Repiping 1691 sq feet one story house quote me over $10000 for repipe and fix the dry wall but no paint.,it was way too pricey so they said without the dry wall will be $6400 ,maybe they will do better job so I still use this company ,they did finish the job in 5 hours as promised, few problems need to come back and fixed it .I hired another dry wall company to fix the dry wall and they told me they can't fix the bath tub because they are not supposed to cut open the tub like that ,also the wall next to tub was damaged. read more

However, Ace Solves it All will now randomly throw in a $239 "emergency service" fee even though their website specifically says no fee between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. The lady on the phone even said it's normally not like this, but just for today because they are "busy". Seems so convenient and sketchy to throw in a fee like that when you know someone needs service but not have anything mentioned on the website about such a fee. There should be some type of disclaimer under that "No Fee" statement. I think I'll go with Frank Gay. They are able to get to me today within a couple hours in fact, with no crazy high "emergency" fee... Good job Ace, you just lost a customer! read more

Read my reason for this rating, very important!! I called them for Electrical work, plumbing and AC installation because I saw their good rating. They came all on time and very courteous. They were supposed to give me their estimate right there but they asked me to give them a day to send me their estimate. Two days past and I didn't hear from them. I called them and asked what happened, the answering lady told me that someone will contact me soon but no one did so far!! I realized that their good rating is because right after they leave, they send you the review and you'll give them a 5 stars because they were on time and courteous, then after that you have to run after them which I will not because I have few more estimates from other companies already. Ace solves NOTHING at all... there i fixed it for you. Im a woman that lives alone and doesn't know much about leaks, plumbing, etc. They took full advantage of me for a total of $2900. I think it's disgusting to treat anyone this way and all 3 techs I saw from Ace were all the same. I called in 11/2019 because I had a leak in my bathroom. The problem didn't present itself, nor did they do a full inspection. Instead I was told the water heater was my issue. I was told it was bc my shower curtains didn't come together. I told the gentleman that it was too much water and he stated "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you." Not thinking at the moment I was like maybe he's right, I don't know. Bought a $2000 water heater, 2 months later the bathroom was leaking again. Called them back, one guy states "the house is clogged" with absolutely no research of the problem but we have to jet the house through the roof. Third guy comes the next day, we can't jet through the roof. So I told him what the 2nd guy said....oh yeah we can jet through the roof. An additional $900. Apparently they did the jetting although after Roto Rotter came they said the jetting hadn't been done. Called back in February, leaking again, came out to the house finally looked around more and stated part of the sewer line needed to be replaced for $5000-$8000. I said you can go now. Not to mention my floors were not damaged in November but they are now. Called the service manager John a couple times with no return phone call but when my cousin called, a man, he called him back. Called Roto Rooter the same day they came with a camera, snaked the toilet and replaced the pipe for a total of $3,100. Ace would have in total charged me $8,000 - $11,000 total. Over the weekend, I had a family gathering for father's Day, and the topic of the Family Value plan came up. Including myself, 8 of us utilize this plan and services of Ace in the Kissimmee and Orlando areas. The benefits of the plan, I love. Helping prevent a lot of major issues from occurring down the road. This is genius and pays for itself and is extremely useful for my elderly family members. The issue that drove this negative review is your customer service with the family plan team. This surprised me but didn't really surprise me. You have a representative with the Ace Family team named Samantha. I have spoken to her a few times, along with my aunt, uncles, friends, and a few neighbors. NO ONE had anything worth pleasing to say about this individual. Being that we are a part of a Family VIP program, it really doesn't feel that way. No warm welcome feeling. Yes, we all received a package in the mail, but that's it. No phone call, no check-in. When speaking with Samantha, she never takes accountability. Never fails to tell you, she is not a technician or it is not her department. She spoke to my aunt and uncle as if they were incompetent. I have yet to have a a courtesy or empathic experience her. I called and mentioned I had AC issues, and instead of saying sorry to hear that. Nope, you have the wrong department, and customer service can schedule that. When facing any issues, this is the person in charge of assisting me? Nothing about Samantha is professional. She got into it with my uncle and my neighbor over updating his payment. My neighbor actually drove to the office back in March because of her attitude on the phone. How do you have someone of this caliber managing VIPs? I have had to call in for maintenance. She's not calling us or following up in 6 months. Everytime you speak with her, she's combative and argumentative. Samantha speaks over you and then had awkward moments of silence. Am I speaking to a human at this point. Ace is a great company, and myself, family, and friends have spent a lot of money with the company and plan to continue, but I refuse to work with people like this Samantha person. If I am paying for a service, I should receive the utmost support and respect. Treat me like family, and not like someone that is bothering you. Lead with integrity, honor, and respect. Used this company to rewire our house, and install an 30amp RV outlet and 220 to the spa. Did a great job and was reasonable. Called them back for an estimate ($75.00 "fee") to install a 110 outlet 10 feet to the garage door to plug in our hybrid vehicle charger. Quoted with parts and labor $2150.00 + tax. For crying out loud, it was to add an outlet 10 feet, some romex, contractor-quality outlet and box with conduit. No thanks! $75.00 down the drain.! read more

