I called and was told it would be 30-35 minutes.I waited,stood, out in the cold for 2 Hours !! I was told the Male Driver would not pick me Up because I didn't tip him. He failed to tell the Boss Lady ,I gave him a Twenty,which I do with every Driver. I had No way Home,so I called the Police, they made out a Report and got me Home. The Law say's it is an option to Tip. This Driver is Transporting and Stopping Illegal Substances, it is in My Report. Also to Licencing Board and to my Personal Lawyer !! I've used Acme's services twice and they showed up very quickly. The driver was polite and drove safely, which is unusual compared to many cab drivers I've had the displeasure of riding with in various locations. This takes Acme from 3 to 4 stars. Plus I always think of the Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote when I hear 'Acme', and who doesn't love a good old-school Road Runner cartoon? read more

Can I leave 0 stars? I called them 4 hours in advance. I booked the car for 45 minutes before my train. It's a 25 minute trip to the station. They were 22 minutes late. I JUST missed my train and had to pay an extra $20 to change my ticket. They didn't call to say they would by late. When I called them to check in they lied about how far away the driver was. The car was filthy and stank of smoke. Do yourself a favor and pick a different company. read more

Acme is horrible. Walk, you'll get there faster. The cab broke down on the highway, I missed my train, and they had the nerve to charge $20.00. When I called to see why they charged, they hung up on me. So glad the leadership in Albany approved Uber. Call a friend, call an enemy, but don't call Acme If you need a ride. read more

Called to get a ride home from work. Was told ride would cost $16. Picked me up and proceeded to tell me that they had to pick up another passenger (completely out of my way home). When I asked if i had to still pay full fair, I was told that each of us had to pay the full fair. The other passenger was dropped off first. When I complained to the owner, he refused to give me a discount. Was dropped off and told that the fair was $18. I paid the fair and will have nothing to do with this cab company again. Just moved to Cohoes from Albany and was a bit hesitant about getting a cab. The service in Albany is 99.99% of the time absolutely awful so my expectations were low. Turned out the cab driver was on time, polite and courteous, the car was clean and well maintained, and the price was reasonable. Pleasant enough trip that I called the same company for a ride home that evening. Same experience with the same driver who remembered us. Highly recommended. read more

I would not recommend this company due to unsafe driving. One of their drivers, in an old, beat up car, just tailgated me while I was driving home in Cohoes. He nearly hit me twice. He did not like that I properly stopped at a stop sign (even though there was no traffic coming into the local intersection), or that I stuck to the 30 mph speed limit in the city. Last time I checked you always had to follow the stop signs and speed limit, regardless of the traffic in the neighborhood. If you care about getting to your destination safely, do not use this company. read more

Terrible service, reckless driving. When I called to complain about how bad the driving was and gave the exact description of the car they told me that they had none of those cars on file. I gave the exact color and make of the car and they said "we don't have that color of impala" and were incredibly stubborn and didn't care about the safety. read more

No good. Not at all. I called a day in advance to schedule a ride to the Greyhound in Albany from my apartment literally three blocks from their main office; so they know right where it is. Due to inclement weather, I called ten minutes before to make sure my cab was still going to be on time. I didn't want to drive myself but being from Maine snow and poor roads don't phase me, so if I was gonna have a delay because of it I might as well drive myself to be on time. Called and was told my ride would be on time, MAYBE ten minutes late AT MOST. Being as I planned to show up about an hour early, ten minutes didn't phase me. Too bad ten minutes actually means a half hour. When I called back and asked where my cab was, the phone guy said it wouldn't be too long and wasn't at all phased by not being truthful about the estimated time. Long story short I planned ahead with plenty of extra time to make my bus and still ended up missing it due to what I feel were straight lies about what could be delivered. The only reason I'm giving two stars is my driver was a nice enough lady that I think tried to get me to the station on time. But the fact of the matter is they couldn't get me when promised, and I should have just driven myself. read more

I called for a cab this weekend I was staying at cocco's Travelodge they told me about 15 mins, After a half hour I called back to see if the cab was coming. The girl said the cab is out front waiting for you I'm out front waiting also, Well your cab is at the Comfort Inn Do I walk there I'm at cocco's Travelodge Oh! they will be right there. The cab came it was THE DIRTIEST CAR IVE EVER BEEN IN THE BROWN SHIT ON THE FLOOR WENT UP THE BACK OF THE SEATS AND ONTO THE ROOF WHAT IS THIS I'M GOING TO GET DIRTY SITTING IN THIS CAB My husband said scoot over i cant im stuck to the seat. Got out and walked around to get in the other side. The No Smoking sign is a lie the driver was smoking. When leaving the clam Steam in Latham I asked around to find a different cab company I was giving the number to Spindle City only to find out they are also know as Spindle City, Acme, and Bee taxi I said NO THANK YOU after making the call and called Capitalland from Troy NY to come and pick me up Yes their cab was clean read more
