rude and told us to leave the store. I called corporate and they told me the owner and manager are, in their opinion, being totally unfair but it is ultimately up to them to decide to return your purchases. I would steer clear of this Wilsonville store at all costs! Newberg Ace Hardware doesn't even carry AC units and I told them how we were treated and they happily returned it to their store. Wilsonville Ace Hardware employees not social distancing. I ran in to the Wilsonville Ace Hardware this morning and was shocked at how the employees were violating social distance rules. They made no effort to observe even a three foot distance from customers. One employee even literally brushed past me in the checkout aisle where I could not move to avoid him. No workers were wearing masks, and the sales terminal they were using had no plexiglass shield. Unless you feel comfortable potentially being exposed to COVID-19 I would avoid shopping there. Funny how this new outpost in the Ace Hardware chain feels downright quaint and local. Unfortunately, I think their stay in Wilsonville will probably be short lived through no fault of the employees. As they were announcing the grand opening of this location one thought kept repeating in my mind, "They do know a Fred Meyer is coming to town, right?" Even before that competition comes into play, this location has been home to several hardware and grocery stores through the years and none of them have stuck. It is on the backside of the Wilsonville Loop and just doesn't get a lot of traffic. Those two factors combined are going to be tough to overcome. Too bad because I've popped in here several times and always left impressed by the excellent service. read more

Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. We've purchased paint here a few times and the gentleman that assisted us was very patient and kind. We always prefer to come here rather than hitting up Home Depot or Lowe's. The parking is close and you can get one on one assistance. We also had some keys duplicated a little while ago and they were fast and inexpensive. read more

Until Ace opened (or reopened) in Wilsonville, we had to go to Canby for any tool such items. Or to Home Depot which is not very enjoyable. Glad Ace is here. It's a smaller sized one, but they do carry paint, a large variety of tools, and gardening supplies. read more

I've bought here before and they have a decent selection. They mostly leave you alone unless you ask for help or lurk for your attention, but they're very responsive when you do. However...if I'm there looking for a tool required by the installation instructions for something I'm doing, I don't mind if they don't have it (that's just life, and I actually expected it but tried anyway because they are nearby and my next best alternative is Home Depot, which I know has it but didn't want to drive to). But I do mind if the guy helping me tells me in a somewhat critical tone that he's done that kind of thing before and never needed that particular tool. I know, a lost sale hurts, but frankly? Criticizing your customer for following directions, because you don't have the thing they need, not so cool. Still three stars, partly for convenience, partly because they've mostly been helpful, and partly because I believe he was also being honest, despite the slightly sour-grapes choice of choosing to say it. I really enjoy having this store in town, as it sure beats driving up the freeway to Tigard where the big stores are located. I try to shop here, because I want them to stay in business (other hardware stores in Wilsonville have failed over the years), and it's good to have a local place to shop. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. This store carries an enormous variety of inventory, so whatever it is, you can probably find it. Not just tools and nails, but light bulbs, yard care, paint, or household cleaners; it's all here. They've got propane too, which is hard to find in town. read more

Let's say there's some room for improvement here. The best thing about this place is the lady cashier with the brown hair. She's really good at customer service. The other folks working here could stand to promote her and get the hell out. I had a lot of trouble getting a certain key copied. It's not a super rare key or anything. I went twice. Not only could they not help me, but they were either disorganized about it, rude, or both. Think I'll be going to West Linn from now on, cuz they're competent. read more

Ruth or whoever that angry 70y/o redhead cashier is, is rude and unprofessional. I used to always shop this store and apparently they had a recent management change. This woman is angry for no reason what so ever. It's apparently normal for her. She Immediately resorted to anger when I asked to return an item. Stonewall and be rude is her motto. I won't be back. The manager helped me out, but I'm left feeling verbally assaulted from this rude old lady. read more

When you come to these stores typically it's for a specific reason and not to just look around. So to come in and ask for a specific part and the staff member knows exactly what you're talking about and where to direct you is extremely helpful. My boyfriend and I did just that today and the staff was happy and eager to help. Hey they also give military discount and thanked me for my service on in writing on the receipt- cool! read more

I had a bad experience here a couple years ago and was appalled at their customer service skills and I won't go back. I gave the checkout girl a ten dollar bill and she treated me like a criminal and told me the bill could be counterfeit. I was shocked and told her well it just came from BofA so if it was the bank gave it to me. Finally I told her to give the bill back and I'd pay with a CC. She slammed open and closed the register and threw the receipt at me. Wow. All that hostility and accusation for bird food. Trust me kiddo- If I was going to rip you off, I certainly wouldn't be doing it with Berry Treat Suet Cakes. read more

The staff and the quality of this Ace is wonderful. I am always patiently assisted, the staff that works there are all locals so if I have questions that go "beyond the call of duty" they always help. The store it self is well stocked and has everything you can possibly need. To address an earlier post - I don't think having Fred Meyer in town will significantly change the clientele of Ace. I would always rather to go to Ace where staff can help me find what I am looking for (even if I don't quite know what it is) and I can be in and out in no time. read more

Good price on propane vs the RV place off of I-5, but the service inside lacks a bit.

It's great to have a real hardware store back in WiIlsonville. The staff is really knowledgeable.. The prices are sometimes a bit more than big box or discount places as I expect from this type of store. However, I have found items at times that are better priced than Walmart or Harbor Freight even. So it pays to check around. read more

It has just about everything you could need. The employees on the floor are always helpful and know what they are talking about.

The staff are helpful and courteous. I appreciate they are never condescending even though I am a young woman. They help you find exactly what you are looking for quickly and don't push a bunch of extra stuff on you. read more
