I hate to leave poor reviews!!!. BUT here we are.. to start, being a craft beer junkie I LOVE the draft list with very fair pricing including HH 4-6pm daily!! AND, I'm completely good with dive bar status, as such.. I'm used to 'East Coast' and other servíce standards, but being refused a Flight and Insisting full pour ONLY with terse expletive isn't warranted. We did get our flight and experienced completely epic service from maybe the owner and others accommodating us.. one pool table, coin-fed and popcorn on the house.. Come for beer and dismiss moods from employees that maybe didn't want work the shift. I was hoping for more when epic beer is on tap!! Respectfully, my wife refuses to come back.. 'servíce turned craft beer sour!!'

Fun and amazing spot for a stress free environment

Service is on top and very fun , Jeremiah is awesome!! First timers and definitely going to come back. Bring friends !!! 21+

The husband and I got to experience this place from a Groupon purchase. We came in on a sunny Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. There wasn't a lot of customers but those who were there seemed like regulars. They had 32 different beers on tap. Our Groupon allowed us to sample six four ounces. They give you a little piece of paper to write down which ones you would like to taste and as you write the guy behind the counter begins to fill each little glass. We really enjoyed this place because of the laid back atmosphere. The bartender didn't bother us or push us to purchase a beer. There is old school rock playing in the background. A little game room behind the wall that housed a pool table, darts and pin ball.

This place has an odd selection of beers, why have I not heard of some of these! Service is clicky, meaning they won't really ask you what you'd like, you have to wait till they have your undivided attention. Multitasking may be an issue for the beertenders here. I find that in taprooms, service can sometimes be spotty when the beertenders don't have more serving experience and personality. But the ambiance is like a cool tavern, an escape from all the tasting rooms and wineries all around the town of Sonoma. Overall, nice venue, decent service and new beers to add to my repertoire. 4/5

This is todays selection of brews! Love this place already. Reasonably priced pints. For the town of Sonoma, that rocks.

Loved to find this place. We stumbled upon this place when a person we were considered sharing a living situation with suggested we meet him here. Was pleasantly surprised. The person behind the bar was very helpful and even admitted that none of the current selections fit what type of beer I was looking for. I wanted something super hoppy but not too bitter, though not sweet either. They had just run out of Lagunitas IPA the day or so before, and I wasn't in the mood for a Racer 5. She had me try several to get me interested in something else that they did have. Worked great! Found another beer I was in the mood for, a nice unfiltered wheat. We were there in an early afternoon on a week day and even then it was decently stocked with people. There was still ample bar and table seating though. Once our meeting was done we moved to the bar from a table and grabbed another pint. Great craic! So many fun people to chat with. We noted how they let you bring in food from the place next door, or really from anywhere since they don't have a kitchen and they want you to stay and drink more beer! Cool! We were instant fans of this place! If we're in the area again, we're so stopping at this place for a pint. Love the awesome selection. If anything, I've been to other places with just as awesome of a selection, however these places are all spread out and few and far in between. I am so stoked to find another! Sooooo refreshing to find a place where the locals chill in Sonoma that is unpretentious unprecocious and just a good ol' time with a pint.

Sure I was interested in some food but it was also a football Sunday and I wanted a cold frosty beer to celebrate my hike and the start of my roadtrip. I don't do strict planning when it comes to eating and drinking. I often find it more intriguing when serendipity plays a hand. I'm walking down this town's main retail square, insured something was within reach. I pass by this unassuming dive bar with no signage but very well laid out inside. It was surprisingly quiet for a weekend afternoon in a touristy spot. Friendly bartender asked me what I wanted. But I ask first if I could get our local football game on and if they served food. Game yes said it would be on within minutes. Food unfortunately no but there were tons of options outside the door. Ordered a cold lager on tap from the east coast. The lager was light cold and refreshing. I think I finished it within minutes. Tender was quick to ask for a refill, love that. I next get a beer refill, and a Jameson on the rocks to quietly sip on, as I was now committed to watching the first half there. Very impressive glass and pour on the Irish whisky. I take a few sips but finish my beer, but this time much longer to down as I wasn't so parched now. I sip the rest of the whisky but now well diluted from the cold ice, which makes it so much more smooth to me. It opens the spirit, takes away the heat and blooms the flavors. My second round took over an hour. Then halftime hits in the game with a close score, even though my team did not look good. I tell the bartender that I'll close out to look for some lunch. By this time the bar was filling up. 3 perfectly timed drinks for well under $10 bucks a pop just sent me on my long weekend on a sweet note. I found food around the corner where they had a tv and I was able to watch the remaining of the game there. If no TVs were found, I would have gone back to the bar to finish the game. I was still pleased with my short experience there. Small town watering hole encapsulated.

