The entire place is shit. They served my husband with dementia and can prove while doing so the owner, staff, and patrons were in his ear bad mouthing me. He attacked me. I had to leave. They continued serving him knowing there was no caregiver at home. Even bought his pictures off of his wall to ensure he had money to drink. He fell. Went with a group of 13 for breakfast on a Sunday. Place was packed and we had to sit at two separate tables. Music was very loud and a little angsty but I guess that's what you get at a bar. Some of us ordered beverages (they are huge- one person just ate the food that came with the Bloody Mary and said they were full and that the drink was good). The hashbrowns were inedible. They were burnt to a crisp. The sandwich plate was disappointing- definitely not a brioche bun and the single slice of bacon about 2 inches long and the very thin sausage patty didn't really fill out the sandwich. Wouldn't return or recommend the food. The waitresses however were amazing and very friendly. They should stick to just being a bar. read more

We got there early because this place fills up quickly. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa. However, we arrived before the table next to us and they were served before us. The food in our Bloody Mary was cold which was disappointing. Other than that it was good. I would go back but will send the food back if it is served cold again. So glad we were given the suggestion to go to this hometown bar! They had live music and great food! They have a wonderful kitchen and the specials change weekly so be sure to follow their Facebook page for their tasty specials. I don't think this is a place a lot of tourist know about, so it was laid back and provided a great evening for some love music and good eats. read more

We (a group of 8 of us) have been going to the Acme Bar & Grill every Monday for Quizzly Trivia night. As it became more popular they started a reserve your table in advance to assure you will get a table on Monday night. So we called on Sunday to reserve a table and we were confirmed. We showed up and were told no table is available even though we had a reserved one. So the eight of us will not be going to our weekly Triva place anymore. We also found out that we were not the only ones that were turned away with a reservation. read more

OK... it's just ridiculous that Acme doesn't have more reviews. The bar is NON-SMOKING... hasn't been smoking inside for several years. The place is very clean. The food is EXCELLENT and priced right. They open up for lunch and are fast, as well. It's a great option for working people who have limited time for lunch. They don't even blink an eye if you ask for changes in the menu. For instance, they don't list a chicken philly, but they'll do it gladly and they're are as good as you'll find on the beach. I've been about a half-dozen times, each visit getting something different and I've not yet been disappointed. The philly is great, the BLT rock solid, the greek salad is excellent, and the wraps are good. I'll be working my way through the menu over the next several months. read more

Our waitress Kendra was super kind (hence the one star) but this food was freaking disgusting! I can't figure out for the life of me how you mess up crinkle cut fries. Looking at the pics I quickly took, I shoulda known. In addition, it was so dark in there that you could barely see what was around you. Not for me...online reviews were not compelling but I took a chance and popped in for lunch. My review is only based on the service or lack thereof so I can't speak for the food. The first thing you notice is the sign on the doors saying restrooms for customers only - noted. The bar area was semi crowded but the dining room was empty so I grabbed a seat on the end...crickets - no hello, welcome, what can I get you, nothing. Almost felt invisible but as the only person of color in the building I doubt that was the case. I headed to the restroom to wash my hands while I waited for a server to show up and was promptly greeted with an tart 'may I help you' not the 'what can I get you' kind, but more like the 'where do you think you're going' kind. Couldn't respond quick enough before her hand went up to halt me and let me know that the restroom was for paying customers....yes, the hand smh!!! But ...not today...not ever actually. It all worked out because I left there and headed over to another bar and got great service, great food....and clean hands!!! read more

Generic name in a strip mallI made me hesitant but we were hungry and thirsty and decided to get a cold beer and an appetizer then go somewhere else. The beer was cold and the food was surprisingly good. We have drank here several times but have not had the food until recently. Drinks are cheap and I have to say the food is great!!! We are here for bike week and the only reason I am giving 4 stars is because they were light staffed for Sat lunch on the first weekend of bike week. We were an 11 top and it took some time to get our food. But, I have to say a lot places "when they get in the weeds" will shortcut things and the food quality suffers. NOT HERE! We were patient and it was well worth it. Everyone's food was great!! We have now ate here 3 times this weekend!! YES, it was that good!! Pizza, BLT, Croissant sandwich, Nachos, chips, we have had a variety off of the menu and all of it was great!! The nachos are huge so our waitress offered us a half order. Thank goodness we got the half order, we still weren't able to eat it all!! Would I recommend this place, absolutely!! Would I eat here again, absolutely!! I am relatively local, an hour away. Love this place!! And we are looking forward to the next time we come back. Even met the owner, wonderful person and a friendly staff!! read more
