Our AC died during a heatwave, so we called this company out. They diagnosed a bad compressor and said the unit needed to be relocated to a more open area -- our previous (unavailable) tech had never mentioned a compressor issue, but we agreed. $4,000 later for the compressor replacement and relocation, the unit cooled worse than before. During the job, they burned through our line insulation while welding and left it damaged, left holes in our garage wall unfilled, and the condenser started rattling. A tech came out the next day but only checked pressures -- refused to open the unit to diagnose the rattling. Shortly after, the system was severely overpressurized. A manager who'd never seen the unit quoted us $1,500 over the phone for a valve replacement he believed was the problem. The tech who came out blew his gauge hose on our condenser and left. To their credit, they came back and fixed the valve for free -- likely due to our frustration, and the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. Then, while inspecting the coil, they found mold on the insulation and the manager pushed another $5,000-7,000 full unit replacement. Instead of trying to clean with UV, remove the old insulation and a duct cleaning service, saying that won't work. We were also told the coil was "probably" leaking, but the technician couldn't explain how he knew that. We declined and asked for just the insulation replaced -- they said they didn't carry insulation and stuffed bubble wrap around the coil instead. The AC works now, but performs no better than before any of this started. Between the sight-unseen quotes and constant upsells pushed by management with little diagnostic follow-through, it's hard not to wonder if their managers work on commission for these add-ons. These people are complete scam artists & have terrible customer service. They charged us almost $4,000 to incorrectly install a water heater, missing crucial components that are legally required by California law. Two of their technicians improperly installed said water heater to the point where we had no water within our entire house; we went from just having no warm water to having no running water within the entire house & having to replace our faucets & showerheads + repipe the entire house. The damages caused by this company ended up costing over $18,000 to fix, and one of the technicians was being completely inappropriate & unprofessional towards myself as well. After improperly & illegally installing the water heater, one of the two technicians that arrived to my home told me that he needed to report back to his supervisor because he didn't know how to fix the problems he caused. Then the next day, he came to my house alone, made no progress towards fixing anything, & told me to call a plumber. Meanwhile while also charging us almost $4,000 to give us more issues than we started with, the technician made multiple uncomfortable passes at me; he called me gorgeous, and shortly after proceeded to close the door to my bathroom with him & myself alone in it & tell me that I have beautiful hair. The next day, the air conditioning unit I have, in which this company also installed, began leaking; it was actively pouring out water. I notified the company over 15 times; I called them multiple times daily, reporting that this was an emergency & our air conditioning unit was under warranty, yet they declined to send a technician out until over 5 days later. When they finally sent out a technician to maintenance the air conditioning unit, they simply patched it up with metal tape sealant & left. The air conditioning unit immediately began leaking again, so I had another HVAC service repair company come in, this company reported to me that the air conditioning unit had also been improperly installed by Ace Home Heating & Air. The technician from the other HVAC company notified me that the unit was fitted with an improper pipe, so that water was not able to drain properly + the unit itself was improperly sealed. After contacting the company over 40 times to alert them of the illegally installed water heater, they eventually sent out a technician that simply took pictures, but did not install the seismic strapping or bolt down the vent at the top of the water heater. I ended up having to rely on another plumbing company to properly install the water heater; the other plumbing company notified me that due to the improperly installed vent on the water heater, there may be a possible carbon monoxide leak within the house. My entire family had to evacuate the house, while the fire department & paramedics were deployed to our home to make sure Ace Home Heating & Air's illegally installed water heater did not expose my entire family to carbon monoxide gas. I have additionally asked multiple times for receipts for any of the past 5 years of services I have received from this company, & they have sent me nothing. I have attempted to contact the company over 50 times & have been getting little to no help from any of the receptionists; they never gave us an invoice or receipt for any of the "services" they provided, & have actively been having a very nasty & rude attitude towards me. Everyone involved in this company is quite frankly disgusting. I talked to many different receptionists at the company, but Rosa & Sophia were the most disrespectful & the absolutely least helpful, especially Rosa. This whole company needs to be reported to the California Department of Consumer Affairs & the local Better Business Bureau for breaking multiple laws. I encourage everyone who has been negatively impacted by this company to report them. Stay far away from this company unless you want to be overcharged for unnecessary repairs, pay out of pocket to fix improperly installed appliances, be harassed within your own home, be possibly poisoned, & also be condescended over the phone by the company's receptionists. read more

