Bought a used car and our sales guy was Orion. Transaction/ paperwork was smooth. We were done with paperwork, and they handed me the keys. About 10 minutes later they called me and asked me to come back because they forgot to get the deposit. Fast forward not even 24 hours later & the check engine light came on & it has a bad catalytic converter. Called Orion and he offered no solutions, said we bought it "as is" and they could not help. Said we could bring it in and we would have to pay for it to be fixed. THEN had a mechanic look at it, and it had absolutely no oil in it.. at all. Poor service. Poor follow up. If you can, go to a different dealership for a car. I bought a used car from here to have as a second car and everything seemed to have been fine and ran fine when I test drove it and once I got home my convertible top barely went back up. The trunk also wasn't opening and when I was trying to start the car it was delaying a little. I called the next day to figure out if there were problems with this car already that they hadn't mentioned and the dealer, Peter Herman, didn't know so he said he would give me a call on Monday to let me know (it was Saturday). When Monday came he called and said that the service department said that there was no record of anything being wrong with the car and that the car was sold as is and everything was fine when we test drove it. They didn't offer to do anything about it which makes me think that they are a very shady dealership and the service department doesn't know what they're doing. There was no as is sticker on the car or in any of the papers that I signed. I called several times to speak with a manager (I live an hour away) and they kept saying that the managers are busy and I left messages to give me a call back and no one ever did. All they want is a sale, not worth dealing with especially if you're looking to buy a used car. If you want GOOD customer service, DON'T go here. read more

I bought my Mazda 3 there a couple years ago and have been very, very pleased with not just that experience, but each one since then. I had a very pleasant experience when I was in the market for a car and I fell in love with Mazda. They helped me in many ways back then. After that I have made a few changes to the car and wet back to them for those. From changing my mirror caps from white to black, to adding Apple Car play to my car, they have been perfect. If something is not right, they make it right. They are all very down to earth, willing to work with you to get exactly what you want. Great sales and service staff. Just be honest about what you do and do not want, and they do their best to help you. Sometimes I felt a bit picky, but they never made me feel that those choices were anything out of the norm. Steer clear of the service department here! I have purchased 2 cars from Mazda of Wooster in the past 4 years, with both having (expensive) extended warranties on them. Both cars had a number of oil changes included also, so I erroneously thought that on today's visit, the oil change would be covered. Well, as it turns out, it wasn't. It expired in May, I missed it by 3 months. Of course, the woman I was dealing with in the service department notified me of such, right? Well, hell no, not til after the work was done! And to add insult to injury, they charged me $80 for the oil change! Yes, EIGHTY bucks for a synthetic oil change (according to AngiesList.com, the average price of a synthetic oil change is $45 - $70). I realize that I am responsible for knowing the terms of my warranty, but I would think that common courtesy dictates that the customer be notified in such a situation. This is typical of the kind of shady stuff that seems to happen every time I take my car to them. I actually put off taking my car in for several months because I dread going there, it's always something with these people. So, beware if they do work on your car. Check & double check what's covered, etc. If you don't do your due diligence, you may just get a surprise at check out, like I did. This is why folks don't trust dealerships! It's obvious to me that the service department here does not care about the customer in any way, shape or form. It appears that it's all about their bottom line. I purchased a Benz from them a year ago ... I have the Concierge service package because it seemed like a good deal at the time. However, hindsight ... it takes a half tank of premium gas for them to pick up & return the car, the carpet inside was FILTHY from the shoes of the driver, and it took an ENTIRE DAY because the "70k service light was on" - but they just checked everything & changed the oil AGAIN. Never mind that I'd just had it changed 2k miles back ... absolutely ridiculous. Then $50 to look at a door handle, to get a price of $550 to fix! really? Waste of a day. Now I'm trying to trade it in because I don't want to deal with them anymore, and I can't get anyone to help me get out of my "extended warranty" that I purchased separately & should be able to get some of my money back. I was completely aware the car I purchased had no warranty-it was sold as is. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the warranty that was available to vehicles sold as is. I called the dealership to see if there was anything they could do for me especially since I had not had the car for even 60 days. They informed me I should have bought the warranty...you know that one they never offered in the first place. I figured if I went in to talk to someone face to face it would help. Oh, it did. They offered to trade the vehicle out right for something of equal value. I was so relieved at that point until the next morning they called and said they weren't going to do anything. They even brought up them fixing it...for a cost!! They wanted me to pay them to fix it! I refuse to give these people anymore of my money and I will NEVER buy another vehicle here. One star isn't even low enough for the service I've had today from this establishment. I was flat out lied to and I have the paperwork to prove it. They lied about my brake condition and tire condition so much so that I actually had to take it to my regular mechanic to check it out because I wasn't going to shell out almost $400 before tax to fix things that weren't an issue before I came in. And this is a common issue here. I had my oil changed and a front tire fixed on February 18 and now on February 24, they are telling me my car is basically falling apart. It is a well cared for 2012 Mazda 3, and now that I have spent my whole day at a repair shop, I have been informed by my regular mechanic that nothing at all is wrong with my car; just as I suspected. All I even came here for was a manufacturer recall and they were going to even charge me for my recalls until I expressed how upset I was. The guy who is clearly there only to gross people didn't have the right information about what "repairs" were performed on my car and the mechanic had to come out and explain what was "fixed". The salesman guy told me that I "clearly did not understand basic maintenance on a car" or else I "would let them go through with the $400 repairs." He acted as though since I am a young woman I am uneducated about cars and how to care for something. Overall, just save your time, frustrations, and money and go somewhere other than this joke of a business. My Fiance' and I purchased a Mazda Speed 3 last February from Mazda of Wooster. We had been looking all over Ohio for a good deal on one because this was my Fiance's dream car. They contacted us and could sell it to us for a price that worked for us. We drove over 2 and a half hours to get the car. We purchased the car and a month after we got it the check engine light came on and we had to put new o2 censors in it. Well we had noticed black smoke coming out of the muffler bad recently and took it a dealership to have it checked. They stated the engine was bad and we needed to put a new one it in. The car could blow up at any minute and we would be out a lot of money. We had no choice but to trade the car in at this dealership and get something different so we wouldnt risk it blowing up. We called Mazda of Wooster and they stated there was nothing they could do. Apparently the warranty expired a month before we bought the car but they didnt express that when we bought it. This car doesnt even have 60,000 miles on it and your telling me only having that a year is normal? I think not. The cost to repair the engine would be more than it was worth. The fact that they sell cars that break down a year later is not okay and would recommended shopping somewhere else where you will get what you pay for . We lost so much money purchasing from Mazda of Wooster and will never give our business nor recommended them again. read more