Please be very careful when you call this company for services. Routine diagnosis quickly became advanced diagnosis, with the charge almost doubled. Their hourly rates, which they did not want to disclose but could be easily computed, are outrageous. Do not sign any papers they give you. Tell them to finish the diagnosis, give you the written estimate for the repair, and you will pay them. If they do not agree, they can leave and lose their time coming out to your place. read more

Jeff came out and fixed the problem in 45 minutes and was a true professional. Kind, courteous, effective. I'd give him 5 stars, personally. That being said, VERY expensive. After hours fee is $279.00, just to come out (not fixing anything). For reference, it cost $570 (total) to replace the core to a shower faucet at 11pm (I provided the faucet core). Called them out because we loss pressure in our water coming inside. They where here for quit some time. They were nice enough, but all they really did was send 4 different estimates to totally re plumb the house. with the cost of $16,500.98 my Dad is 82 it cost $150.00 that day. I'm not sure what they did (unfortunately I wasn't home at the time) we did have somewhat better pressure but sand was coming through the faucets. One week later we had same problem I walked out back by the pump and it was like a lake. I called another company Centflo plumbing they came right out and fixed the problem for $175.00. A cracked pipe only about 1 foot under ground. The plumber said he wasn't sure what they did but they definitely didn't even check this he said the dirt had turned white so it started long ago and any trained person would have seen that. We don't need the house re plumbed. They only want to charge for a big project when it is a easy fix. Sorry don't trust them!! read more

I wish I looked at yelp before I went with Ace! I had 5 smoke alarms installed. They charged me over $1000! I looked at the price of the smoke alarm online, and the most expensive one of $60! So basically they charged me over $200 per alarm. I will never recommend them, they are thieves! They justified the price because they said anyone can just change a smoke detector, we send the "best" electrician and all their electricians are licensed and certified. Also they justify it because of the warranty. Listen I don't care if you send me the best, this is bad business practice. Yeah it's true, anyone can change smoke detectors, I would have done it myself if I didn't have a physical disability. So absolutely anyone can do it, that still does not justify the price of a $30 smoke detector to $200 just because you send the best electricians who know what they are doing! They came within 24 hours to snake our kitchen drain. Performed their task efficiently and courteously. Bill was a bit steep at about $400. After they left we discovered that 3 of our ceramic kitchen tiles had suddenly developed scratches in the area where they had positioned their heavy equipment. They had failed to protect our floor with cushioning material. We immediately notified the company via email of the damage. It's been a week and we're still waiting for a reply. I originally thought this team did a good job installing my new AC unit and new duct work, but they've failed final inspection twice, and I'm forced to be harassing them on a daily basis trying to get someone, anyone to call me back with information. They will not put you in as a priority for scheduling even if they've made a mistake, which my first failed inspection had multiple, multiple issues. The second failed inspection still had 2 issues wrong. They do not care that they put you through stress to get the job completed. We had a leak under the slab of our home. We could not find it. We called "Ace solves it All". The rep came in with a pre-printed estimate. He listened to the walls and said that they would do a leak detection for $6,862.75 for repair or $10,013.73 to replace some piping. Answering my questions, he stated that it would probably take all day, they would have to cut a hole in the floor 3 ft by 3 ft, chop through 12 inches of concrete and then repair the line. They would do no patching of wall or floor damage and would to nothing else. He said there was no guarantee that they would find the leak, but if not they didn't he would not charge for cutting the hole in my floor. I called another company. Very professional man came and within the hour had found the leak to within 3 inches horizontally. He cut through the floor a 12 inch square, 6 inches of concrete, and clamped it until the plumber could finish TOTAL $450. (2 Hours) Plumber finished repair, replaced everything, cleaned up for $395. (1.5 Hours) "Ace Solves it All" is a scam. They prey on unsuspecting customers and use scare tactics to overprice the work. They push financing and fear of future problems. Let me preface this by saying we have had Ace add and replace breakers to the breaker box, add outdoor security lighting and add outdoor power outlets before and had nothing but excellent quality service. Prices may have been a little high, but I am willing to pay for good service and quality work. Sounds like a lot of the problems people have had are with plumbing work being done, so maybe the plumbing side of the house is not as good as the electrical. On to my tale. We had a nasty electrical fire break out in our main electrical box Friday the 30th of June, late in the day. Thanks to a good neighbor who saw the smoke and my wife's super fast action, the fire was quickly put out with our handy extinguisher. Duke energy showed up within an hour and cut the power line between the house and the pole. They were then able to restore power to our neighbors. We called Ace Solves It All that evening since we had them do electrical work for us before and they are listed as having 24 hour emergency service. By that time it was too late in the evening for them to come out and do anything. However, they called and Matt showed up bright and earlier around 7:30 on Saturday morning. He was able to make a run and get all the necessary parts. Matt was then able to completely rebuild the box, meter, the receiver stack and surge protector. He was able to finish up just before the afternoon rains set in. Matt did a great job and used top quality parts to give a us a brand new main electrical box. Now for the fun part, getting the county to inspect and permit. Long story, made slightly shorter. Through my persistence and the help of a friend were able to get the county to come and inspect it on Monday even though the next day was the 4th of July and a lot of folks had taken long weekends. Another huge plus for Ace was their permitting guy who made a special trip to our house to finish the permitting paperwork and then hand delivered to the county to be filed that day. So, now, with the inspection and permitting done it was a matter of getting Duke energy to come back and reconnect the power line. This proved more difficult than you might think. But after multiple phone calls a truck came out on the 4th of July and gave us back our electricity. The house powered up and everything has worked great ever since. We are super big fans of Ace and will continue to use them for all our home service needs. The Excellent - Matt for a great job rebuilding everything, Dwight for coming out and getting the permitting taken care of, Orange County for coming out and doing the inspection in a timely manner. The good - Duke energy electrical crew who took care of a dangerous situation quickly and the very good crew who came to restore our power. The cost for Ace Solves It All was a little on the high side but their service quality easily made up for it. The bad - Duke energy corporate offices and outage reporting. These people have some of the worst customer service EVER. It was like trying to push a loaded semi truck up a hill to get them to put in the order to restore our power. Lessons learned - Make sure and maintain your generator. I have a good one that is 13 years old and going strong that saved our bacon, literally. We were able to run our refrigerator, lights, fans and even a small portable room A/C unit that kept us from being roasted alive in the sweltering summer heat for four days. Also, make sure and have fire extinguishers handy. I immediately replaced mine and added a small one to the garage. read more

