We were out for dinner in Rohnert Park (we live in other parts of Sonoma County) and were looking for a place to have a nightcap after dinner. Someone suggested we try Quincy's Pub, and I am glad we did. This place exudes classic Pub decor - a rare find these days, particularly around Sonoma County. No pretensions here - just the basics. They offer a full bar, casual and comfy environment, and friendly service. We dropped in on a Saturday, which happened to be Karaoke night, which was fun - although it was a little loud for some of the songs (and the harmonica guy) but overall just added to the experience. Would have loved to see a pool table in a corner somewhere, but... Overall, the drinks were great, and fairly priced. The service was quick and friendly as were the locals. What a home feeling pub. There's karaoke 4 nights a week starting Thursday's. The regulars are so welcome and the staff friendly. They made a pot of coffee at 9 pm for my friend and I. Beer is overpriced. A glass of IPA was $9.50 and for some weird reason jack-n-coke was $8.50. Unless your part of their clique/local, dont even bother with karaoke at Quincys. Waited an hour and a half to sing one song. During the hour and half wait, the same individuals sang multiple times; the DJ was one of those individuals as well. Signed up for a second song, but was never called up bc the same people were called up over and over and over. Was there for 3 hours and did 1 song. DJ needs to learn how to balance out who sings to give others the opportunity. And if it's busy the DJ needs not to sing so others can. read more

Went here last night for the first time because I was in Rohnert Park for an adventure on my day off. I was looking up local places online similar to the place I go to in San Rafael all the time and found this place. Perfect choice! It was nice and close to my hotel so I was there within 10 mins thanks to uber. When I arrived, I immediately went and found a spot at the well stocked and super clean looking bar. The seats honestly look brand new to me and were super soft and comfy. The bartender with pretty blonde hair came over right away and took my order and made me a nice decent size drink. Quincys was nice also cuz they actually had a Dj playing music. The karaoke was just ending when I get there :). So it switched over to hip hop music after that and I was super happy. Only wish I had gotten there earlier. Will definitely go back. read more

Fun place for drinks but a GREAT place for a bite to eat! If you are lucky enough to catch Chef George, you are in for a treat. Nothing screams authentic like Greek food prepared by an actual Greek! I have been a repeat customer and have tried the gyro, salad, pork chops, spanakopita, and I absolutely love the tzatziki. Not to mention they offer rotating daily specials full of flavor and have vegetarian options! Decent drinky dive spot close by the highway in Rohnert Park. They have their own surface lot so parking is not an issue. I'd describe the decor as 1970's country and western. Some not too terrible chandiler thingys for super dim lighting, a rail separating the dining area from the bar, and lots of green felt covering all kinds of surfaces. They have bar seats instead of stools which .....actually works. Makes for more comfortable seating then then 1970's style hard back chairs in the dining area. The patio while basic is also a decent place to hang out and drink, especially if you plan on smoking, or like to be outdoors. The tap wall, wine selection, and spirt wall range from your basic bargain options-pabst (yes I know. But it's pabst on tap which is wayyy better then the can/bottle version. And very affordable at 2 bucks a pint.), evan williams- to mid range makers mark, lagunitas-which is perfect for casual drinking. Actually the wine selection is little better then you might expect for a divey little bar due to it's sononma county location. Don't get me wrong, this is not a fine wine bar that you drink with your pinky out, but the wine is better then the rotgut I've seen at other dives. Pricing is quite reasonable. Even outside the happy hour drinks will run you a budget friendly 4-6 bucks or so, for the mid tier items. Not bad at all. Gets a bit younger in the evening, but not terribly young. Not your college hangout is what I'm saying. Haven't ever seen it really busy, but then I never did get there on a friday or saturday night either. The owner is usually present and the bar staff are pretty friendly. As are the locals which you'll find hanging out during the happy hour. Mostly the retirement age group. Can't speak for the food, even though it was recommended by the local peeps the cook wasn't present on the days I was there-vacation of some such thing-thus the kitchen was closed. But I really enjoyed the mellow divey goodness of my drinking experience here. You could totally do worse. read more

