So first off, everyone knows Texas weather is just dumb. So dumb. Frustratingly dumb. So of course, a recent hail storm decided to literally ruin my roof. Things were going too well for too long. I come home one day and there is like a bubble, in my kitchen ceiling that I want to poke so bad but I don't because I am an adult. The next day, it is gone so my thought was "whew that could have been bad" and I go to work. Fast forward to 13 hours later when I walk inside my house and my ceiling is no longer where my ceiling should be. Ok. This is fine. I found my cat, swept up an excessive amount of insulation, and called my claims adjuster to let him know. Fast forward, it is January 7th. I do the quote option on Yelp because this is the first time I have ever had any major work done on my house and the people my insurance appraiser referred had terrible reviews. I am contacted almost before I hit submit and Adam is out within days to look at my roof and ceiling. Honestly, it was creepily fast. He worked with my schedule and was there when he said he would be. He got out a ladder and climbed up on my roof and even put a tarp up so it wouldn't continue to rain inside my condo. I could hear him walking around and while I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the inspection, I was also super anxious he would fall through and die and I would never be able to sell my condo ever in the future. Luckily, he made it down in one piece, explained everything and even took the insurance appraisers estimate so he could review what they thought and work directly with them. The roof install? Never even saw it happen. I just came home and had a brand new roof. Adam kept in touch through each step of the process and I never felt like I was being talked down to. I can't say enough good things about Ace roofing, Maston and his whole team. Austin had a terrible hail storm recently and our roof got pelted. Maston was out and on the roof the very next day for an inspection. He said our roof met the criteria to be submitted to our insurance, got the name of our insurance company and set up a time for them to all meet at our house and evaluate. Being our first time replacing a roof, we had no idea what to do or expect. Maston was there and walked us through the whole experience answering any and all questions we had. Once we got approval from insurance, Maston provided us with shingle samples and basically all we had to do was choose our favorite and send the info back to him. When the day came to replace the roof, the entire team worked quickly and efficiently. They were very thorough and even worked in the pouring rain making sure to get everything done. My main concern was nails or scraps being left in the yard that my dogs might step on. Ace roofing was awesome. I did wait for about 10 days for them to come check my roof. We had a tree trimmer drop branches on our roof while pruning. Would not recommend that tree company for several reasons- Just Trees. Anyway I had roofers come investigate and I had them look at the whole roof as it had been 10 years or so since it had been inspected. Bill was awesome and did a thorough inspection. He found no damage. He reported on the condition and found an issue with some vents that he corrected on the spot. It required replacing nails and screwing flashing down. Other roofers would have scheduled this repair and charged me for it. It was nice having it taken care of immediately. We had a tree branch land on our roof during the storm and made a hole through the shingles and sheathing. With ongoing rain, we needed this repaired ASAP to avoid leaking. A recent hail storm in Cedar Park did a lot of damage to our roof. I called a few of the top recommendations from my Yelp search and Ace really stood out from the pack. The other companies that came out for my estimate did an okay job on their estimates. They got up on my roof, took some pictures, and they all agreed that there was significant damage. But, when ACE came out, Cole got up on my roof, looked at the tiles, looked at the vents, looked at my gutters, looked at my fence around the house, patched a hole that was exposed, etc.. He even ran a drone over the house for better pictures. His detailed estimate was head-and-shoulders better than any of the other vendors. But what really set him apart was his honesty, integrity, and dedication to doing the right job. There was no bs about him. He was sincere and focused on perfection. When the insurance adjuster came out, Cole came back and met with him and reviewed every issue on the insurance estimate. We scheduled Cole's crew to come out a few days later and during that process, Cole stayed in touch and made sure that we knew the full process to get ready for the installation of the new roof. When the crew came out, they were great. They took extra care to not damage any of the plants and things around the house, they installed the new roof in one day, they did an outstanding job cleaning up, etc.. Ace has done repair work at my house before, and did great -- good quality, good price. But the last two times they've come out, they've tried to *dramatically* upsell me. I let the last one go as maybe a fluke; two times and I share it. I had some slipped tiles and asked for a bid to fix them. Maybe some