Total rip-off. I lost $600! The free trial sign on the door was BS. I got a "free class" that was a history lesson and a few how-to's and then a very aggressive sales session. I attended only 1 class, did not like it at all, got the run around from staff about my uniform and why I didn't get a free trial. They can't accept that not everyone is going to love their classes, but they didn't give me a chance to try one first without paying! Heck, they still advertise a free 30-day trial online (I took screenshots) and their "3 free months" offer isn't at all what it seems but they gloss over that during the sales pitch. Obsessed with $$$ and growing their company. That's all they brag about...fastest growing. At what cost? They don't care that I lost $600 at all. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm not the first one, apparently. I hope they change their unethical business practices.

Here is the owners response to me on Google. I can't see my post, so clearly he's reported it to try to have it removed.

I am going to respost in YELP because the owner is hiding his negative reviews on Google. I requested information LAST school year when my son was dealing with a bully. After I requested information my sons bully actually moved. They (Aces Jiu Jitsu - Ty) call, leave a voicemail, wait a few days and call again. My phone stays on silent. Look, I'm getting your voicemails. If I have interest in signing my child up, I'll call back. Just since November they have called 7 times. It's a bit excessive and if I consider a jitizu now I'm certainly not going to choose the place who is coming off salesy. See attached photo for owners response. Update: See the owners response below. He clearly ignored the fact that I said I requested information LAST school year. That school year ended in May 2021. I have talked to Ty, I have told him we were no longer were looking. We are still on a call list, as I'm sure other people are too, STILL getting calls. 7 calls since November alone IS excessive, period. I didn't even go through my call log from last school year until now. Since the owner wants to address the salesy comment, please do yourself a favor and look at their YELP reviews. I'm not the only one who feels this way clearly.

Mats sectioned off for social distancing, you can also train online.

Now I can leave work on my schedule and workout at times that fit my schedule. Small group atmosphere is great, other program style workouts you get into larger classes and the instructors are just a voice on the mic. 9Round the moves are easy, quick to teach and the team is there for personal corrections and motivation. But my main favorite about 9Round is the intensity of the workout. I am able to warmup much quicker than expected and based on the heart rate zones will spend almost the entire time in the green zone or higher. In a 33 minute workout, I will usually spend 15 minutes or more above 84% heart rate. On those days when you just don't feel like working out (luckily I have a workout buddy) punching the bags is a great release for the frustration. It is pretty much a guarantee that I will leave dripping sweat and in a better mood than when I walked in.

Vanessa and Rebecca are amazing and truly passionate about their business and customers care and personalization. We get a very personal and personalized workout each time. The best part about 9 Round in general is no set class times and and an excellent workout in just 30 minutes - for all fitness levels and ages, combining that with an awesome location (for us) and the greatly helpful and accommodating duo of Vanessa and Rebecca - this has been our best bet. Both of us are feeling healthier and lighter. Kickboxing also helps relieve stresses in a good way while getting a great workout. Love the vibes and motivation of this place.

I've always loved training in martial arts because it's a great way to get in an excellent workout all while focusing on continuous self-improvement, but I never imagined how much I would enjoy the community-focused gym environment at Fighting Fit. The coaches and fellow students are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet, and there's something for everyone. For those wanting to meet their fitness goals and live healthier lives, the Fitness Kickboxing and Boot Camp classes are a fantastic workout, and the gym has a really active private Facebook group and frequently holds team challenges and other fun activities to keep you engaged and feeling like a part of the community. Coach Forrest and Coach Sarah even offer nutrition coaching to fully round out their holistic approach to helping members meet their health and fitness goals. Those interested in advancing their martial arts skills should also feel right at home. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy the Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. I highly recommend checking them out no matter your previous experience -- the coaches and other students will work with you at your skill level, and you may even decide to start training for competition like some of our members. Learning from Coach Corey has been the highlight of my year, and I've genuinely loved going to class to learn and practice techniques with my fellow classmates (as well as to spar with the more advanced students). While I'm moving out of state and unfortunately can't pack up the gym and all its members in a box to take with me when I go, I will never forget my Fighting Fit family! I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a new one to call their own.

I must say I am very excited about joining this well thought out and scientific based commitment to bring me personally back to my goals of desired weight, speed, functionality of my younger years. This not a hype program where one ends up in traction after 2 weeks. It is designed to start you on a path that is comparable to your commitment. I would suggest that everyone with a weight loss and workout dream, that has been shot down by life's twist and turns, get on Sifu Forrest's next call. You will be impressed by this functional and life changing plan to get literally moving from the darkness wanting, back to the light of having. https://www.austinimpactjkd.com/ https://www.facebook.com/AustinImpactJKD

This gym is tucked away in a small plaza but it is quite homey. There are a few punching bags available. The class setup is typically a warm-up, shadow boxing, partner work, and then bagwork followed by stretching/cool down. They started added a conditioning class twice a week as well which focuses more on strength training over technique. Fernando is one of the owners and he's very kind. He's very positive, encouraging and is patient when helping you or others with technique. This must be contagious because I find my classmates equally encouraging and helpful. I find the price to be pretty reasonable too. I used to go every day and have definitely seen positive changes with my body. Now, I try to go maybe 2-3 times a week to cross training with pole :) If youre looking for a great cardio workout, this is the place to go!