I was in the area on a motorcycle trip, the weather was horrible, and I was wanting to find a place to watch the Vikings/Cowboys playoff game. Quincys was close to my motel and looked good. I received a very friendly greeting and they got the tv's fired up. I enjoyed a couple of really good bloody mary's. While I was there a local regular brought in a bunch of food for a buffet and I was told I could help myself for free. I was saving some room for dinner, so I didn't, but thought it was cool. The atmosphere is pretty nice and the service was pretty good. It was a fun place to watch the game as it ended up getting fairly busy and everyone was watching the game. The reviews speak the truth. There are no words that can explain the utter suckage of this place. They booked four bands last night to play. Before the first band even started, the staff complained that the sound checks were too loud. What, they've never had bands come before? It gets worse. As the bands play, the third one finally comes on, and then gets cut off as soon as they finish their first song. Reason given? "The bottles are rattling at the bar." So what? They claimed that the place would get shut down by the cops due to noise... another "WTF?" moment. You're a venue for music and you're worried about noise? The huge bouncer wearing a trench coat was faux sympathetic, standing right in front of the bands as they played, giving them bad looks or gesturing to turn it down. Sadly, the band that I came for was the last one. They never got to play. They drove 50 miles up here to get fucked by a nazi-like bar staff and bouncer who were too chickenshit to use their music venue as a... music venue. When I opened a tab, my two draft beers were quoted to be $5.50 each. When I closed the tab, they rang each drink up as $6. Not sure what was going on here. At the very least it's worth noting that $5.50 for a pint is too much. They don't deserve to be in business. At all. read more

