I'm not sure which is more impressive: the outstanding quality of the repairs (have used Acme twice), or the extraordinary service and assistance they provide. I really get the impression they will do anything to help you, from repairs, to advice, to a lift home here or an extra service there. What do you call a business that gets paid by the insurance company to do a 4 wheel alignment but only aligns 1 wheel where the damage was and then tells me that they were only paid to do the one wheel. Someone hit my car coming out of a parking garage and left a scratch on my bumper. I went to get a quote before insurance had given me an estimate and they were very nice! They tried to give me the best deal possible if I didn't go through insurance. Luckily insurance went through and I received money from the other party involved. It took 2 days to fix the scratch and I received text updates as well as phone calls to let me know my car was ready. They did an amazing job with the repair and had even given my car a wash. BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! Recently I was involved in an accident and knew from a previous incident where to have my poor truck towed! ACME!!!!! I had a front driver side collision and banged up my truck pretty bad. Not only did they provide me with the best customer service EVER, they got the job done in under 14 business days. Now that may not be normal. Perhaps they were a bit slow and my fender bender occurred before the blizzard. I'm not sure. However, I am sure that they provided me daily updates on the repairs. Whenever I called I was given information happily by whomever answered the phone. The office is very efficient. Mike & Steve ROCK! Manual was all over the texts updates! They really were an absolute joy to work with. When I picked up my truck (Tiggy) she was cleaned up and as good as new! Ready to roll! I was provided a detailed explanation of the repairs! Some jerk backed into my car, and I had an unsightly scratch/dent. I cannot say enough good things about this office. I dropped my car off on Friday afternoon, I got a call on Tuesday morning that it was done. Impeccable job. The paint was matched perfect...it's like it never happened, they even detailed my car for me and gave me a bottle of touch up paint for a few scratches that I had on my car from before the accident. Getting into an accident is stressful. And messy. And even if it wasn't your fault, something no one wants to deal with. Acme made the entire process painless and stress free. I would 100% recommend them to ANYONE. I hope I never need their services again in the future, but if god forbid I find myself with anymore damage, Acme will be my go to. read more

I ll be very fair with my review. Had a small collision with my 2017 wrx so the passenger front door was damaged. These guys took 3 weeks to put a door back which had rattles and after 3-4 visits they couldn't even find out what it was. Finally I had to go to Subaru costing GEICO additional 1400$ because of these guys shabby work. Further they did not put the door moisture barrier back and blue taped it instead. Got to know when Subaru opened up my door and mentioned about issues I would have had in the future if not fixed properly. They are funny too!!:) - The day I picked up my car, I was told that the best worker put back everything together who used to work in Germany or something like that. Yeah right !! Acme Auto Body comes HIGHLY recommended. Being in a car accident for the first time is stressful enough as it is. My car's front bumper was completely destroyed as well as my hood, the grills, my splash guard, and the clips that hold up my radiator. Keep in mind that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and what it would take for me to get my car fixed so I was nothing but stressed out! I am also in my early twenties and did not want to get anybody in my family involved so I was left to figure it out on my own. I blindly selected an auto body shop through Geico Xpress and just automatically assumed that I would have to go through hoops to get my car fixed and that it would be nothing but a hassle. For me, my experience at Acme Auto Body was the complete and utter opposite. Every single person that I came in contact with was nothing short of friendly and "all about the customers". To me, that is an extremely rare thing to find when it comes to this type of business. Everybody that I dealt with was also very thorough and explained the process to me so that I would easily understand. I also was extremely impressed by the wait time and how as soon as I walked into the office, I was greeted by somebody and taken care of right away. It is very clear that they all know what they are doing and that their customers are #1. It is also obvious that they run their business extremely efficiently. As far as the actual work that was done on the car, I am overall extremely impressed. It also took exactly a week to get my car back which was way sooner than I expected since I sent the car in the day before Thanksgiving. My car looks like nothing ever happened and that was what I was shooting for. Nobody in my family knew that I got into the accident because it would just make everybody neurotic so it was imperative that it looked the same as it did before I got into the accident. I definitely will be recommending Acme to anybody that I know. Best place ever! Would recommend to friends, family and co-worker. They are group of wonderful people and are great at what they do. I have been at this place twice and Steve remembers me despite the fact the first time I was here, it was more than a year ago. Steve is the Manager at Acme Auto Body Highland Park and an extremely helpful person. On Mother's Day, I got into a car accident. A car rammed into my driver side. The only opening they had was for May 23rd, but unfortunately my car was not-drivable due to a bent rod... (Imagine this, to drive straight, the steering wheel had to be at an angle). They were willing to take the car in without any complaints and made sure that the experience was all good for me. Enterprise was right next door (walk a few feet and you are There) so they were able to get a rental for me (Santa Fe Sport). All in all, they said it would be done in about 8 days and guess what? They were done with everything within that time frame. The switch between rental and my car was easy and straight forward. I just had to drop off my rental, walk a few feet, and pick up my car. The car drives even better than before the accident. Good as new! You can't even tell that I got into an accident. Steve also put on some silver paint to areas that have been scratched so that it doesn't rust. In conclusion, I would recommend this place to anyone I know who have been in an accident. Great customer service, knowledgeable and proud of the things they do... YOu can tell that they take pride in their work and they should be very proud. Having needed what I though was a significant amount of body work done, I called/drove to four different body shops. I found all of the pricing differences to be negligible, so I was really leaning towards whichever was geographically convenient. A friend insisted I call Acme Auto Body before committing elsewhere and I'm glad he did. It was during the initial phone call, with Steve, that I knew where my business was going. Having not seen my car yet, he kept most things/pricing rather vague - but honestly, as long as he wasn't outlandishly far above the average estimate; it was a done deal. His personable approach, unlimited time, and willingness to field any/all of my questions was unparalleled. It was extraordinarily refreshing after my first few estimates and past experiences. From start to finish, the attention and care that I (and my car) was given was incredible. My perception of the standard auto related experience, has been far surpassed...Acme raised the bar. The work itself was also flawless. Further augmenting my experience, they repaired a relatively nasty scratch I had on the opposite side of the vehicle, stating "it was easy enough considering we had the materials/labor in action for the collision repair". When asked, I was told, "it's complementary, you didn't ask for it". Easy money to be had, yet they understand the value of the customer relation - future business is worth more than a scratch repair. Acme will get any/all of my continued business and referrals. I was directed here by my Geico claim adjuster after another shop couldn't complete the work accurately. Absolutely awful customer experience, and even worse customer service. I was in a minor accident, and was given an option by Geico to use the xPress service available at ACME auto body. The initial estimate and rental car experience were fine. No issues. The problems started when they actually had to work on my car. I was originally told it would be done by 11/29. I received a call stating the car was completed on 11/24. I went on 11/25 and the condition of the car was a complete joke. There was a large black mark on the replaced hood and multiple bubbles in the paint on the replaced bumper. Someone came out of the shop to look at it, and literally said "Wow, who worked on this car?" ACME agreed the car needed work and I received another call on 11/29 that the car was again fixed. Once again, I went down to ACME and looked at the car. The hood, headlight and bumper are all out of alignment. It looks like very sloppy work. As I waited in the lobby for almost two hours, they attempted to fix it. It looks slightly better, but nowhere near what it looked like when I bought the car. Steve the manager, could careless that I was even sitting in the lobby waiting. Never once did he ask what the issue was, or what he could do to help. I would look around for another place before selecting ACME. read more