We had an appointment today between 8 and noon. When noon arrived and technician had not arrived, I called 951-772-3741 and spoke with Sofia. She said that the technician was delayed doing a longer than expected job. She said that it appeared he would not be able to get here until 1:30 or closer to 2:00. She asked if we wanted to reschedule, I said no, that's ok, as we have already waited over half of the day. She said she would call if he couldn't be here by the latter time. It is 3:38, so I call again. I'm told he is on his way. I asked if she could tell me how far he is and when he should be here. Now she says that he is getting gas... I said ok. She said as soon as she gets an ETA, she would text me. I had plenty of other things I could have done today, rather than sit around all day waiting, without any communication from ACE, other than when I'd call. This is extremely poor service. On top of this, we had an appointment scheduled for Monday August 3rd, on our calendar with them. No one showed up and no one called. This is why we rescheduled for today. I was told by Sofia that we didn't have an appointment for August 3rd, though we did. Abraham, the original guy who installed our air-conditioned system was trustworthy and on time. I asked Sofia for Abraham's phone number, she said they are not allowed to give it out, but she would let him know that I want to speak with him. I doubt that she will. I'm not sure any more about ACE taking it over. It is now after 4:00. Still know text message indicating an estimated time of arrival from Sofia. This service sucks. read more

I have been an ACE Home Heating and Air Conditioning customer for years, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. ACE installed a brand-new HVAC system in my home in 2021. Since the installation, I have experienced multiple issues with both the installation and the system itself. In March 2026, I had a maintenance appointment with ACE that lasted about 30 minutes. The technician did not wash the outdoor unit and told me my ductwork needed to be cleaned for several thousand dollars. He also claimed the unit had high pressure. Wanting a second opinion, I contacted another HVAC company. They found the pressures were normal but pointed out that the AC unit installed was oversized for my home and that the main duct connected to the system was too small. I repeatedly called and texted ACE to discuss these findings, but no one returned my calls or messages. To ACE's credit, they later offered a complimentary maintenance visit. The technician who came out around July 10 did an excellent job. He thoroughly cleaned the unit, showed me the system readings, and confirmed everything was operating within normal ranges. I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, on July 23, my thermostat stopped working. Replacing the fuses temporarily fixed the problem, but the system failed again the very next day. I called ACE on July 24 and was given an appointment for the following day. Later that same day, my husband called to see if there were any cancellations and was told we didn't even have an appointment scheduled and that the earliest available appointment was several days later. Receiving conflicting information when your AC isn't working during extreme heat was incredibly frustrating. Because we couldn't continue without air conditioning, I contacted Magnolia Heating and Cooling. They were able to inspect the system quickly and informed me that the unit installed was too large for my home and that the electrical wiring and breaker configuration did not match the equipment's requirements. They also stated these issues should have been identified by the company that installed the system. What disappointed me the most was my interaction with Rosa in the office. I called around 9:15 a.m. after sending an email explaining everything that had happened. I understand this is one of the busiest times of the year for HVAC companies, but I expected some level of empathy and a willingness to help. Instead, I was told the company was too busy to assist me and that I would have to wait until Wednesday for my appointment. Rosa also told me that if I wanted to, I could hire another HVAC company to perform the work. When I explained that my system still has a 10-year warranty, she told me that only the parts are covered and not the labor. I asked why I would take the unit to another company if the warranty is through ACE, but I never received a clear answer. As a customer, it felt like I was being encouraged to take my business elsewhere instead of being helped by the company that installed my system. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. Rosa told me there was no one available in the office and that she would send an email to a supervisor. I asked if I could be copied on that email, but she said that wasn't possible. She then told me she would let the technician know, and I had to clarify that I was not asking to speak with a technician--I was specifically requesting a supervisor. She later told me that Henry is a supervisor. When I asked who Henry reported to, she said Mike. When I asked who Mike reported to, she responded that she didn't know who the owner of the company was because she "just works there" and "clocks in at 7:30 a.m. and leaves at 3:00 p.m." That response was surprising and left me feeling that my concerns were not being taken seriously. This entire experience has been disappointing. My frustration isn't just because my air conditioning isn't working--it's because I have been trying since March to get help with concerns related to a system ACE installed, and my repeated attempts to resolve these issues have largely gone unanswered. During dangerous summer temperatures, I simply wanted someone to take ownership of the situation and help move it toward a resolution. I have been a loyal customer for years, and I expected better communication, better follow-up, and better customer service. I hope ACE's management reviews my experience, improves communication with customers, and stands behind the work they perform. At the end of the day, all I want is for my air conditioning to be repaired correctly so my family can be safe and comfortable in our home. read more