I brought my family here for some much anticipated Rasta Dwight BBQ. I was a huge fan back in the day. Unfortunately, we found that no children are allowed in Quincy's, even during the day. We tried to explain that our infant daughter wasn't going to crack open a beer on our watch, but the waitress explained that it had to do with their insurance and we couldn't be allowed in or even sit on their back patio. Since I had been wanting some Rasta Dwight's BBQ so bad, my wife humored me by agreeing to get an order to go. The waitress grabbed some menus and we all stepped out on the sidewalk to place our order. Then the wait began. It took a half hour to get two sandwiches to go. A little ridiculous since I'm sure all the meat is done ahead of time. There is absolutely no smell of BBQ going on at this establishment. While we waited, we saw three other families attempt to dine here. One other stayed for the "to go" wait and the other two left in search of other food. Now on to the food.... I had the jerked pork sandwich with hot bbq sauce. The bbq sauce is just how I remember it. The pork was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor on it's own, but when combined with that sauce it made me a happy man. The red beans and rice had good flavor and I appreciate the bell pepper and other veggies in it. The coleslaw is awesome and goes great with the pork sandwich. My wife had a chicken sandwich with mild sauce on the side. Good thing my wife is picky and was going through the sandwich to remove any skin, because she found two bones in the sandwich. Watch out if you get the chicken! Her side of mac and cheese was super greasy, but if you don't mind that it was otherwise good. We finished off the meal by sharing the purple sweet potato pie. It reminded me of a very rich pumpkin pie. I loved it, but it was a little too much for my wife. It makes me really sad to report that we probably won't be back too often due to the "no kids" policy and the crazy long wait for food that is primarily already prepared. Honestly, after seeing the inside of Quincy's, I don't really think I'd want to eat there anyways. There are some other great BBQ spots around town now and Dwight has more competition than he ever did before. Rasta Dwight is BACKKKKKKK and I could not be happier! Saw it on the Bite Club and immediate texted my fiancé who is retired, to check it out! Memories of the Mac & cheese have been the benchmark for all others for 10 years. Okay, the facts: Tony had lunch at the bar, grown up atmosphere with Prohibition Ale on tap, texted after lunch " Oh my freaking gawk...the best, ribs, greens and Mac EVER!!! Should I bring home dinner.". Now since I have never been to the pub, I can't comment, but Tony said it could possibly be our new RP watering hole. Dwight , thanks for coming back, if only for lunch. I am humbled at your total understanding of ribs ( meaty, chewy & soft at the same time, dry rub can hold its own, but I enjoy the HOT BBQ sauce on the side), greens that are leafy vinegar porky goodness and Mac & cheese...don't get me started. Great Food, Great people We were looking for a bite to eat before an evening of live music At Green Music Center located at Sonoma State University. We found Quincy's. I was expecting burgers and sandwichs. When we asked for the bar menu to our surprise, No burgers Greek cuisine. We decided to split an order of prawns over a bed of rice pilaf. As the Chef, George set the plate down in front of us he said " Don't Fight ". After the first taste we understood what he meant and ordered a second plate. Delicious! I went here last night for the karaoke and had a horrible experience that I needed to share. I don't usually take my bad experiences to Yelp because I understand the stress of working retail, but this was absolutely traumatizing and I need to let people know so that they avoid this situation. I was with a group of friends, and we were there for the karaoke. We had a great time, drinks were pretty good, the guy working the karaoke station was friendly, didn't have any problems for a good hour of being there. My boyfriend and I performed a song together and it was a blast! We were dancing and enjoying ourselves up there. Once we finished, I went to sit back down at the table with my friends, to which shortly after I was approached by an older gentleman in his 50s. He said "Hey young lady I gotta tell you something." I was expecting maybe a compliment of our performance so I welcomed his approach and said "Yeah what's up?" He then walked closer towards me in my seat, grabbed my face with one of his hands and put his mouth in my ear and said, and I QUOTE,"you've got a rockin body, gorgeous." I was immediately shook and disgusted. This strange man grab my face and instead of appreciating our performance made comments about my body, while I'm sitting right next to my boyfriend. I was uncomfortable and furious. I asked the man to leave, and I told my friends to tell the bartender. This is where it 100% got worse. I approached the man and the group of his friends about 5 minutes after the incident and told him"First of all, never EVER should you ever approach a stranger and touch them, and don't ever disrespect a woman like that ever again. What you did was inappropriate and selfish." And I walked outside to cool off. I was angry and disturbed. After this happened the bartender working, tall Caucasian man with a fedora type hat on/brown hair, approaches me to speak about the incident. He started off by asking me "How old are you." To which I then replied 22 with squinted eyes because I had no idea why my age mattered in regards to this incident. He then told me "You should never approach a group of men you should have talked to me." To which I replied "What does that matter? That man made me uncomfortable and put his mouth in my ear and grabbed my face to tell me that he liked my body which was in no way shape or form appropriate." He then replied "You're in a bar, and your a young woman, I'm not sure what you expect. That's the type of environment your in. You should have taken it as a compliment." I WAS FURIOUS AT THIS POINT. The sexist comments he made solidified the type of mentality the people at this bar with old and I was no longer going to stay in the room, and other bystanders at the bar (which I should mention were mostly Caucasian, country-folk men) proceeded to validate the bartender and the man who did this to me and say that I was overreacting and I was a "brainwashed millennial." In short, I was enjoying myself having a good time, until a stranger assumed it would be okay to touch me and make a comment about my body, to which the bartender told me I should have been okay with and taken as a compliment. I only feel sorry that this bartender and some of the other people there really have this mentality, and that they told me because I'm a young, 22 year old female that I should EXPECT this behavior. Disgusting. I 100% am never going back to this place, I hope that this incident is really considered and that bartender is spoken with. Like I said, good drinks, even a really nice atmosphere and room, but horrible HORRIBLE service. read more

Saw Equipto it was tight but the mic was kinda broken and when I checked there website it didn't say anything about the show. A fight broke out, but shit happends. Sleep Dank was tight too. I was impressed by the performance got my ten dollars worth. When I checked the website it did not show future performances. The crowd was not very down to go dumb and participate, which would of made it more crackin. Sleep Dank kept saying "Yo everyone come to the dance floor and go dumb for Mac Dre" yet the crowd just ignored him. It had more potential could of marketed better in terms of drawing more people in. Saw a flyer on the ground at SRJC. C'mon fix your sound system. Minor hiccups which can be improved, because I would loveto see more rap shows in RP.
