Email stated someone would be in contact with me in one business day to 25 hours. 2 days later no reply. I called the 3rd day and asked about my appointment I put in for an they had no answer as to why no one contacted me. No big deal I get it. My problem is with the next part of this story. I set an appointment over the phone, show up for appointment. They had the tires I requested in stock at a fair price. I asked for an alignment since I always get an alignment with any new set of tires. I get informed my truck is done and ready. Awesome, the guy rights up the work order an I pay the bill. The full bill for tires and the alignment. After which I get informed that they couldn't do the alignment an that I need ball joints and rear control arms. This would of been very important info to have before paying. Now they have to refund me my money for the alignment they could not be performed. I'm asked next if I would like a price quote for the repairs. At this point absolutely not. You can't inform me before finishing my vehicle that I need repairs an that you can't do the alignment? But you'll gladly charge me for it before reviewing your paper work. Needless to say I left livid. Once cooled off I walked around the truck at home to inspect the tires. Found all four my wheel covers destroyed, scratches, and cracks! You can see where they over tighten the outer wheel balancing nut into my rims and completely ruined all 4 of my rims. Unbelievable!!! During these 34 years never have I felt over charged for the vast array of repairs this family owned business has provided. There is a cliche at says "you can't fix stupid"; however, on multiple occasions Ray's Garage has proven that "stupid" can be fixed when they have repaired vehicles that were mechanically damaged when one (1) of the six (6) operators did something "stupid". The level of customer service and quality work performed at Rays Garage is the only reason I have never searched for another automotive repair provider. I believe 34 years of a business relationship would lead a prudent person to realize this business is an asset to the community.

The owner (Steve) calls me to tell me the best option was to buy an o.e.m. create motor from gm...so that's what I did. One year later I take it to gm who tells me all my Vin numbers match and the motor was never replaced but rebuilt instead. I went back to American and asked for my warranty information. Steve the owner refused to give me any information and refused to help in any way. The issue with the motor was the gaskets on block was blown out. Not only are they liars and thiefs but they do horrible work....in fact looking through the reviews the only thing these guys can do is tires.

He is the owner of the shop, told me he had the best guy on it, but was talking about my car like it was alien technology. IT WAS A TEN YEAR OLD MASS PRODUCED VEHICLE, not some formula 1 car. Anyway I ended up paying 1500 for the "parts" or whatever, Mike convinced me it was fine to drive on, but boom 5k miles later I get complete engine failure. Not only did I find both, but great ones at that! One day I went to have a standard oil change at one of the many lube stops that frequent the landscape, and later learned they had over torqued the steel oil pan screw and stripped the aluminum pan's threads. Needless to say I had big problem. I went back and the shop denied the damage and so found myself at a Honda dealership that promptly told me it would cost $1200 to replace! I was in a panic as I had nowhere that kind of money, and had to have my car to get to work. I asked around and my VP told me about Plevris. When I showed up, Mike, the owner personally greeted me and showed me the issue. He then said he could replace it, but since I was on a budget, he could fabricate a brass shim and see how long it would last. That small piece of metal lasted 2 years, and when I finally had to replace the oil pan, Mike found a used one and had it installed for $200! Not only did this simple fix save me from an enormous up front bill, it gained a customer for life! Over the years, Mike and his talented team have repaired my family's numerous vehicles, and not once did I feel cheated or mistreated. I have been driven to work after dropping my car off, picked up, and even allowed to borrow cars, all to accommodate me. I cannot speak for his other customers, but it would not surprise me if they received the same courtesy. Mike is a very rare find. In fact, this honest and ethical man honors his customers once a year with a Greek BBQ (full lamb on a spit) as a way of saying "Thank You" for your business! Good luck finding parking on that day! I cannot overstate how lucky I was to find Mike and his crew. He is good people.