Unfortunately, what started as an exciting night quickly took a disappointing turn when one of my colleagues was denied entry because he was wearing a bandana as a stylish hair covering. The staff member at the door told him that his bandana indicated gang affiliation. As a Black man, he was singled out based on an assumption that was both offensive and troubling. There were no posted signs indicating a dress code prohibiting bandanas, hats, or similar headwear. From our perspective, it appeared that our group of Black and Brown professionals was unfairly judged based on stereotypes rather than any actual behavior. What made the experience even more concerning was discovering other reviews that raised similar concerns about the treatment of non-white patrons. Afterward, I also noticed photos on the establishment's social media pages showing white patrons wearing bandanas around their necks and on their heads, which only reinforced our perception that the policy was not being applied consistently. As someone visiting Sonoma for the first time, this experience was unsettling and deeply disappointing. Several members of our group had already entered the bar and ordered food, but after what happened, we chose to pay our tabs and leave. We do not support businesses where we feel discrimination, bias, or racial profiling may be at play. Fortunately, we found another local establishment that welcomed our group of more than 30 colleagues with warmth and professionalism, and we were happy to spend our money there instead. I sincerely hope management takes a closer look at its policies, staff training, and how those policies are enforced. Every guest deserves to be treated with respect and fairness. Based on this experience, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Yesterday was a low key chill day, and we needed a place to just relax and begin to let go of all the stress. The girl and the fig was just right. We are like an hour away from Sonoma, and we been here many times just never together. The restaurant's environment is extremely amazing. We showed up, no previous reservation made,we showed up during their peak hours and they managed to seat us within 5 mins perfectly were we requested. Perfect ambiance to sit, drink, eat and enjoy a beautiful sunset. We started with The Morel mushroom tartare, which is morel mushrooms, with an egg, shallots and chives oil over a perfectly well toasted sourdough. Delicious! The steak tartare did not disappoint either. Great balance of flavor between the two. The mushroom earthy flavors along with a light hint of pesto from the morel tartare really balanced out the richness from the steak tartare. The pickled figs served with in the steak tartare really called my attention as they were delicious as well. That was my first having pickled figs :) The salad was delicious, I am a sucker for cheese and the perfectly ripe figs along with the chèvre cheese truly hit the spot. The wild flounder pouched was the wild surprise! I love a restaurant that preps their seafood just right. I love seafood! And I do not like it when it's over cooked. This dish did not disappoint! It was so rich and delicious. Flaky yet nicely seared on one side full of that citrus flavors along which just enhances fish's flavor once it hits the taste buds! The flounder was served over a bed of mashed potato and spinach. That perfect combination. The drinks were delicious as well. Honestly, the service, the food, the vibe, the sunset it was all perfect. I just didn't order anything that blew me away or that I think is particularly unique or difficult, hence the 4 stars. I came with a group for lunch on a sunny Saturday and sat on the patio. Although there are umbrellas, our specific table was exposed and we were roasting! They were kind enough to relocate us to another part of the patio despite the crowds. Otherwise, it felt bright and cheery! For food, I ordered the fig & arugula salad and the smoked salmon. The salad was a great portion size for a meal (or to share as a side), it was perfectly dressed, and the toppings were proportional & balanced. One of the better salads I've had out! The smoked salmon was good but nothing to write home about. Their house chips are nice and thick, which I like, but a little too salty for me. I'd like to come back up to try the mussels, duck or some other entree next time I'm in the area, though I probably wouldn't go out of my way.