PLEASE think twice before using this company! I have been fighting over a $2033.14 bill for the past 6 months. Their Customer Service sucks if there is a problem. If they can stick it to you they love you to death. If you complain, they ignore you. Constantly one problem after another once you let them walk through the door. Very disappointed we have the VIP membership which is $25.00 per month which includes 2 a/c tune ups per year. The past one we had done was a few months ago they said they' replaced the air filter and the a/c unit was great the house is only 1 year and 3 months old. We had a plumbing problem and they charged $1,100 for after hours emergency service. They suggested a water treatment system which would have been over $5,000. We just had them out to clean out the dryer vent it's goes out through the attic. The tech also checked the ac and said that there was no filter in the unit and said it was dirty. Also suggested to have the air handler to be clean for $1,800. Also said it would be $255 to clean the dryer vent on the roof. It seems that every time they come out they suggests more things to be done. We will be canceling our VIP membership. read more

We never even got to the technician. Booked an apt for the Afternoon, they texted the night before and I confirmed from my watch while working. My bad, I didn't read it. I worked until 2am, technician said they were on their way at 7am and knocked at 930, luckily not waking me. I texted to ask what happened to my afternoon apt. The scheduler Amanda called me to tell me all the ways in which I was informed it was the first apt of the day. I said I was told it was an after noon apt. She then told me their calls are recorded and I was told it was a preferred time, I was not told. I've never booked an apt time starting at 7am in my life. Scheduled windows mean nothing to them I had an "appointment" for 5-6 and got calls at 9:30 and 12:30 saying the technician was on his way and when I reminded them that I was at work, they said okay. Then I get a call at 6:30 saying that they weren't gonna make it. And that they put my name on for tomorrow I called a little later and found out I had not been put on the schedule tomorrow. Eventually I get a call from someone saying they had been on vacation and they said that the technicians were supposed to call every two hours, then listed the 7 times they called me none of which were 2 hours apart. And when I pointed out this error to him his response was "I'm going to cancel your appointment tomorrow, we are not the technicians for you" read more

