Hi, this review is in regards to a bad experience I had with this company. I do not care what these people say. They are dishonest. I came in because I was smelling smoke from my vehicle but I didn't really know exactly where it was coming from but had my theory it was the tires. The lady said that the diagnostics would be 16.99 and I actually repeated it to her 16.99?, and she agreed. I said, "I think there might be something wrong with my tires." Me and the manager went outside. He looks at my vehicle and says "oh it's probably your tires, it's rubbing the rotors" or something to that effect but then he says, "let's wait on the mechanic to make sure that's what's wrong with the vehicle." As i'm walking to the door, he says "she told you the diagnostics is 16 .99 correct" and I said "yes." The mechanic gets there. The lady they have at the front desk (kind of heavyset with dark brown hair) gave me dirty looks the whole time. The mechanic lifted the car looked at my tires and said "it was my rotors etc." They never performed an actual diagnostics test where they hooked the car up to a machine and actually told me what is wrong with my car. He made no effort to do that. I got no paper or information on anything that was wrong with my car except what I stated above. I never received a full diagnostics test. The mechanic came and told me the same thing I already previously was suspecting and the manager agreed with. The time comes to pay and this dude charges me about $74.54, so confused I said I thought you guys said it was 16.99 and then he says no it's 69.99 but because of their accents, I think they use their accents to confuse people and then charge them anyway because he pronounced it correctly, then. I could've gotten what they did at AutoZone for free! I would never go to them work on my vehicle. One of the things I cannot stand is a dishonest mechanical company. They seem like they scam people on the regular. They don't honor their customers. Even if it was a matter of miscommunication, I never received a full diagnostics test to charge me that amount. He should've at least negotiated a cheaper price because of the misunderstanding but no. They took all of my money 70 something dollars to tell me the same thing I already probably suspected and just to look at my vehicle with their eyes. They honestly think that's fair and the way they should do business. Their fake personality and fake nice behavior with "certain customers" doesn't fool me. They are dishonest. They even added tax on it, lol. I guess they're taxing their vision now. Even if it is was 69.99 they added tax, so it wasn't the price they originally told me. They never said plus tax and how is it even considered a taxable item? Unfortunately, I paid them with my cash app card and cash app does not care about disputes and is a garbage company when it comes to those matters. They got my $74.54 but I bet you karma will get them. Thieves!!! read more

I was needing my tires balanced (so I thought) and after looking at a few shops on Yelp, O decided to come by Auto Tech because how close they are to where I live in College Park and also because of his reviews. I came in without an appointment and within minutes they too my Honda Element in. Immediately I was notified that it wasn't the balance that I needed but instead I had bad tires. After looking at tires, I descoses to go back home and come back for tires later. Needless to say they didn't want to do the balance job and take my money because it's not going to fix my problems. That's how the guy worded it. Only an honest shop would say that. Anyone else would just have balanced it anyways and send me on my way. We need more honest shops like this! if I could give this business a -5 review, I would. we paid this man to change both struts and a CV axle in total we paid him about 1500. I came to this business because my CV axle was clicking after he said he fixed it. It was still clicking. I brought it back because it had a warranty he threw the keys at me because he said I tried to tell him how to do his job I don't know anything about mechanics he just has a very bad temper if you question his work at all. after going back three times the clicking didn't stop and he threw my keys at me. He said he can refuse to work with anyone he wants to. He bullied me out my money and didn't fix my car. He's dishonest and doesn't honor the warranty and does a choppy job. He is not a true mechanic. He's only in it to take peoples money. It explains why his prices are so cheap. I'm so disappointed I have to pay to get both struts and CV axle done over again during the holidays when it's already hard to pay anything. read more

Stopped by for an alignment for my BMW this afternoon after being referred to Auto Tech from another local shop that did not have the right alignment machine to work on BMW's. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and squeezed us right in without an appointment. One of their mechanics immediately began working on my car. This vehicle I brought in has after market wheels and tires. Auto Tech attempted to work on the alignment for about an hour, and after multiple attempts where unable to fully perform the full alignment, mostly due to the vehicles wheels, tires, and suspension. Auto Tech was upfront and honest about everything from beginning to end, and got us back on the road safer and with the vehicles alignment better than how it was brought in. Because they were unable to perform the job to their standards, we were not charge. This is how a business should always operate! With honesty and integrity.. Thank you!! read more

Absolute terrible shop. Don't go here unless you want to be scammed out of money. They first changed my oil and got oil all over my engine without bothering to clean it up. My truck smelt like burnt oil for about 2 weeks after. At the same time, had my check engine light diagnosed. They claimed it needed a transfer case when it is a 2 wheel drive and doesn't even have one. They also said it needed new knock sensors but refused to fix them. In hindsight, I am glad they refused. I do not want them inside my engine. Then they were supposed to repair my AC. They claimed they did. I checked on it and it worked so I paid and left. Not even 10 minutes later, it stopped working again. I took it back. The technician, Angel, tried to fix it but many times said that the owner refused to let him. Got my truck back after over a month and still do not have AC. The owner then tried to blame it all on the technician. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted and next will be the court. read more

Worst brake service I've experienced ever, the brakes were left squeeking cause they tighten them too close to the disk, they lost my new car's tires lock nuts, had to go back cause brake's paddle were way too low, right after brakes were fixed, really sloppy work. And the owner, forget him no manners and worst customer service. Go somewhere else, they'll try to make you fix disk and etc... just to have brake pads done. read more

Amazing customer service! After months of dealing with road vibrations caused by tire misbalance (no thanks to tires plus AND reed nissan for their failed attempts) I finally have a car that runs smooth at high speed.