Had another company come out and told me that the unit should've been closer to $7000. Now I have to pay an additional $4000 for additional work that should've been caught the first time. The technician claimed that the gas flex were good in his report. I had another party come and check the concern that I had they were able to figure out the problem and the concern that I had they found a puncture in the gas flex line that was causing the gas to leak. I called to repair my compressor, but the salesperson said my R22 system had to be replaced with a new R454B unit for $10,000, assuring me it included everything. When the tech arrived, they added extra charges for new copper lines and damaged my ceiling while enlarging the attic entrance. The technician said he had received approval from his manager to cut the ceiling and assured me the company would cover the repair. It's been two weeks and, despite multiple calls, no manager has responded or scheduled the fix. I later had to call again because my heater stopped working, even though it was tested before the installation was completed. The day after the installation, two people claiming to be state auditors entered the attic and left without any signatures or documentation. They said we'd receive a report, but two weeks later, nothing has been provided. Our home cameras also show the woman taking video of my wife without consent. When the technician returned to repair the heater, he said the system had been tampered with and found loose wires -- the only people up there were the supposed auditors. This company is sloppy and unprofessional. I do not recommend doing business with them. If you do, record everything, verify IDs and badges, and document all interactions. read more

The fan coil to my heat pump sprung a leak. I called Carrier since the coil is still under warranty. Ace was one of the companies Carrier recommended so I asked them for a quote to complete the repair. They committed to the job and provided a fixed price, but then later raised the price by 28%. (I have both prices in writing.) Then, they said they wouldn't do the job unless Carrier would "will call the warranty part as they didn't want to pay for the part themselves upfront." Ace must do these warranty repairs regularly so it's surprising that they didn't know Carrier's warranty process. It makes me wonder if they just decided that their quote was still too low. In the end, they completely bailed and caused my repair to be delayed by several weeks. read more

Let me begin by saying this is worst experience I have ever had. I would provide 0 (zero) stars if I could. They were originally called out to repair a faulty thermostat. We have a special AC that requires the thermostat to be compatible with the existing AC. They never bothered to check this and instead I ended up with an after market (their own brand) thermostat. They moved and rewired everything which compromised the AC. I ended up having to bring out a different company to repair the mess they made. The owner or service manager never called until my numerous attempts to get this resolved. I was hung up on by a very rude service manager that left me talking in half sentence. Don't waste your money as I did on this company. They obviously have no expertise on troubleshooting ACs that are only compatible to their own brand. And they apparently don't care about customer service because this was clearly overlooked when attempting to resolve any issues!!! read more