My appointment was changed twice in one day then cancelled for the next morning. That was changed after I was told someone would be here within an hour. When the technician finally did come in the afternoon almost an hour after the time they gave me he wanted to charge me the $69 fee for the visit and the cost of replacing one GFI outlet of $193. plus tax of course which would have made it almost $300 for one GFI outlet. That seems a bit excessive to me based on all my dealings with Electricians in New Jersey. The other note is that their office is about 1 mile from my home. I had a simple leak on a pvc joint underground at an elbow joint. I will admit I am partly to blame for paying over $700 for a $5 dollar part and about an hours worth of labor, but I was between a rock and hard place with it being the weekend. I should have said no thanks, paid him the $65 service call fee and tried to call someone else. I asked him how much they charge to do a simple snake clean out on roots, and he said $400. At that point I knew I had made a grave error but it was too late, the work had been done. If I wasn't selling the house and had a buyer coming the next day I probably would have passed but being under pressure I failed. I hate to give anyone a one star rating but I am telling all consumers that this company is gouging people. In my estimation, this repair should have cost about $300 tops. I requested electrical assessment to a inoperable GFCI OUTLET at my house, and after given an appointment, the technician didn't show.

Unless you have money to burn call any other electrical company. This company really takes advantage of your situation. We called ACE Solves It All to get a service man to replace an outlet. When he arrived and checked it out, he said it was a breaker. He had us sign a quote for $329.17 before he would proceed. The entire replacement took him less than 20 minutes. I checked on line later and the breaker was worth $39.00 After that he sat around and talked for an hour before we could get him to leave. I feel that being senior citizens we were taken advantage of. I have found that we were greatly overcharged and want to lodge a complaint to try to protect others and give them a 'Heads up' in dealing with unscrupulous service people. My AC stopped working an hr before my daughter's bridle shower. No one responded to my calls so I got on the internet and found ACE, They were at the house within an hr and a half from the call. The tech (Cory) was awesome, he explained every step that he was taking. Soon we had our unit back and he saved the day. His level of professionalism sold me on the company. Crooks!! We have spent so much money with Ace on our A/C unit and our tankless water heater among many other services. The water is two years old and leaking all over the garage. Ace can't come out for an entire day without several calls to express the urgency. Water heater needs a part, the tech says he orders it to ship to our house. 3 1/2 weeks later the part never shows, no call from Ace, and now the water heater is completely broken. Call Ace and they suggest sending after hours tech for a cost to ME of $279. My other option is to wait and have them come this morning. I am told a tech will arrive between 8-9. Tech is a no call now show and Ace has no explanation. This company doesn't believe in customer service. They do believe in overcharging for services and then not taking responsibility when the overpriced garbage they sell you breaks. read more

I guess Ace does solve it all. This company heard my cries for help and went above and beyond. They actually talked the manufacturer into sending me a whole new 80 gallon water heater and installed it correctly, with a warranty on the installation through them and then removed my old one. IN THE MEANTIME, they "loaned" me a smaller water heater (installed it, removed it, everything) to hold me over til my new one got there. They did that on their own dime, and I appreciate that. I called and asked about replacing an outdoor spigot. I was told they could not give me a price over the phone (fair enough), and it would be a $59.00 charge to show up. How expensive can it be? The answer is very. The front side of this business is very professional, but the back side is highway robbery. After coming out, the service tech told me "He just works for the company and these are not his prices, they are generated right in his software automatically"...... I should have known something bad was coming and I can't say anything more than, I was speachless. He puts Spigot in his tablet and it auto generates a price (which could have been estimated on the phone). It was $500!!! That is a $10 part...$50 at most if you want the fanciest one you can buy. He said it would take him 15 minutes. Even if they mark up the product 100% and use the most expensive one you can buy, that is $1600 per hour for labor at $400 per 15 minutes!! The technician was great. He was friendly and answered all of my questions and I have no issue with him. But $500 for a $10-$50 part change that takes 15 minutes is ridiculous. My A/C at home is not cool enough, so I searched on google to see who has the top rating. They popped up as 4.5 stars. We had those gays come to my house and there is nothing wrong with my current AC, they told me I just need a bigger size one, and they recommend us to get a air purifier because I can get it for $2000 with the AC purchase. We all agree that $5500 to get a 2 ton new AC plus the air purifier they recommended. The next day they showed up and installed the AC, and told me the air purifier is not included. I checked my invoice, the air purifier is not on it. I realize that the guy removed the air purifier from the quote on his IPad before I signed my electric name. The same AC only cost $2000 in Costco, and you can get 10% cash back. I keep calling the company to ask a explanation, but the representatives could not do anything but leave message to the manager. They told me they will call me back in 24 hours. No one can did. I called them again and again for a week. Finally they said that I already signed the document to authorize them to charge me this amount of money and install whatever on the quote. There is nothing they can do about it.
