Came here to enjoy a tasting while passing through the area. The drinks are delicious but everything else was subpar. They have an outdoor tent with benches where you can sit and enjoy a drink. Would be great if the employees weren't sitting in there without masks on, walking around, smoking cigarettes. Guess small towns don't bother to follow state laws and think 2nd hand smoke is acceptable.

The Ace Guava apple cider might be one of the greatest things I ever tasted. Combined with the fact that it's a small, family owned business, and they make everything from real fruits, instead of chemicals, and I'm a lifelong customer. Can't wait to try all of their flavors. Also, happy to learn, that they're even available at a couple bars in Albany, NY!

ACE, I finally found you! Ignore your GPS, for it tells lies. The address listed here on yelp is correct. My GPS tried for 3000 something Gravenstein Hwy N, and that was quite incorrect. Luckily my companion was seasoned traveler and fellow cider lover Regina W., who was able to re-route us successfully. This place is open 1-5 pm Fridays only, from the horse's mouth, not their website, which still needs to be updated from 2-5. They're hoping to expand soon, so that is very exciting news to fans here in Sacramento. I first heard about Ace from a good friend that used to go to the first Ace in the Hole while he was at Sonoma State University. I became hooked on the perry cider and the Joker soon after, and the rest is history. It's still one of my favorite cider brands. Try the sampler! We got to try 10 ciders for $10 on our last trip here, including some seasonals. I had never even heard of Space before, aka the Bloody Orange Cider. Yum! I would definitely come back to hang out on the picnic benches again. If I lived in Sebastopol I would be here every Friday! Those lucky Sebastopolians. Note: Keep an eye out for Star Wars memorabilia.

A must for all cider and beer enthusiasts! I am totally not being bias when I say this is the best bar in the world- they do serve up one of the most freshest apple cider on tap here! They come in wide variety of flavors so do yourself a flavor and get the sampler if you haven't experienced Ace before but if you have, get one anyway because their tap taste a million times better :) I love Ace cider and wish I lived closer! If your in the area and happens to be a Friday... Make a effort to come- you won't regret tasting their amazing brew! The staff is friendly and the place is cozy equipped with pool table!

Ace was doing cider when the industry was still in diapers. They continue to pump out top notch innovative ciders. My favorite is the Joker, tons of flavor but only 3 grams of carbs. Runner up is the amazing Blackjack, aged in Chardonnay barrels.

Great hard cider! The tasting for $12 includes 9 tastings of cider on draft. They are served on a tray with the names of each one. They also offer cider by the glass, growler, keg, or for purchase. Cons: Only open Friday. The service was mediocre. She was friendly if asked questions, but it was not the normal tasting experience. She was also not too knowledgeable. It was very hot inside and they didn't offer fans. I would sit outside but then you can't talk to the server. There is no tasting room sign once you enter the parking lot. The facility is actually production for many other wineries. Please install a sign with an arrow. The tasting room is hidden on the far back side of the facility. You will see lots of cars, but 95% are employees. So you will have to park further away.

Saw a bottle of this pear-flavored hard cider on the shelf of my local Whole Foods market and decided to give it a try. Nice stuff! i'm no taste expert, but it's kinda like ginger ale - with a crisp pear-flavored aftertaste. It's so smooth, a 22-oz bottle goes down pretty quick. Definitely want to try out their other flavors with different kinds of foods. Turns out, they're up north, in Sebastopol (cool area). http://www.acecider.com/

ACE makes my favorite ciders so I was happy to visit the tasting room while I was in Sebastopol. I ordered the flight so I could try the flavors that are not available in stores near me. The tasting room is fairly small but very cozy and the bartender was friendly.

Loved their ciders for a while and dropped in while visiting from out of town. Unfortunately their tasting room was closed at the time, but a woman named Sarah came out and sold us a pack of ciders anyways. We got to try the seasonal pumpkin cider (which was delicious by the way!) and the hospitality was surely appreciated!

Unfortunately ACE was purchased and no longer offers tastings on Friday afternoon. Don't bother to drive to this location!

Ask the Community - ACE Premium Hard Ciders

    It's only open 1 day a week?

    Yep, only on Fridays.

Is it dog friendly? I am camping in the area in order to come here, but was hoping I could bring my dog along instead of leaving him in the car?

Yes there are plenty of tables outside to sit with your dog!

I never waited in the beverage line for more than a few minutes. Food was ordered at the bar and servers ran it out. Several TVs inside along the wall, a large projector screen on the east wall, and a 65" outside all displayed the game. The sound was good too. I had no difficulty hearing the match over the noise of the crowded venue. Water was supplied next to the bar and was self service. It was constantly kept full. I never saw it empty. When the bar served so much it ran out of glasses they already had plastic cups available. Overall, great spot full of great people. Well done.

My wife and I had just visited Abbey Tavern this past weekend, a premier Scottish pub in the City, and we expected a similar atmosphere. However, the moment we showed up, we were met with great disappointment. The Goose & Fern is honestly a terrible place to watch a sports match: there was only a single TV mounted in the back corner of the restaurant, the TV wasn't particularly large, and the speakers had been turned completely off. What a bust. Although the food was decent, especially the Shepherd's pie -- which came piping hot in a small cast iron skillet, the service was downright dreadful and almost non-existent. We never received waters (or were even asked if we wanted beverages), our table wasn't given enough silverware, we were never checked on during the meal, and we were waiting around for 30 minutes twiddling our thumbs before somebody from our party finally went up to try to pay for the check. In hindsight, a tip was not warranted for the lack of service. Overall, Yelp grossly misled me on The Goose & Fern. This is not a spot I would stop by again to watch a sporting match. If you're in this part of Santa Rosa, do yourself a favor and head over to Dave and Busters down the street where they have a bunch of massive screens, tons of beer options, and service that will far surpass what you're getting here.

They have a very good tap selection here. I was happy to have several good options for a cold draft. The place looks and feels like a traditional Irish Pub with lots of local folks who are clearly regulars at this well maintained pub. We got the fried green beans appy. They were good, well breaded, and not greasy at all. I ordered the chinese chicken salad and it was very tasty. Maybe a smidge too much dressing, but it is a light dressing so too much was probably just right with this salad. My friend got the shrimp tacos. They presentment on the tacos was very nice.
