My Redfin realtor Chris recommended Sean with Anthem Services to the inspection on a house that my partner and I are hoping to purchase. When I arrived 10 minutes early to the 2:00pm appointment Sean was already there. He was very friendly (in person and on the phone) and had already done a perimeter inspection! After introductions he took me around and pointed out what he had already seen and was a patient educator. Joining the inspection with me was my father and partner via a video call. Sean not only responded to my questions but theirs as well. Made sure that they were responded to and was patient with my very curious father who tried to keep rushing him along. Sean could have become flustered but he didn't and managed my father in a way that was respectful and professional. I. WAS. SO. IMPRESSED. I had no idea how through a home inspection was and honestly when I told others about my experience (because I am hollerin from the mountain tops) my friends [one of which just purchased a new home] were shocked as how in depth Sean was. I could literally write for so much longer about how positive this experience was for me. Buying a home is nerve wracking. Meeting up with strangers in a COVID world is anxiety inducing. Trying to navigate an inspection with a partner on the phone is hard and clunky speaking through masks and over water sounds but Sean did it. Real talk I was skeptical with the recommendations that Chris (Redfin realtor) put forward but I didn't know any different so I took the first one on the list. And BOY OH BOY am I glad I did that. **CHRIS Keep putting Sean first** The inspection report was in my email the next morning. During the inspection Sean had recommended a specific product to fix something that came up during the inspection. I felt comfortable emailing him asking him for the name again and he responded almost immediately. ALSO - he recommended to me a termite inspection company (the next Yelp review I am going to write) and he was FANTASTIC as well! He went out of his way to point out water damage found in the ceiling to Sean before he was even there. The communication and teamwork is what EVERY buyer should experience when navigating purchasing a house. It was CLEAR that everyone on our team CARES that we doing get a lemon. Sean performed my home inspection and was extremely detailed and really took his time to explain everything he was doing and saw. He constantly stopped to see if I had questions and explained how various things should operate throughout the home. He sent over the report in a timely manner since I was under a deadline. He even called after he sent the report to see if I had additional questions. We had a new home built and wanted the get the inspection done. With everything going on we were down to the wire for our walk through and closing. I contacted Sean after reading the reviews, he was quick to respond, personable and able to meet our requested time. We (the buyers), weren't allowed in the home for the B inspection, per the builders' request, 1. so we would be surprised on the day of our walk through, and 2. for our safety. Sean said "don't worry I'll take plenty of pictures for the report", and he did. The report was thorough and he explained everything of what still needed to be done. This was my first experience using a home inspector and I hit the jackpot! 5 star is an understatement. They arrived early and immediately started. I literally pulled up to the property with a smile to see them taking initiative without having to micro-manage. Sean at Anthem Services, LLC I highly recommend using Anthem Services for a home inspection. Sean went above and beyond for me and my family. We were buying an old house in the city that had been remodeled. As anyone who has been through that experience knows, there's so much uncertainly that comes with that kind of purchase. I had sent an email with a list of questions regarding services and associated costs as well as my particular concerns about potentially over-paying and wanting to make sure that everything we were expecting to get, we were actually getting. I sent it to 4-5 highly reviewed inspectors. Sean was the only one who called me back personally and I came away from the conversation feeling confident in Sean's abilities. I also felt his rates were very competitive. One thing that gave me a little extra confidence is that Sean has previously worked as a lead paint assessor in the city. So he had experience going in and around old houses and dealing with issues of lead paint abatement. On to the inspection: He did an very thorough job with high quality equipment. I received very good photos both regular and with a FLIR temperature sensor camera. He took relative moisture readings in the basement. He had a telescoping camera arm that could get photos high up outside. He checked appliances, every electrical switch and socket. He was punctual. And he was fair. Despite finding lots of defects that genuinely needed to be fixed, he reminded me that it was a beautiful house and that buying an old house, even a remodeled one, is not exactly the same as buying new construction. The entire inspection took about 4 hours and there was no lolly-gagging during that time. The report was available promptly. He also gave me all of the photos he took (they were not all in the report). Furthermore, he was available by phone to make amendments to the inspection report, if for example, we wanted to add or switch one photo for another or tweak the wording so it would be more clear about what needed to be fixed by the seller. And by the way, he did give me good information about ways to safely deal with residual lead paint in or around a house. He really earned my trust. I would definitely recommend him to others and use his services again if I were to buy again. read more

Sean arrived to the appointment early and started the inspection before we even arrived. He was very patient in providing an unbiased explanation on items that were acceptable and deficient.
