We moved Minnetonka to Texas. We had drawer left full at our old house. Our Realtior was aiming to pick it up and deliver it to them to ship to us. When the truck arrived they unloaded the box with a very complicated bingo system. This made it hard to keep track of what was missing until after they left. We have multiple box of kids toys that we found were missing after we moved. We had multiple damage to toy, multiple chair, and a trophy. All of the items they packed were the ones that were broken. I had to work with a sue Zabloski. I would not recommend working with her unless you never want to hear anything about your claim for damages. Our claim was submitted on July 10 of 2025 we have signed everything and gotten all refunds as of November 21 2025. During this time sue zabloski never talked to me on the phone. Only email and never replied to any emails. I had to talk to Adam Trygstad who then talked to her but still she never answered the emails. I called her office said I need to talk to a manger to get my husbands trophy reimbursement figured out from the cracking. They took notes but did not give me to a manager. Finally, a few days later, I got an estimate from them on what they estimated my husband trying to be worth. A glass trophy that I specifically had them back so it would be safe because they said if they packed glass, it would be safer than if I packed it. The other items that were broken they literally reached out to the manufacturer and gave exact quotes for us to get bolts and screws to fix each individual item. The Bolton screws were the amount that they offered to refund us for our items that were broken. If you want your household items to be safe and secure during a move, do not use them. Please find someone else. They will not pack everything and when there is an issue, their customer service will not be helpful. read more

Action movers lost one of our crates that was placed in storage. They admitted that they lost it including some of our inventory pages. After waiting several months for them to locate it we, filed a claim. Things that were missing were my jewelry ( stupid of me to pack it), both my husband and sons military medals and coins, family heirlooms, things that never can be replaced. The company didn't return e-mails, phone calls, or letters. They finally sent an e-mail stating that they would give us $ 50.00. What an insult read more

They started out looking like things were going to be great. They really did know how to hustle. The big problem came when I started to unpack! Broken antique dishes, scratched furniture, and just extreme carelessness when it came to my belongings. I won't be using them again if I ever have to move again. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This company is horrible, don't ever use them or you will be sorry. First, everything I was told when they were giving me an estimate was a lie. Everyone I talked to (the estimator, people in the office, and the movers) had different answers to questions. I was told it would take 4 days to move my things to Chicago (400 miles). It took 11 days. All of my boxes came back damaged, with holes in the sides and dented. My furniture had foot prints on it and plenty of scratches. I had to stop the movers from DROPPING my boxes on the floor. When I said something the mover said, "what does it matter-they're clothes and they're heavy." He was wrong, they were breakables and I hired movers because they were heavy. There was no attention paid to my boxes marked fragile or this side up. read more

We asked Action Moving for a quote to move us from MN to CO in May 2021. They were referred to us (local moves) and the agent told us we would get our furniture within a 10 day window. The crew that came to pack our belongings was super professional and did a good job. However, they laughed about us getting our stuff and said there was not a driver assigned for us. This is a long story but bottom line, they are an agent for Atlas and they knew well before they took our stuff that we would never get it on time. Action never reached out to us once and misrepresented the fact they could do the job. After numerous phone calls, emails & frustration we received our furniture 38 days late. If they would have been honest with us, we may have moved ourselves or at least been prepared & packed more of our stuff. I cannot express the amount of lost sleep, frustration and stress. I would never recommend this company based on the dishonesty and lack of empathy. No one cared. Plus, we were forced to pay the full price. read more

I used Action to move from Minneapolis to Philadelphia. The entire process was professional, courteous, and efficient. Everything was explained to me in detail, and my expectations were managed the whole time (for example, it's not possible to send your belongings across country and expect to receive them in a few days. It takes longer than that, and you will likely have to live very sparsely while your belongings are being transported). Adam, who managed my move, communicated the timeline to me clearly. He also dealt with some big bumps on my end: I had to scramble to find a new place at the last minute, AFTER my stuff had already left Mpls, due to the original place--a new building--not being ready for occupancy even after I signed a lease. You can imagine how stressful that was! But he calmly awaited my new address and communicated it to the Philly side of the process, and all went well! My stuff arrived well within the communicated timeframe, and the final price came in under estimate. Nothing was damaged, and everything was accounted for. The movers on both sides--Mpls and Philly--were great, and made it easy for me. I would use Action again! read more

Pros: Efficient, on time, responsive, polite Cons: Refused to compensate for damaged TV In May 2018 I discovered my flat screen TV was damaged when I unpacked it from its TV box a few days after my move. The side of the TV had separated from the screen, and the screen itself was distorted like something heavy had been resting on it. Action Moving had moved it into storage for us for 7 months in addition to moving out of my apartment and into my house. I had a TV repair person come out to assess the damage (In Home Tech Solutions). He wasn't able to repair it after two tries (once to see if it was something simple, another to replace the mainboard). Unfortunately the TV wouldn't even turn on after that, which the repair guy said was due to the damaged screen and LED panel wires. The cost to replace the screen was more than the TV was worth. When I sent the pictures/claim to Action Moving, they denied any claim based on the fact that I was the one to pack the TV into its box (not them). Therefore there was no way to prove it wasn't already damaged when I packed it into the box, or that it was packed improperly. It wasn't damaged when I packed it, but I'm not sure how I could have proved that. I totally understand moving companies shouldn't be at fault if you have dishes that crash against each other in a box which cause them to break. That's how I understood the agreement when I signed it. However, there was nothing else in the TV specific box with the TV besides the 4 corner pads and protective covering designed to keep it stable. My guess is there was something heavy stored on top of the damaged side in storage and/or in transit. The movers themselves seemed careful with my stuff. Not only did they deny my claim to any compensation, they were bizarrely insistent that the repair guy caused it to break. Therefore they shouldn't be liable. While it's true the TV did turn on immediately after the move, it was clearly damaged and provided a poor viewing experience. If it wasn't damaged in the first place I wouldn't have had anyone attempt to repair it. Overall, my experience with Action Moving was positive until I discovered my damaged TV. Their representatives were polite and responsive leading up to both moves and during the storage period. The movers were professional, efficient, and on time. My TV cabinet was scratched up, but that was the only other damaged item outside of my TV (which I didn't claim). A few recommendations when working with Action Moving: 1 - Have them pack your expensive/bigger items. Then they can't claim you could have packed it incorrectly. 2 - Take pictures before and after. 3 - Submit any claims before attempting anything yourself (like hiring a TV repair company). My husband and I have used this company for two cross country moves and would absolutely book them if we move again. None of our items were damaged on either move. The last time we moved, the super-helpful consultant suggested that we use the Atlas Smart Move service where they pack our stuff in 'pods' and ship it to a storage facility until we were ready for them to deliver to the house we eventually found. What a slick system! This works great for people who will have a lag between when they leave one home and can find another--ours ended up being 5 weeks. They arrived with the pods when we needed them, arranged them in a practical manner for unloading, and picked them up right when they said the would. As a rule, moving is not fun, but Action made it a lot less of a headache for this family. read more

