After vetting many companies, I came across Rudd's. Danny was the only inspector I could find who seemed to know the true detriment mold and mycotoxins can have on some people. No one else in my house was effected by the mold, but I could tell there was something there and Danny believed me. After doing an air sample with no evidence of mold spores, he went a step further and did a cavity sample in the wall. The results for mold were off the charts. Not only did he find the mold, he found the cause of water penetration. The report itself didn't mention any mold, showing a complete lack of professionalism and knowledge. On top of being overpriced, he then charged us again just to issue the proper rental inspection certificate that should have been included from the start. Anthony hired some random guy named Jimmy, whom didn't know what he was doing. He was dry sanding lead covered door thresholds with a palm sander. Lead dust was everywhere with windows open, great now they got lead in the soil outside. They were supposed to be stripping, and wet sanding, and encapsulating. They strip some of the paint, only to sand it off later, and while the whole thing was covered in lead dust, without cleaning/wiping the surfaces that they were sanding, they put encapsulating paint on it. So now I have 10 grainy doors with obvious patches of paint that they were too lazy to take out showing through. We also have them two doors to stripped, they said they do that off premises. it was suppose to take 2 weeks, a month and a half later we got the doors, great job on the doors, however they left the doors outside while I was at work, only to come home to find them soaking wet covered in snow. So now the doors might bow out because they got wet without any protective coating on it. Beware. Do not hire them. It is a rip off. Awful. Now I have to RE-do everything that they "did" myself.
