Don't be a victim of fraud. customer service issues are common but financial fraud needs to reported Florida Attorney General's Office online or by calling 1-866-9-NO-SCAM. You may also report to the Federal Trade Commission. If you don't want to get upgrades make sure you write NO UPGRADES or extra protection in BOLD letters on contract. otherwise they will add all possible upgrades without your acknowledgment. In my life I never seen such shady business. I was in rush but I verbally told guy I don't need anything except gas but he deliberately charged me over $500, my original booking was for $70. My experience was horrible from start to finish. I waited at the airport for over 35 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. Once I got to ACE Rent A Car, there were only two associates working with a line of customers waiting.I was given a white Kia that appeared fine during the initial inspection, but immediately after driving away, a low tire pressure warning came on. I had to return right away. They put air in the tire and assured me everything was fine. After getting to my hotel and parking, I noticed the tire was flat again -- the PSI had dropped to 10, which is extremely unsafe. I tried contacting customer service and was left on hold for over 40 minutes multiple times before the call disconnected. I finally reached an associate named Katherine, who told me to go put air in the tire at a gas station and drive the vehicle back because their roadside driver was "in the hospital."At 10:30 PM, I had to drive 25 minutes back with a dangerous tire issue just to exchange the vehicle. During the replacement process, Katherine was rude, texting and taking selfies while helping me sign documents. No accommodations, discount, or real apology were offered. I had a very disappointing experience with ACE Rent A Car. The shuttle pickup wait at the airport was much longer than expected, which was frustrating after a long trip. When I finally received my rental, I was given a white Dodge Durango that had several mechanical issues and did not feel safe or properly maintained. What was most concerning was the response I received when I reported the problems. Instead of addressing the issues professionally, the employee dismissed my concerns and said, "So what? One person won't make a difference." That level of customer service is unacceptable. Customers should expect safe vehicles and to be treated with respect when they raise legitimate concerns. So my issue is not at all with customer service...in fact the guy helping me was very nice and helpful. My car had several scratches on it and I couldn't care less about that as it's not my car. My issue is I reserved this car online through my military site and the total was $190.49 (pic included) but my final costs were $312.81. The fees and everything else they charge cost an additional $122.32. Pre paid fuel. Platepass. Daily extension adjustment? Concession recovery? Bunch more on there but come on guys. I rented a car at this location at MCO. I think the agent who processed my rental agreement forged my initials and fraudulently added all possible upgrades which I didn't ask for. Their prices were cheapest that why I went through hassle of waiting 30 minutes for shuttle service or I could have book premium brand rental which can drive off right at the MCO airport for $ 500. Only upgrades I accepted were prepaid Gas and ACE unlimited toll. I had declined all other upgrades. I repeatedly told him I have geico and I don't need any extra coverage. I clearly told him I am renting a car only to go to the hotel and return to MCO. I did some research and found out this is a pattern they follow to trap clients because it's franchised place. They lure travelers with lower online rates but then they fraudulently add upgrades and hidden fees. I am stuck with $ 500 bill on my credit card while my original booking was for $ 70 read more

This appears to be the cheapest rental option but for a reason, it's offsite. Also, after returning the car they tack on a bunch of unremovable fees. Our original "quote" was for about $115 and we were ended up being charged $215 so $100 over. So rent at your own risk. They also have a shuttle that picks you up at the 1st floor. It's a bit confusing as there's no real clear instructions. Upon arrival from baggage claim you have to go down a floor to floor 1 then cross the street to a parking lot at A11-A13 or B11-B13 then the shuttle will pick you up there. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM ACE - TOTAL SCAM EXPERIENCE I would strongly warn anyone against renting from Ace. This was one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. First, it took nearly 2 hours just to get the car. The biggest issue is that they advertise as being at Orlando International Airport through Booking.com but they are NOT on-site. After landing, I spent time walking up and down the rental car hall looking for Ace, only to find out it's not even listed there. I called the number provided multiple times and was left on hold with no answer. After asking airport staff, I was told Ace is offsite. Despite my booking clearly stating "Orlando International Airport" (which I specifically filtered for to avoid this exact issue), I had to figure things out myself. I waited 45 minutes for the shuttle, it never came. I ended up paying $25 for an Uber just to get to the rental location. When I got there and explained what happened, the staff said they "hear that all the time." Then came the pricing shock. I had prepaid $164, but by the time I left, the total was almost $400. They told me