It was a cloudy day when car was delivered and I did not see the shabby repair work/quality. Just spent 3 hours cleaning/detailing the car in bright sun light and now see the problems. Their motto is "Excellence Guaranteed" and the live up to it 110%!!! I recently had the unfortunate experience of a car accident. My Nissan Altima was pretty damaged. For those of you who have a close bond with your vehicle, you can understand how my heart hurt to see my "baby" with a "black-eye" and "busted lip". At the suggestion of my insurance carrier - GEICO- I had my car (her name is Grace) towed to ACME Auto Body. The other driver had suggested another facility but I decided to go with GEICO's suggestion. I was pretty shaken up by the entire experience (It was my first auto collision & prayerfully my last) and I had no idea what to expect or how the claims/repair process worked. GEICO was amazing at holding my hand and walking me through the first steps to filing a claim after an auto collision, Then they handed me off to ACME who only continue the amazing job of helping me finalize all details of filing a claim. Everyone, I met with that day were great! They were professional and extremely compassionate to my situation. Something I truly appreciated. The thing I valued the most was how reassuring they were that all would be well. My claims adjuster, Mike, helped me to stay positive about this awful experience. He said: "what matters is that you are okay. Any accident you can walk away from is a blessing". Those words truly calmed me down. I had been so caught up in the experience that I didn't realize how much more serious it could have been. Myself and the other driver walked away unharmed. Just the cars were damaged. The entire team at ACME were very thorough with explaining the next steps of the claims and repair process. They made me feel valued and confident that all would indeed be well. And, their open door policy wasn't just talk. I was able to contact the office and my claims adjuster with any question I had and they answered me promptly and extensively. It took them a little less than two weeks for them to finish the repairs to my "baby". And, when I saw her, I was more than impressed! She was PERFECT! They missed no details! Even my boyfriend was impressed. So much so that he took the business card they gave me for himself (I had more than one so it was okay). ACME did such a great job that no one could believe Gracie was every hurt in an accident! She looks brandnew!!! Nissan would be proud! :) I would totally recommend this auto body shop. I am disappointed in them, yet not surprised. I settled with the owner of a car, whom i backed into. i have photos that a certain part is perfectly good. there is a thin line of an indent that even when touching, i could not feel. the team (manager steve) recommended that the owner replace the part at my expense. this was extremely convenient to the owner, since they finally admitted to breaking this part AFTER, i had hit their car. I would not be able to sleep knowing i had taken advantage of a person, in that manner, especially on a TEN yr old car ! it was difficult to get information from different members of the acme team. there was something about them that made me ill at ease. read more

I did not know what to expect but at the end I was pleasantly surprised of how great their service is. They accommodated my schedule, kept me informed every day, and expedited my car repair so I did not have to drive a rental longer. I sent my '10 Caddy wagon in for when i car got hit in the rear. i also wanted a unrelated repair done to my car. i had a faulty driver side door latch that wouldn't open every time i pulled the door handle. Since the car was there for getting hit in the rear i decided to have acme repair the latch. To repair the latch they had to pull off the interior door panel. When i dropped off the car there was nothing wrong with the interior armrest handle if there was i would have notified them that it was damaged. 3 weeks later i finally get the car back and notice that evening something was fishy about my door handle. I went back to the body shop to show them that my handle isn't on correctly and the Manager tells me yea we know about that. But let alone they never told me nor called me the day that something was wrong with the handle when i dropped it off still intact. They charge me for labor of pulling the interior panel but hide issues going forward. I asked why didn't they call me about this issue let alone they had the car for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!. The manager Steve Reilly says yes we should have called you but they never did and want me to deal with there mess up regardless of what happened to my door handle when it was there for 3 weeks After all said and done now all the want to do is patch/epoxy the crack plastic when they know its a temporary fix. I have had nothing but a bad experience the past 2 times at Acme Auto Body let alone always had to come back the next following day with something else wrong they are trying to hide for some reason. read more
