The people are nice. But frequently certain shelves are bare, which is frustrating. And the selection overall is limited.

Tiny, small, cramped supermarket. Not a huge selection. Better off going to Shop Rite.

I just had THE best experience at Trader Joe's. I love TJ anyway, but today when I was picking up…read moresome delicious things, Andy checked my groceries out. He asked about my Wknd plans and I told him I was staying home to keep an eye on my dog who just had surgery and I am worried about her. Next thing I knew, he somehow (w TJ bells) had a little bouquet of flowers brought over to his checkout station. He was so kind and sweet and helpful. It made my day. Thank you SO much, Andy! Trader Joe's rocks!

Her behavior made me feel like I was being watched and singled out, which was both upsetting and unsettling. It felt like I was being racially profiled, as she appeared to alert other staff to keep an eye on me and my girlfriend. We were simply shopping in casual clothing (sweats and slippers), and there was no reason to suspect us of anything inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the situation became, we decided to cut our shopping short and only purchased a banana. At checkout, I explained what had happened to the cashier and even asked whether theft of a $3.99 tote bag was really such a concern. It was frustrating to feel judged over something so minor, especially when we had no intention of doing anything wrong. Overall, the experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I hope management addresses this, as no customer should feel profiled or uncomfortable while simply trying to shop.

I don't get it. I always liked this ShopRite market but the…read moreservice is so spotty especially at the premium meat counter. It says open until 9 pm but good luck getting anything there at 6:45! Why bother posting hours ? They're never there and I've been there a half a dozen times when this happens I guess it's time to go back to Livoti At least the service there is excellent. The two stars are for value on groceries only

I shop between this store and the Middletown store. I like them both, but I was intentionally…read morecheated of a gift card at the Shrewsberry store. So here's my story. Back in August when my daughter was up from school and out and about I told her to pick up Brita filter for my Brita pitcher. She brings it home and I put it away. Fast forward to September when I needed the filter, I realized it was the incorrect one. It was for a faucet, not a pitcher. I went to the store and told Customer Service that I had the wrong item and that I needed a new one so she asked me for the receipt and I told her I didn't have it and I explained to her why and she decided to check my price club card account and didn't find it in there. I told her that it was purchased by my daughter and that the price club was not provided. So I noticed her annoyance and an attitude as if she didn't believe me, as if she thought I stole it. I say this because she sucked her teeth and looked upset with me. I have no idea what was going on through her mind but I didn't like the vibe I was getting from her and thought of asking for a manager, but decided to let it go. She ended up giving me a gift card which I looked at because it just had $29.99 written on it, but I took it and put it in my purse and proceeded to shop. After I paid and got to my car, I realized that I had forgotten to use the gift card so I figure I'll use it the next time, except that I kept forgetting and I forgot all about the card up until a week ago when I was looking for something in my wallet and I came across the card. I went to ShopRite today and try using the card and it turns out it was missing the bottom piece with the barcode. I went to Customer Service and told them that the card was missing a barcode and that's how it was given to me and so they said they will look at the camera for when the transaction was being done. They also checked my price club number and found the exact date that I made this return because it was scanned into my price club card for the return. The manager went into the office and after a bit, called up front to tell the customer service person that the camera doesn't go back that far and so they will not give me the credit. I understand why they didn't give me a credit because they have no idea if I used it or not, but what bothers me is that they have an unscrupulous employee who, instead of calling the manager to get his input when I was trying to return the item she decided to cheat me out of a gift card by giving me a fake one. So when getting a gift card at Shoprite and you go to Customer Service please make sure to check that you have a proper gift card with a barcode. The person's name I believe is Sam because when I described her as a Hispanic woman, they immediately knew who it was, and they kept referring to her as Sam. So if you ever come across this person or ever return something and she needs to give you a credit, I would double check and make sure that she gave you an actual gift card.

You don't have to be members to shop here either, there are other non-member carts for use. With the Prime cart, you log into your Amazon account, select your payment method, scan the QR code from the barcode on the cart and start shopping. You will still have to scan your items because the alarm on the cart will ring if anything is placed in there without being scanned. It's based on weight. There are tons of merchandise items in here (including farm raised meats and organic veggies) and the produce is super fresh and tasty. When checking out with your Prime cart, you won't get into a regular line, you'd go under the dash cart lane. Your receipt is emailed and just like that, you're outta there! No more waiting in long lines. It's genius but also a little too futuristic for me right now lol. I'd certainly recommend this shopping experience though.

It's perfectly fine I've never had a problem. Some prices are high but the pre packaged deli meat is really good and I'm one of the most pickiest people when it comes to lunch meat . The cheese is priced really good too . If you have Amazon prime you must use the cart. It makes check out a breeze. Also, the rotisserie chickens are the same as the ones at Whole Foods, but there are a few dollars cheaper and they're exactly the same very very good. I did not like the produce however for the most part that I do like that, you can go to the pro section and pick some fruit for your kids to eat. They have free fruit tower of free fruit for your kids to eat while you shop so I thought that was pretty cool too..