my third-party insurance "wasn't adequate" and added more charges. They also forced a toll pass on me, claiming that without it, a small toll could turn into massive fees. The car itself? Basic, worn down, maintenance light on, and visibly damaged. Definitely not what you expect for the price. When I pushed back on the extra charges, I was basically told that if I didn't like it, I could go rent somewhere else & that they charge more because they're "not a large company" and have to get the money somewhere. Returning the car was just as frustrating. I was about to order another Uber back to the airport when the shuttle finally showed up. Overall, this experience was stressful, misleading, and way more expensive than advertised. I can't imagine dealing with this if I had kids or was on a tight schedule. After an overall horrible experience and tense conversation with both a receptionist and the location manager at the check-out desk, I decided to venture onto Yelp to leave a review in hopes to protect other unknowing renters from selecting this company. Seems like countless others have had the same or similar experience with ACE. When we picked up our car, we explicitly stated we did not want any additional coverage or other fees onto the rental, just the bare bones of what we paid for the car and fees from Expedia ($84). The attendant then told us that Florida law requires us to purchase a minimum coverage in order to rent a vehicle. Having rented cars in this state countless times and never having an issue with this, it sounded fishy. We also were never asked if we had personal insurance we would like to file for coverage on the car. ACE also never showed us a physical copy of the contract to read before we were asked to sign, just a digital screen with a line to initial. When they printed out the receipt, we saw that we were charged $266. It was late at night, so we decided to deal with it when we returned the car. After a 30 minute conversation with the manager on site and feeling deceived and taken advantage of, we were finally reimbursed the additional $180+ of fees. I didn't do much research about them and booked it. They are not at Maco but rather 10-15 minutes away from the airport so you will have to wait for their shuttle. When I arrived at the rental car service center, they told me my reservation total was $356 which included a $37/day insurance as I waived the tolls [~$13]. To my amazement they add a 30% tax....that is when I got pissed and refused the rental and walked away. I went to the airport and rented a car for approximately $240 for five days. Do not rent a car from this company if you want to avoid a nightmare. First of all, we waited about an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. Upon arrival, I was offered an upgrade to another vehicle at an 80% discount, which turned out to be a scam. The car was new, but it didn't look like it was in good condition. They put a $500 hold on my funds, which they still haven't returned. Even though they promised the 80% discount, they added extra charges without explaining what they were for, and the cost shot up to nearly $1,700, which is absurd, considering they had lied to me by claiming the discount would apply. The employees there are shady and commit fraud charges and then the management team does nothing about it. This company should be shut down for this. TL:DR - this place has 1 star reviews for a reason... The price was great but that was really the only positive. It took about 40 minutes for the shuttle to arrive to the airport. I had to call since so many people were waiting. I was told "Orlando traffic" was to blame, but the site is 1.4 miles from the airport and when we finally did get on the shuttle, there wasn't any traffic in sight. (PS the owner responded to my review directly to Ace stating there are multiple factors for delays. There is zero excuse for the shuttle to take 40 minutes. Every other shuttle for every other rental car agency showed up several times before ours even arrived. When I dropped the car off, one of the shuttle drivers was flirting with a girl in the office so perhaps check on your employees rather than gaslighting me). The lobby smelled STRONLY of cat urine (this wasn't addressed in my other review. The stench was FOUL), the agent was not at all friendly, and I don't appreciate being charged $45 as a courtesy for tolls when I could have easily paid the $2 toll myself. Charging me extra is absolutely NOT a courtesy. Why don't you put the toll meter in the rental car and bill it to the card on file like every other reputable agency I've ever rented through? This is clearly a cash grab to make up for their insanely low prices. The car had zero amenities in it. I didn't even know cars in the 2020s were made without these amenities and I'm shocked that this is what was offered - I wasn't able to use any kind of navigation through the vehicle which made driving in a new place a bit challenging. I get needing to have vehicles of varying models, but it seemed as though they only carry the most basic models. I wasn't offered any options to see which vehicle may have best suited my needs. I may have even paid for an upgrade, but that wasn't an option provided to me. We ended up dropping our car off a day early. Honestly, if you're looking for extreme budget, this is it. I did everything right and still got scammed . before getting on the shuttle that they provide for you to the MCO airport . I spoke to the representative and was told again to my face to not worry about the amount and that I will get my $200 back due to it being a deposit.
