The samples they sent were poor quality, sloppy and uneven staining, and not at all what I had explained that I wanted. I found the product and color that I wanted and gave the information to the contractor. He insisted that Finnmark could get the product and do the installation with quality work. They got the product, but the installation crew was careless and sloppy. I ended up with glue on freshly painted wall walls, holes punched in drywall buy carelessness. On July 22, 2022, Superior Roof Solutions took off my old tile roof and replaced plywood and other damaged wood. After doing this, David Sager told me that it was going to take six months to get the tiles we contracted him for, and tried to switch us off to shingles. His first mistake was taking off the roof before he knew he could get the tiles. We had a historic amount of rain in Southern California since that date. The roof remained just plywood until fall when we knew the first storm was coming, and just as the rain was about to start his crew finished putting plastic over the plywood. The roof still leaked during the storms. I tried very hard to work with David, giving him the benefit of the doubt. His online profile here on Yelp had been perfect. All five-star reviews, except one that sounded unreasonable to me. Because of the great reviews at the time here, I thought I could trust him to finish the job, at least at some point, so I kept working with him. A few months ago, he finished the tile roof over the main house, but, did not finish the roof over our indoor pool. His crew also left trash all over the property including nails and other things that were dangerous to our grandchildren and pets. He was supposed to replace our rain gutters, and took them off, disposed of them and never installed new ones, which were part of the contract. As we were coming up to July 22 of this year, I tried calling David. His mailbox was full and not receiving any messages. Same thing with the company phone. I emailed him and told him that if he could complete the job by July 22nd, I'd work with him, but, if that date came and went and my roof wasn't complete after a solid year, I would find someone else to complete the job. Today is July 24th and I am interviewing other roofers to get the job finished. Since he started the job with us. the Yelp reviews have gone to one-star with several other people saying they have had similar problems, including getting liens filed against their property. I checked his license, and it's been revoked due to not having Workers Comp coverage. I checked his bond and it's also revoked. I'm so disappointed because by all appearances this company did a good job for many years, and for some reason has gone the other way.

And after I disagreed, they sent a huge bill after lying about it and saying they wouldn't charge much for tarps and plywood, which didn't work and I didn't even need them since it was July and I don't need to board up a burned out garage with nothing to value in it. Communication was constant & detailed. Once work started the sub contractors H&H works with were all professional & did excellent work. H&H's own personnel were great also. When something needed to be addressed quickly they were there. Mark, the construction supervisor, knows how things should be done & made sure everything was completed to his, & our satisfaction. There was a bit of apprehension since the reviews were a little old, however I don't always put stock in those kinds of things as not every customer goes to Yelp to write reviews on companies they've hired unless they specifically found them via this site. Now it's very "no frills" but they had an itemized list of the costs for what they typically do for the job, so I figured, well why not, let me just throw them into the mix of those I contact to have a consultation with. I called the number here on Yelp around 12pm. It was picked up by a woman who then asked me a few questions about what I was looking to have done. So we sorted all of that out, and she asked me to text her my address so that their "appraiser" can come over and give me an estimate of how much the total cost would be. She said that she would contact the guy after our phone call, and that we had an appointment set for him to be at my apartment at 5:30pm THAT DAY. Well guess what... 5:30pm rolls around, and no appraiser. 5:45pm comes.... No appraiser. I call the number back to see what's going on, if he was lost... Anything. NO ANSWER. In fact the cell phone number I had JUST spoken to this woman on had a "mailbox full" auto message. The calls to the company line (which routes to that very same number since their company has a Google Voice number) went unanswered. So by 5:50pm I'm MIFFED, because I changed my entire evening just to be here for this appraiser dude to show up. I text them TWICE to see what's going on... You guessed it, no response. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait 24 hours before deciding to write a review warning others of this company. Here I am TWO DAYS LATER, with no explanation, apology, or response from this "company". Mind you, I contacted a second contractor the next day (which was a Saturday) and the guy not only picked up the phone, but came out to give me estimates for the job on THE SAME DAY. In fact, he was at the apartment 2 hours after I had spoken to him! That guy's on Yelp too, look him up and BYPASS this hot mess of a painting company. The other guy was Italian Painters. Take your business there or to another high ranking yelper with RECENT reviews. Don't waste your time on this place. If they can't bother to keep appointments, OR at least arrange another time to have someone come to your place (even after they chose the time he'd show up), and can't return calls - and all this PRIOR TO HIRING THEM - what do you think will happen once you do sign on the dotted line. First, they lived up to their name…read more Before finding CHP, we received quotes for $4,800, $2,500, and $2,500 to have our popcorn ceilings scraped, skim coated, and painted. CHP came in at a grand total of $1,760 (although we did pay for about $130 in supplies). They lived up to their promise that they would not leave until we were completely satisfied with their work. The only reason why this is not a 5-star rating is that they were slow. We were promised 3 workers to get the job done quickly (before we move in to our unit), and at no point did we have more than 2 workers, and often only 1 worker. But they were very pleasant to be around, hard working, and very helpful for other repairs going on that we did not pay them for (e.g., one of their workers helped plaster a piece of drywall after we had an unexpected plumbing mishap in the kitchen). We will be calling them again.
