Mario jones is a thief and a liar. He ripped me off 5K and gave me my car back with huge gaps and no shocks. Then he sent me to his brother to pay an additional $800 to replace them. He even called his brother while I was in the waiting room to make sure I didn't know they were related so I would pay twice. This man is a terrible person and will rip you off. read more

Brought this guy my ford truck had fender, bumper and control arm damage he had my truck for 1 month all he fixed properly was fender and bumper the control arm was not fixed properly had loose bolts everything had to be taken off and redone by a different mechanic he tried to tell me it had frame damage wich was a lie he charged me 3.500 dollars for nothing but a bumper and a fender Mario and his brother are crooks and should be ovoided at all cost they over charge and don't do the work properly read more

As the rest, I am blown away. My son's car door wasn't closing smoothly as it should, and instead of taking it to the Stealership, I mean Dealership. I few local guys mentioned RAB. Sorry, we all have friends that know a guy. So of course I am that guy that checks the reviews and decided to meet Mario! Let's just say it's a breath of fresh air to find a team of people that just make things happen, maybe I hit RAB on a slow Friday afternoon, I doubt it! Nevertheless, they pulled my sons car right in and 20 minutes later we were shaking hands. I grew up in a small town, were this was how business was transacted. Everyone took care of you, and in return you were loyal to their business. So I will just close with, I am that guy that normally feels if a business slacks in their service offer, or provides subpar work, I will bang out a negative review, sorry too many options out there today! Best experience ever!!!! Went to another autoshop 10 minutes away and they gave me an estimate of $1200 and told me it'd take 3 days subtracting the weekend to fix...mind you we went in on a Friday. Came here, got an estimate of $600 and he said he could fix it by today. So basically for half the price and a third of the time I had my friends car fixed! I was nervous about the outcome of the car. Thought there had to be a reason it was half the price but nope! When we went back to pick up the car the dents were gone and no sign of any shipped paint. I recently Googled some local auto body shops since the one I have historically used seems to have new ownership where their prices and wait times are prohibitive for the services rendered. I came across Rutgers Auto Body. I looked at their Yelp reviews and then called Mario; I explained that the front driver side of my car got scraped along with getting dented while pulling out of the garage. He asked me to drop by for a quick look. When I did, I received a reasonable quote and a timeline of repair (up to just 3 days). He reassured me that my vehicle would look as-new. I took a chance and dropped it off. He was right--the damage was so perfectly repaired that even my dad had to ask me again as to which side it had been on. I hope their service continues as such. When a business provides above average service, and in this case, over-the-top service, I want to report it! I drove my car into Rutgers Auto Body and was greeted right away by a friendly man who happened to be the shop owner himself, Mario. He took a look at my car and told me he could fix it. He not only fixed it, but was able to fix it while I waited. This was a custom job too because I had a broken piece, a dent and some scrapes. He happened to have the broken piece there at the shop too!! The process took under two hours. His price was incredible too - I felt like there must be a mistake, it was so reasonable. Just got off the phone with an employee at Rutgers. I had a simple question about a quote for a timing belt on a 2006 Audi. I am planning on buying the car from a private seller and wanted to make sure it wasn't going to cost me too much to get the timing belt changed. As I was explaining my situation I was greeted with a "take a breath" comment. Fair enough I thought, maybe I was getting carried away. Remember I do not on this car, so I have limited information from the seller. I just want to get an idea. I just need someone to help me out. Instead, I was laughed at and told "you don't know anything about the car, so this conversation is a waste of time". Thank you for not helping me or pointing me in the right direction. I had a similar experience to Anne Marie's. I had some scratches on the right bumper and headlight, no dents. I called Mario and he told me to bring it in even though it was after hours. When I arrived, he took one look at it said he could fix it, and to bring it back the next morning. The next day I dropped off the car and needed to pick up my other car, so he drove me all the way down to Princeton so I could pick it up. He also blended the paint and fixed the scratches charging me a small fee. Mario is an honest, kind, and fair man who really helped me out in a jam. read more

I don't think people understand how lucky Central Jersey is to have this auto shop around. I mean as a broke college student I was scared to death when I gotten into my first accident. But the stars aligned and I somehow managed to find this place. They were able to completely fix both cars in the accident flawlessly. Not only that but they were very understanding of my situation and worked with me to get a price that was not only fair but a one that was the best you could possibly get. Based on the other recommendations here, I decided to give Rutgers Auto Body a try and was thrilled with the service. Someone had hit my bumper in a parking lot without leaving a note so I have been driving around with an unsightly dent for months. I stopped by without an appointment and Mario was more than willing to help me out on the spot, getting the dent out in a couple of minutes. I made arrangements with the owner, Mario, to drop off my car an pick it up by the weekend. Saturday rolls around an we speak at 11 am. Confirm I can get my car by 2pm. I get to the shop and hes not there. His wife/ secretary cant reach him and knows nothing of what was discussed. She said they close at 5 and asked I go back around 3pm and I did. She kicked my out becuase she decided to close early. Mario would not return any of my calls or messages. Now I am stuck until Monday without a car. Horrible way to do business.
