Walked in and got a LOAN on my tv. The damn loan wasn't due until 9/4/19. Around the end of August I started getting weird notifications how someone was entering into my business email. Then here comes multpile transactions from Netflix. Guess what? They sold my tv!!! Not only did they sell it I still have the receipt in my hand dated for 9/4. They were even so kind as to not erasing my personal information from the damn thing before selling it. I asked to be compensated since I clearly had no intentions on selling. I was offered to purchase another tv from them full price. Get this they wanted interest off of my tv they sold! Worst part they have done this to me before and I was stupid enough to continue doind business with them hoping their business practices had changed.... NOPE!!! Do NOT spend your money with these people they are crooks. A simple contract that most Americans honor seems to be very difficult for these people. If I spend my last days in court I will because I'm suing. read more

Well what can I say this place is unbelievable. This store customer service should be and example for the whole city of Killeen. When you look up customer service excellence there should be a picture of this young lady (Monica). She is a true example of how treat customers and people and your needs. If ever I need anything my first stop is Action Pawn no.1 because I know I will be treated fairly. I have been shopping there for a real long time and the service and the smiles and the level of concern has not changed. This place is HUGE! They have damn near everything. Their music section is massive. Though I have a hard time understanding if all of the equipment is used or if they're also dealers. They have a lot of beginner and cheapie equipment to be expected located near a large military installation but now and again you can find some choice gear. read more

Terrible customer service! It took a lady about ten minutes to tell me I was in the wrong line, then I went to the right one and a different lady was open she didn't even look at me and walked away. So I asked a guy that was walking by if he was a manager he said Nope patted my shoulder then kept walking. I mean hello, maybe you could've asked if there was something I needed help with. Jeez, I did talk to a manager who took my complaint and apologized which was nice (the lady that was open was back still not acknowledging me) and the manager had to tell her to help me since she obviously wasn't paying attention. read more

I thought about working at this location when I saw a sign saying looking for help at firearms desk. I ha e experience, knowledge, education, background in sales and CS but Doug said he had no desire to interview me, I believe it was personal and too afraid to tell me the real reason or even give me the opportunity to dispell any doubts. This place of business doesn't have any integrity at all. I purchase a TV from these individuals and I literally bought it without a Base/tv and remote. It was a good deal so I went with it. So a few months later; I'm making an attempt to put the television on a small loan and they explained the store policy is to accept every TV with the Base and remote. I've purchased multiple firearms and musical equipment from this store. Never had any issues with the firearm and their prices are more than fair. I've had some faulty musical equipment and I never had any issues taking anything back within the 30day time frame. All they require is your final receipt. Most of the staff is pretty nice and to be honest I mostly deal with the guys in the back in the firearms area. I think some of the negative reviews are legitimate. However, the majority are the result of too many dumb a** customers in this area...One could say they are a fry short of a happy meal. read more

Total rip off! Bought jewelry here a year ago. Decided to sell it back for private reasons and they will not even give 1/10th what was paid for it claiming gold prices are down. I didn't do any bussiness there. And I wouldn't. While there were several employees and they all seemed very polite, the store was very clean and well lit, and there litterally is an amazing selection of items, EVERYTHING is way over priced. In my opinion of course. I truly believe you could get anything in that store somewhere else brand new for either just a little bit more, or in the cases with the firearms, alot less. I have nothing at all against Action Pawn, but I couldn't believe how expensive everything is. As my wife and I drove away, I was so dissapointed with how expensive everything was. I am in the market for a concealed carry pistol, and I will never go there again. It would be a waste of my time. read more

AWFUL AND VERY RUDE. I had items I was hoping that they would at least consider to look at and the gossiping girls at the front were very short and told me not to even bother with the items I was proposing to them. They barely heard me out about what I had in my vehicle to bring in. (bigger items...couldn't carry in initially). So, instead I went to Cash Pawn by Taco Bell and they treated me 100000x better. And they purchased all the items auction pawn was too good for. Go there. read more

I have been in here twice and both times found them to lack any customer service and to be very overpriced for a pawn shop. I make a trip to Killeen every couple months just to visit the pawn shops because they tend to be cheaper then where I live. This one is not and much of their stuff is junk. I did find a radio I wanted to buy only to discover it was on the shelf but not available yet - it had to wait out the holding period for the person that pawned it but you could put it on "layaway" - I don't think so I wanted it then. I did look at other items there but honestly it was so big it was like being at a regular store but with used stuff that might be in decent condition. I looked at guns because I want a hand gun but they are over priced even compared to Cabela's which is sad. I suggest you avoid here and go to the smaller Pawn Shops they are all up this one road with the exception of a smattering of ones elsewhere. Happy Hunting! read more

Yesterday I was hung up on many times. The late general manager told me he is not paying for my stolen item he has and that I am to pay for my stolen item after having police officer from Killeen Police Department found it there. I did not pawn it and after getting it stolen from me now I am forced to pay, when I just want my expensive item back that you have at Action Pawn on Ft. HOOD STREET. I believe the manager name was Greg Houser or something like that. He yelled at me saying he isn't paying it or giving it back after he found out he bought stolen property, making me feel like he didn't care about me and what I went through. I want corporate to know that God sees all things and his judgement day at the Pearly Gates is eternal so I pray he has a heart one day to actually care about the victims of the stolen property he buys after knowing it is stolen will not give back. I just hope he was raised properly because any human with a heart would bot have employees tell a customer to call back and when customer calls back he is not there on purpose. That is not management or Christian behavior. Karma means what goes around comes around and he is my going to get his one day. I hope in the future he not treat people like he treated me. I am trying to save the company from a greedy rude money unethical hungry selfish person they put up for the job. If I had a job like that I might be mad too,but don't punish the victims of criminal activity, go for the person you gave the money to is all I suggest. If a stolen item is found here from police just know that he will validate it is stolen and that he has is and he will make you pay for it to give it back. read more

These guys don't deserve all of the negative reviews in my opinion. I have been a repeat customer who gladly makes the 140 mile round trip whenever I need to make a purchase of music gear. I still am a frequent customer of Guitar Center in Austin, And San Antonio, but for 15 years I have dealt with them on major gear purchases because of the selection they offer, exceptional deals I have received from them, their dedication to customer service, and their willingness to bend in the customer's favor whenever possible, and frugal. Everytime I have been in their store, whether I made a purchase that day or not, I was left with the feeling that my business was important to them, and my satisfaction was their first priority. Because of this, over the years, I have purchased nine guitars, 2 amps, microphones, 2 sets of Pearl drums, and various other pieces of gear, all of which I still consider to have been good purchases at fair prices. John, the manager in the music department is knowledgable and extremely helpful, customer oriented, and has always worked hard to get me what I needed, even remembering an item I needed, finding it, or phoning me later when they obtained what I was looking for. I can honestly say, I have never been unhappy with my dealings with Action Pawn, or anyone of their employees, and have always felt that they sincerely appreciated my business. Maybe the negative comments were meant for their other store in Killeen... I've never been in that store, and have no reason to venture there as I have a successful business. Relationship with Action Pawn #1.They deserve my loyalty due to the positive history we have had, and will continue. To John and all the guys and gals at AP#1...