extra small work if the roof needed it. What was suggested to me was that I have all the tiles removed from the roof, the mastic completely redone, and the tiles replaced. You Have To Be Kidding Me. I explained I only wanted to handle more basic repairs for now (the economy is in a tailspin)... and he never got back with any kind of bid for any kind of work, big or small. I'm not pleased. I had a leak and called Bill Sprauer. Bill showed up that morning and went into my attic and found the leak source, he then proceeded to get on the roof. He found that I had a missing water heater cap, hail damage and poor craftsmanship from the builder. I had no idea what to do next but have him give me a estimate for a new roof. Bill said wait, let's slow this down. He explained that I was eligible for a replacement through my insurance company. So I called!!! Sure enuf the adjuster showed up and told me the same thing. The first company I had come out could only fix one of the problems, quoted a high price, and couldn't complete the fix until a week later. Although communication was rocky in the beginning with the owner, once we were in contact with Amous all was well. I hired them to replace the roof with a new 35year duration shingled roof at our property in Cedar Park. Amous came out priced the job, we agreed to a deal and despite the weather setbacks they got it completed in a good timeframe. In the end, after we agreed to a price they stated that the system that they use to measure out the roofs did not catch the smaller end of my garage so the cost would rise because of it. I was a little frustrated at first because I had Amous come to my house to measure and inspect everything so I'm not sure how it could have been missed as it's a part of the front elevation of my house. But, being a business owner myself (stucco contractor) I understand the impact that could have on parts and labor so the business owner in me only felt right paying for the "added" work. Overall, I'm very happy with the new roof, happy with the communication that I had with Amous once we finally connected and he already knows that he'll be the one replacing the roof when time comes on our multi family property in Austin. The winds last night blew the cap off the stove vent on my metal roof so of course I needed someone to just put it back on. I called 3 roofing companies, each saying they don't do that. I reached out to Ace Roofing on Yelp for a quote to replace my roof to prepare for a solar installation as the roof was showing signs of aging. Bill reached out to me and guided me through the entire process. One thing that stood out between Ace Roofing and the other companies was their track record and years in business (10 yrs vs. approximately 2 yrs for their competition). In addition, the other companies noted that the roof did not have enough hail damage to have the insurance pay for it and recommended not filing a claim. Bill convinced me to file a claim as it wouldn't affect my insurance rates (which I verified with my insurance broker, but I haven't hit renewal yet to absolutely confirm). I'm glad I did, because the insurance ended up finding significant hail damage and ended up paying for the roof. Bill showed up to the insurance review, no questions asked and on extremely short notice, and helped point all the hail damage to the insurance adjuster. They were able to schedule the work very quickly (insurance adjuster came on Tuesday and they finished by Friday), and everyone on their crew was respectful and did a fantastic job. We had some roofing work needed at a home we recently purchased. I contacted Ace to get an estimate for the repairs. I took a day off of work to meet with someone from the company so he could inspect the roof and provide an estimate. And that's where things started to go awry. The representative showed up without a ladder. He said even if he had one that he was getting too old to be climbing around on the roof. His plan was to bring another guy out in a few days to climb up on the roof and inspect. I did my best to point at the work as best as I could from the ground. However, this is the last we ever hear from them. I'm fairly certain they never came out and even if they did they didn't bother to follow-up. I took a day off of work only to have my time wasted. Amous was referred by a neighbor/friend whose roof was replaced by Ace/Amous from an insurance claim (hail). Amous looked at our roof and said he saw damage so we submitted a claim. It was rejected, Amous said he would send his guy out to check the roof (Amous did not inspect the roof himself except from the ground) and escalate/contest the adjuster's findings with proof. That was the last I heard from Amous. Texts, email and calls when unreturned. Basically, if not able to submit and insurance claim digitally (like my neighbor), without a physcical inspection by the insurance company, its either not a valid insurance claim or too much work. Either way, ghosting communications is unprofessional. Seems like an ambulance chaser but for roof insurance claims if can be slid through easily. read more

It was an easy choice. The crew was prompt, courteous, and impeccably clean. These things were especially important to me as I was having this work done on my elderly parents' roof.