Do not use this company. Their sales tactics are DISHONEST and aggressive. They overcharged for a new AC and evaporator coil. They took advantage of our situation and charged us $11K. The installers left a mess (trash in the yard, trash in the attic, black stains on the walls and thermostat). Called a third party installer to come out and review their work and told us for comparable equipment, they would have charged $8K. He noted that the equipment was not sealed properly, refrigerant caps were missing, new condenser unit was not leveled, duct tape instead of UV-resistant tape was used, and refrigerant bulb not properly installed. This is my first time using Ace Home heating & air conditioning, they came out to diagnose my AC and conducted a slight repair pending a leak search and needed a follow up conducted within the next day to identify the source of the leak. The office/admin team is extremely hard to try to conduct business with - whether it's getting an ETA on a tech or getting a revision on an invoice. I am 2 days + waiting for a tech to come conduct the leak search - I've been calling all day and have been waiting since 10am and just was told of a reschedule and not asked. I am updating my review after ACE Home and Heating continued to power call my cell for months after my Yelp review. Never leaving a message. Just harassing power calls. Their response to my initial review is all false. The technician never even set foot in my house, so he never had access to my so-called "dirty filters" that they "have pictures of". He simply replaced the capacitor on the external unit and hosed down the unit while it was uncovered. The after hours service fee in their rebuttal that I "was informed of" is also false. My initial request for service wasn't an after hour call, it became that when the technician showed up 4 hours late. I'm revisiting this review again because I just got a call from their office saying that I had an upcoming appointment with them because I had signed up for a subscription maintenance service that I "was informed of during the service call". When I disputed the subscription and inquired about the cost, I was informed that this subscription was added as "part of the discount bundle" for service and that I had agreed to it. When I asked the rep to please email me a copy of my initial invoice because I had no recollection of such an additional fee, she said she was not able to do that and told me that she now realized that there was no additional cost. I know there's been a few positive reviews since mine, and I'm glad it worked out for those folks. But, buyer beware with this company. My experience has been exactly as I have described, regardless of what they may write. I have nothing to gain from making all this craziness up. Every year our AC will work for a few or several hours, then only the fan works and there's no more cold. Michael with ACE came out to look at it and he was very nice, and arrived even earlier than we expected. He seemed quite thorough and explained everything to us. I really didn't expect much difference, as I know the unit probably needs replacing. But whatever Michael did really seems to have helped, because the AC has been working for a few days in a row now without pooping out. I am only a tenant, so I cannot speak to pricing or invoicing or even setting up the appointment. But as far as the parts of the service for which we are knowledgeable and were present, we so far have been very happy. read more

David Moreno came and spend a lot of time troubleshooting to see what is going before determining that its time for a new unit...since fixing it will not only be expensive but no telling how long it will last. he cleaned after inspections and give me report that the other company did not. tenant was happy with his work and decided to go ahead with this company... price was not the cheapest but not expensive. but i am very happy with the promptness and the quality of work. so i get what i paid for and it was all worthed new hvac and furnace replaced in 5 hours and cleaned and no damage to the property during the work.. I have to change this review.. while the install Was good... but the follow up on repair and permit was BAD.. i have to call and they promised to call me back and never called.. have to keep chasing them.. worst.. the person that did the test... not covering up and left with mess in the closet and make cloth inside the closet dirty.. and the agreement with me was they will cover and clean up after work done. Some of the dirt caused by them has to be dry clean since it cannot be put in washing machine. Bad customer service... i should checked this before purchasing from them. read more

Michael came out for a service call and was the only person who was able to identify my issue after 4 other people looked at my system and said it was fine. He offered me multiple solutions but we decided to go ahead and replace the entire system... The price was good and also we got a system buyback credit of over $1000... That was helpful. The installers came out the very next day! Ace came out because I had no cold air coming out of my vents in the home. The office was very polite taking all of my information. They had a technician come out the next day in the morning. The guys name was Carlos. He showed me the issues I was having and didn't make me feel like I was asking dumb questions when asking about the air. Carlos got my system cooling again pretty quick.
