I went to DB Motors with nothing in my pockets just to see what they could do. I was not expecting to leave that day with a Car. When I arrived I met with the Owner DJ. I explained my situation and he said we could work something out. I picked out a minivan and took it for a spin. when I got back he then showed me a different minivan. It was a little more money than the one I drove but DJ explained that the other one was better on gas and had safety features the other didn't. he stated that with my having 6 Children he would feel better knowing I had the safer vehicle. I drove off the lot that day after giving him $250 and then working out an agreement to bring another $250 the following week. I made payments every other week. One night I was driving home and my Tie Rod Broke. I called for a tow truck and then called DB Motors to leave a message and let them know the car would be towed to the lot and what had happened. I figured I would hear from DJ in the morning. My phone rang two minutes later and it was DJ the owner. He told me to cancel the Tow and he came and got us. he towed the Minivan back to the lot and made sure my Family and I had a vehicle to get home. The next day he fixed the vehicle and only charged me for parts. I was shocked " his reply to me when I stated that was " Look I have Kids and I would not want my kids on the side of the road waiting for a ride late at night." Ever since that first encounter with DB Motors I have purchased several cars. I have referred friends and family and everyone has been satisfied. I have always told Friends that when it comes to buying used cars on Vine St the only place I will deal with is DB Motors.

It's been well over a month at this point and no updates on parts, but have got plenty of solicitations/texts on signing up for their discounted plan/services. I drive a fleet/company vehicle which they know and have no use of whatever they're offering. They said my steering wheel control buttons and backup camera were bad and needed replaced and that they "re-flashed" my shifter button. I don't know what they were talking about but none of it needed replaced. Firestone fixed a loose battery cable issue that was causing the shifter issue and Reddit help me fix re-seating the camera harness that fixed the back up camera and steering buttons. Haven't had any issues since Firestone fixed the main battery issue. No call back, no updates, spammy texts, and saying I needed parts I didn't...No, I don't recommend taking a vehicle here.

Now my Truck was involved in a accident where it was totaled and to close out my financing account the finance company needs to get a hold of the dealership. They've been trying to get a hold of them for 45 days. Leave voice messages and emails. I have called the dealership numerous times talk with the operator, letting her know needed to talk to the finance person in charge. They always tell me they'll call you back but they don't. I've called and left numerous messages with the sales manager. They don't call me back. Meanwhile I am without a vehicle until the dealership gets a hold of my financial bank and gives them what the warranty payout is. They have to be the worst dealership in Lake County. I've never had to go through something like this before.

The place is a big storage unit, no lift at the facility, not a real dealer. He treated me as a woman with patronizing comments when I asked questions. He treated my other family member, who is knowledgeable about cars, in an even worse manner. If you want to make an offer, he won't even counter. He said " sounds like I will be paying you money to take the car". He said "you wasted my time". Anything you say, he says--"what do you expect from a 20 year old car". He told me a car from Maryland can't have rust because they don't get snow and don't use salt. Simply not true. There were many many things wrong with this car that were not disclosed in the description, and he would not admit that they were an issue. He would not make any adjustment for the repairs that needed made. No matter how great the car, do not go here unless you are willing to subject yourself to ridicule and condescension!

Very dishonest and misleading dealership. Their listing for a 2014 Honda CR-V stated that the…read morevehicle had new brakes all around and excellent tires. In addition, during a phone call with Michael Megresh, the owner, he told me the tires were new all around. I live about an hour away, so I did not want to drive there until I had financing arranged through a third party. I relied on the statements in their listing and on what I was told over the phone. Those statements, which are still on their website, were completely false and, in my opinion, borderline fraudulent. Because I was seriously interested in the vehicle, I paid $195 to have a well-respected independent pre-purchase inspection company inspect the car. The inspection found that the brake pads were only about 50%. The tires were mismatched, with three of one kind and one different tire. The tread depth was only 4/32nds. One tire had a gash in the sidewall, and another tire was badly worn on the outside edge. One of the most important things to me was finding a vehicle with good tires and good brakes so I would not immediately have to spend money on maintenance. I assumed the description they posted on every site where they listed the car was truthful. It was not. It could not have been more misleading. When I called the salesperson I had been dealing with, he said he had given the matter to his boss. That is when I called Mr. Megresh. I have never been treated so rudely as a customer. He told me my inspection company was lying to me and did not know what they were doing. What possible motive would an independent inspection company have to give me false information? Despite the inspection results, he still insisted the tires were excellent and the brakes were new. Then he had the nerve to offer only $200 off the price of the vehicle. The only reason I paid for the inspection was because I relied on their representations that the vehicle had new brakes and excellent, or supposedly new, tires. Both of those statements were false. All I asked for was reimbursement of my $195 inspection fee because their misleading listing caused me to spend that money. Whatever you do, stay away from this dealership. In my opinion, they made false and fraudulent statements in their listing and over the phone, treated me rudely when confronted with the inspection results, and refused to take responsibility. They will tell you anything to sell a car. Be very careful.

I was very interested in purchasing the 2005 Mazda MX-5 Mazdaspeed they have for sale. I called and…read morearranged a pre-sale inspection at a Mazdaspeed Miata specialist of my choosing, which I paid for, and the dealership took the vehicle there for the inspection. Overall, the car looked good, especially considering it has just under 15,000 miles and all of its components appear to be original. However, the inspection identified a few items that needed attention before I would be comfortable driving the car. The shop recommended replacing the serpentine belt and, most importantly, the tires. The tires are dated 2004 and appear to be the original tires. The inspection included photographs documenting their condition, including cracking/splitting from dry rot on all four tires and a bubble on one tire. I emailed back and forth with the dealership hoping we could reach an agreement. I wasn't asking them to restore a 21-year-old car or address every age-related maintenance item. My primary request was simply that they replace the four tires because of their documented condition. I raised my concerns regarding Ohio's safety requirements for tires and provided the dealership with the independent third-party inspection documenting the tire condition. I was prepared to pay cash for the vehicle and have it professionally transported to Phoenix, where I live. I had already researched and arranged the transportation details and was prepared to complete the purchase once we reached an agreement. I would have been happy to pay their asking price if they replaced the four tires. They declined. I emailed several times trying to resolve this one issue, but Cecilia was unwilling to negotiate. The response I continued to receive was simply that their price was firm. My concern wasn't about trying to get a bargain on the car--it was about purchasing a vehicle with 2004 tires that an independent inspection had documented as cracked/dry-rotted, with a bubble visible on one tire. The vehicle was being sold AS-IS, which I understood. However, I specifically raised the tire safety issue before purchasing and provided the dealership with the inspection documenting it. I also raised my understanding of Ohio's requirements concerning unsafe tires. I would encourage any prospective buyer to independently research those requirements and have the tires inspected before driving the vehicle. Even though I planned to have the car transported to Arizona, once it arrived I would not have been comfortable driving it from the delivery location to my home or even to a tire shop on those original tires. The car has also been advertised for sale for more than two years, and I was told its last oil change was when the dealership first acquired it. I understood that an oil change and other age-related maintenance would be my responsibility, and I was willing to take care of those things after purchasing it. The tires were the one item I was not willing to accept in their documented condition. So, Cecilia, you lost a ready cash sale on this 2005 Mazdaspeed because you were unwilling to replace four 2004 tires with documented deterioration. I liked the car, was prepared to pay the asking price, had transportation arrangements ready, and genuinely wanted to purchase it. Unfortunately, there was simply no willingness to work with me on the one safety-related issue preventing me from completing the sale.
