I used to not have issues with this lab. I've been going there for years. I will not ever go here again though. The lady drew my blood so fast, first of all, it was more painful than usual. But more disturbingly, it immediately made the site inflamed and bruised - they look like TRACK marks!! I have pics but Yelp doesn't allow to include. They will hear from me directly though. The lady and her coworker were also very unprofessional in the way they were speaking passive-aggressively to other patient. I felt bad he had to endure that. Lastly, she kept the place filthy and hazardous - she didn't bother picking up any bandaid wrappers, they were littered all over the floor, so much so that someone could slip on them. They are the worst. They did my kids blood work, but refused to give the results as how they said they can't connected them to me. But they were able to connect them to me when they charged my insurance $3200. They should not have rights to keep the results and ask patients to jump through hoops to get them. Or we should also have a right to not pay them till we get results. They should be out of business. Please do not use HIPA as explanation, as if you were able to charge my insurance..... it should be more than enough to prove guardianship. You are disgrace for medical field. read more

Took my daughter here for a lab draw a few days ago. My daughter gets very anxious around needles and had her usual panic attack. Erika, her phlebotomist, couldn't have been nicer or more patient with her. After some encouragement from Erika and I we got the blood she needed. Erika, thank you for being so nice and compassionate. You were the best. read more

I had my doctor's office fax the order for some blood tests to the fax number mentioned on ACL's voice mail greeting. I had been fasting for over 12 hours. They checked, but had not received the order. I called my doctor's office to verify the fax number, but ACL was giving a different number than what was on the voice mail greeting. I called the doctor's office, and they said they would fax it to the other number that ACL gave me. ACL Lab closed while I was there, and they told me I had to come back another day, because they couldn't wait for it to be faxed again and for it to come through the system. They should have waited until midnight if necessary. It's not my fault that they have the wrong fax number on the voice mail greeting. Such abuse for the patients!!! read more

Worst I have ever seen. Rude phlebotomist and seemed to enjoy inflicting pain. Asked a question was sarcastically answered "yes Dr."

Just had dad's bloodwork done here. And the phlebotomists was so rude. Absolutely the worst. When people (older patient) are stressed out about blood work a little comforting and gentle treatment would not hurt. Will not come here again and will let our doctor know so they don't refer to this place. read more

Well, well, this place never ... An employee woman with blond hair is terrible, rude, very uncomfortable, she didn't even answer my greeting, she just looked at me ... I felt very bad there. They also do not have a good and sensitive approach to children, I was there with my child for blood, scared, cried but not a single kind word from the staff, they were so cold. I don't understand that people go to them for blood ... NOT for me, surely NO ONE of my family will ever come there and I will not recommend this place to any of my acquaintances. read more

Be careful. This place needs to be taught infection control. I had my blood drawn today. Found blood on the arm rest. They're suppose to wash their hands or sanitize before putting on gloves. I had to tell them what to do. It's easy to get infection such as hepatitis if they're not careful. I'm in healthcare so I know. I'll go to another place next time read more

I had blood work drawn here as the location was close to my work. I arrived about an hour before closing. When called back to have my blood drawn, the phlebotomist spent the whole time complaining about how myself and the others in the waiting room all arrived "so close to closing time" and that she will not "get out of work on time". Very unprofessional and rude. Her anger obviously distracted her because she forwarded my test results to the wrong doctor. This ultimately resulted in a delay of care which could have led to a very serious and tragic health complication. Had to file a complaint with ACL main office due to the severity of this mistake. Avoid this location. If you have to use ACL labs the one in Orland Park on John Humphrey Dr is staffed with competent professionals. read more

Terrible! I came here an hour and a half before closing, waited in the lobby all that time, only to get to the back and the phlebotomist to tell me that because it was 5 min after closing, she could no longer pull up my record in the epic system. She was rude and dismissive. I came back two weeks later, for the same blood work, and waited for almost 2 hours just to be seen. Find another lab, the customer service and wait times are ridiculous here. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I'm basing my review on the last two times I was butchered there. The employee is brash and unprofessional. This time she didn't verify my name, last time she didn't verify my name or birth date. Nor did she have me verify my name on the tubes afterward, which is done everywhere else I've been. She attempted a draw on my left arm, jabbing me so forcefully that I cried out and tears came into my eyes. My foot also shot out and kicked her printer, which is obviously not in a very convenient place. Then she proceeded to SCOLD me for kicking her printer, even as I was in tears. She twisted the needle around inside me, causing more pain, but no blood came out so she removed it and said, "Look at that, I just put a hole in your arm and you're not bleeding. You're dehydrated." She then tried the other arm, again JABBING with force and twisting the needle around until the blood started flowing. She asked me if I had had any water, and I said a little bit, because that's what I was instructed to do. She scolded me again, saying, "No, you have to drink a lot of water." I was following the directions written on my orders! Then the left arm started to bleed a lot. I had told her I was on blood thinners, but she ignored this and started labeling the tubes while blood began dripping down my arm almost to the point where my shirt was about to get blood on it. She's like, "Yeah, just a minute." OMG. SO unprofessional. Within minutes, a had two HUGE bruises in the places she butchered me. Listen, I'm a Stage 4 breast cancer patient. I know what pain is. I am not exaggerating. This is PAINFUL. I go every three weeks to the Advocate Christ lab for blood work, and I've never even felt the needle go in, and never have any bruising. It's totally possible to do this without pain, and without treating patients like a number. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I arrived there on a Saturday about 10 minutes before closing. 5 minutes later, the employee came into the waiting room and said "everyone up. Let's go" . There were about 15 people in there waiting. We all got up and were herded into the back room. She proceeded to turn off the lights in the waiting room and lock the door, even though there was still 5 minutes left until closing. I was insulted that we were treated like cattle. Blood work is stressful as it is without being "pushed along" by employees who just want to leave early on Saturday. read more

Between everything I had to get done for nursing school I think I came to this location three time for blood tests, drug tests, etc. I did have to wait to get my tests but the wait wasn't ridiculous. You can make an appointment and that would cut down on your wait time. read more

Several days ago, I had blood drawn at my doctors request, by a very nice lady who I ve dealt with many times. One of my tests required a stool specimen. The nurse printed a label, gave me the proper container, kept all the doctors forms and told me I could just drop the envelope off any time without having to check in. This afternoon I tried to do that but was told by this employee I had to check in. Of course the office was crowded by then. I told her I d come back later. She said "fine." Personally, I felt hostility from her and believe the first nurse gave me the correct information. After all, I was already checked in the system for all of my tests and the envelope was sealed. There was nothing for her to do but accept it. I think she s in the wrong line of work. No people skills. read more

I'm pregnant and at a high risk for preeclampsia so I have to come in on a weekly basis for tests. This place is a hit or miss with the wait time, but I've never had to wait longer than 20-25 minutes. They estimate the wait time on the electronic sign in by 10 minutes for each patient that signs in. They're pretty quick about getting what you need done so you aren't there longer than necessary. The nurses are friendly but very straight forward when it comes to giving you directions, which I understand can come off rude to some but they really are nice and on top of their job. However, I typically see the same nurses each time I've gone on different days at varied times, which makes me wonder how large their staff is. read more
