Normally I take my kids to their regular dentist off East New York Ave, but I discovered that there is a new dental office only a 8 min walk from me - Aces Braces. I made a reservations for my family and I around 4pm on Thursday. We only needed cleaning services for a family of 3. When we arrived the receptionist asked if we had an appointment and politely gave us three new applications. I had a moment to scope the reception area and they seem to offer juice bar healthy options. I also noticed they have images of Tupac, Biggie, and Nas pictures on the wall. They play a video with the main dentist showing how braces are installed. The wait was not as long as I thought it would be. We were called only 15 mins from checking in. My kids and I were x-rayed swiftly and had our cleaning 10 mins later. It took us 1 hr to do everything. Due to Covid-19 we no longer receive a goody bags with toothbrushes and floss, but we were sent off with a polite goodnight. I will return for their next teeth cleaning. read more

Bobbi Peterson is a disgrace to the professional world of orthodontics. Truly, the worst experience I've EVER had with a medical professional. If I could give her -5 stars I would. She's unskilled, condescending and a 'fast talker' when she doesn't know how to answer a question. I came in with a few problems and left with multiple others that her and her untrained staff created. I had spaces, an overjet, a missing tooth that needed more space to prepare for an implant and an off center midline. 18 months later, I left with COMPLETELY misaligned front teeth, an obvious overbite, ***NOT ENOUGH SPACE FOR MY IMPLANT**** according to 3 other dental professionals and a shifted midline. So yes, if you're wondering, I have a missing tooth and can't get a tooth placed until I go through another 1-2 years ortho treatment... I paid nearly $5,000 (in advance) for a treatment that would serve me no purpose. I have to re-do treatment to fix the problems that she could not fix AND created. "Aces Braces doesn't provide refunds for services rendered" therefore I'm unable to use the funds I spent with her deplorable office at another orthodontist office who can fix my smile and give me satisfactory patient service. If you see other reviews saying she is a scammer, they are correct. She makes false promises and couldn't care less if you are happy with your results. She takes your money and provides no written treatment plan to explain what will happen for you. You come in to every appointment blindly and let her assistants play doctor on your mouth while she is rarely present in the office OR probably being a 'celebrity orthodontist'. Which I can is see is mostly about posting half naked pictures on Instagram and giving C list celebs teeth jewelry and botox. Amateur. If you feel you were wronged by Bobbi Peterson and/or didn't receive an accepted standard of dental practice, please report her to NYS Department Of Health, Office Of Professional Medical Conduct. Hopefully, one day she won't be able to practice in the community anymore and scam people out of their hard earned money. OTHER CONS (because there are no pros): - the front desk secretary has ZERO manners and has literally never smiled at anyone once - they constantly would mess up my billing and tell me I owed $$ when I had really paid every dime before I even started treatment -the assistants barely know what's happening half the time and always seemed confused Pictures below: You can see my two front teeth are on different levels and another tooth is hanging lower than the two front ones. As much as I refer This place to people because of its potential and the orthodontist herself dr. Bobbi is a complete sweet heart and makes you feel heard and understood and works with you minus her condescending attitude I once encountered. However I'm disgusted with how her daughter handles miscommunication and misunderstanding...she doesn't even let you finish saying what you have to say without cutting you off and continue talking over you as if you're not even speaking at all. I bring many people to this office but really besides the people in the back of the office dental assistants .. the front desk and Barbie is 1 star ! No apology given... it's jus oh well it's obvious that this and obvious that ..... absolutely disgusting of her & I would Never recommend another da*n soul to go in this place. UNBELIEVABLE! I waited at the office for 2.5 hrs for my appointment and was never called. Meanwhile, the staff are in the back laughing and joking around. I arrived for my appointment on time but FOUR people who arrived after me were seen before me. Very disappointed. Very unacceptable. read more

Everytime I go here starting from when I first entered in October everyone was very polite to me and professional. The staff all informed me of what I needed to do as I progressed with straightening my teeth. They also explained and answered any questions I had and am delighted with the performance. read more

DONT DO IT! This is some of the worst customer, patient service I've ever experienced in my life. NO ONE in the office seems to know what they are doing. Even when you get to the back to be seen everyone is like scattered roaches. The Orthordontist seemed very uninterested was very vague with what tge plan of treatment would be. And the billing/ insurance department is absolutely ridiculous as well as unhonest. There is no follow-up on claims whatsoever. And good luck getting someone on the phone during working hours. This was an unbelieveable expirence for me and this is only after 1 visit followed by the facetious attitude of the lady in the billing department. When I first visited Aces Braces, I filled out the preliminary paperwork required to begin the process and luckily my insurance approved it. I did not have any complain of the doctor or the office and I was able to make my appointments every month. However, after three years wearing my braces my teeth were not straight. I went to my dental appointment every single month. In August 2017, I had to go abroad so I explained this to Dr. Peterson to which she said that I was ready to have my braces removed. I was not sure of that because my front teeth are still twisted. She decided to take them off anyways but I expressed my unhappiness to which she only said that I have to go to another doctor. Adding to that, the last time I went, one of her assistant lied to me saying that she wasn't in the office when in fact she was and another assistant who knew I was unhappy with the result spoke to her. Dr. Bobbi Peterson and the staff at Aces Braces is nothing short of amazing. I first started working with Dr. Bobbi when she was splitting her time between her Manhattan office and the one in Brooklyn. I preferred the Manhattan location because I live in Upper Manhattan but had no problem moving my visits to Brooklyn when she shut down the operation in Manhattan. Even though the Brooklyn office is an 1.5 hour commute in one direction from where live it is well worth the commute for the type of care I receive. Dr. Bobbi is very knowledgeable, confident in her work, and has a "get it done" mindset approach to each client, as I have observed her interaction with multiple clients. I definitely have no hesitation to refer her to anyone looking to brighten that smile, whiten that smile, fix that smile, or get a new smile. She does not disappoint. My dental lifesavers! I have been a client of Dr. Peterson since November 2015. When I first visited Aces Braces, I filled out the preliminary paperwork required to begin the process but had no idea my insurance would not cover my braces (darn you 1199 policies!). However, after the mix-up was resolved, Dr. Peterson examined my pearly whites and assessed that I would need braces for about two years to correct my unaligned front and bottom teeth including my open gap. 8 1/2 months later, my teeth are looking straighter than an Army formation (still have some time to correct my gap and the overall alignment of my top and bottom rows of teeth). Dr. Peterson is pleasant, patient, and a perfect professional who works to serve her clients. Take selfies with her as she runs giveaways every month. Also, I am an R&B lover and sometimes you can hear some calming music to relax you during your appointment. I love her and her kind staff and you will too! read more