We used this company to move from Minneapolis to East Bethel after receiving a few quotes. They actually came in UNDER the quote they gave us! The estimator told us they would need to build a crate to safely transport our huge plasma TV. The moving crew brought the crate but found our TV fit in their plastic TV box (just barely) and did not charge us for the crate! They moved fast! I always find movers move faster if you're helping move boxes and smaller items to the truck to help expedite. We had 3 movers who were all polite and personable. No damage was done to our items and we will definitely use them again. read more

Even though it was a small apartment they still came out ahead of time for free to do an assessment to make sure they had the correct resources amd materials on move day which was great. The 3 movers were on time and true pro's. Moved from a 4 story unit to another 4 story unit across town so they got their workout. Nothing damaged. We were not happy with all the scratches on most of our furniture. That was bad enough but when we complained then they sent their "expert" out that said some of those scratches were already there and they didn't make those. Now we were furious! I booked with this company for a cross country move from Minnesota to Idaho. I was told a price, that 3 people, and that my items would arrive 3-12 days after pick up. On June 6, two men arrived to pack my furniture with the 3rd arriving four hours later, but they did a good, efficient job. I was at my new home within 2 days to make sure if it came on the first day, I was there. It is now July 6- one month after my furniture was picked up and I am still waiting for it to arrive with no estimated day of arrival given to me. I was originally told it would be here by the 20th of June. A week before that, I was told it was delayed till the 30th of June. I called the Monday of that week to learn that it had not even left Minnesota yet and would be another week, arriving supposedly today, July 6th. That Friday I had to call again to get an update on the status of my furniture and learned that they were now not going to be leaving that weekend and did not know when they would have a driver for my stuff (apparently the driver they were going to use took another load because there wasn't room for my furniture). I called yesterday, July 5 to learn again that I supposedly have a driver again leaving either Friday or Saturday of this week but they could not tell me when next week it will arrive. To compensate for this extremely long wait, they have offered hotel and 50% food. They do have miscellaneous items they cover but are not upfront about them so it makes you unsure of what you can purchase or not that you will get reimbursed for. And on top of that, they have already billed my account for the move although they have not finished the job and when I asked them to remove it they said it would take too long and by the time it was removed, my furniture would arrive and they'd have to do it again. Overall, I would advise anyone thinking of using this company and moving to another state to be cautious as your things might not arrive for a LONG time! read more

i do not recommend action moving services. i hired them to move me across country to oregon and it was the move from hell.they knew well in advance my date for moving yet called just before and told me they were passing me on to another atlas mover.they arrived and without picking up boxes or even asking what was in them said it was more than the estimate. i was still cleaning up and picking and packing final items and didn't notice right away but they were moving my belongings outside and putting them on the sidewalk and boulevard.when i asked why they said they were waiting for a call back because the load was larger than they were told. the person who did the estimate was accurate,i even called to add more boxes because he hadn't included items not packed when he did the estimate. it took several hours before they got a call back from there office. when they put that person from action on the phone he started yelling at me, called me a liar and accused me of adding more items to my house.i had actually gotten rid of more items. they finally said that if i paid an extra $700 they would move me. amazing how it was the 10 % more than the estimate they could charge me. they broke items,didn't wrap items i was told they would, they didn't box my mattress and box spring although i paid for it and after sitting in a storage unit for several months while i looked for and bought a house i had to get rid of them because there were spiders in there and who knows what else. it was my understanding they had to box beds. i was told they wouldn't be leaving until sat or sun. i arrived at my destination on sunday, tried to call atlas on mon to see when my belongings would arrive and atlas said they didn't know where the driver was or if he had left or not. about an hour later the driver called and said they would arrive shortly. i hurried to the storage unit.the men who loaded and unloaded my items did not care about how they handled them. at one point they had me run to a store for gatorade and as i returned saw them throwing things down the ramp and the one box flipped over several times and flew off the ramp. they broke 15 photo frames,including two poster frames. they pulled a shelf off my lamp table and lost part of it so it is unusable. they pulled my coat rack in half although it was not meant to come apart and they did lose a box and some lawn and garden equipment. i contacted atlas twice but no response from them. my better business review got a response accusing me again of having over 40 boxes more than i had. when i corrected giving lines from the inventory and how many,many things were counted twice, three times and even four times they had no response. i do not recommend this company or its partner to anyone. read more
