A little misleading, if you do the hour Jet ski rental you can only ride in a somewhat small area up and down the river despite their website saying they offer the "largest riding area" and "ocean riding" I was under the assumption that me and my wife would be able to ride up to the inlet and hit the ocean but when I arrived they told me that was only for the 2 hour dolphin tour (he also said they went out that morning and there were no dolphins). The staff were nice seemed like mostly younger kids. Overall I just wish I had known I would be limited to such a small riding area. We made the best of it and still had a fun time but after about 30 minutes of going back and forth it left a little more to be desired. read more

Our group had two rental days. The first day we rented three jet skis with four people. The trip was awesome. We did the two hour guided trip and our guide was Ben. He was very friendly, made you feel totally comfortable riding the jet skis and did what ever he could to make your trip enjoyable. This is the fourth time we have rented the jet skis and every time it was a great trip. The second day we rented a pontoon boat for an early evening trip. This you do not need a guide and the trip we had was awesome. We stopped before the trip and got sandwiches to eat along the way. Had a 12:30 reservation. Showed up and the place was swamped. We ended up waiting 90 minutes past 12:30 to even get on a jet ski. It was our last day at the beach so pretty much wasted 3 hours for what was supposed to be a 30 minute jet ski ride. I'm not even sure how it's possible because it was an online booking system but it was obvious they overbooked multiple time slots. When I complained the staff was nice enough but I could tell they were used to being hours behind so they didn't really care. Would not recommend. I arranged a pontoon rental over the phone and that all went well. However, when we arrived there was chaos at the dock/office. There are jet ski rental people, dolphin cruise ship people boarding and pontoon boat rentals all bunched together in a tiny area and no one seems to know what's going on. The staff was cursing another marina because they wouldn't let their boats come in and fuel up (not sure why they couldn't fuel up at their own pumps). We finally were boarded on our boat after much confusion and given a basic orientation which was fine, but then they take the paper from you that has directions on where to go once you get north. When we got back, we were charged $20 for gas even though the website clearly stated that gas was included. When I questioned the charge, I was told in a surly manner that it was clearly on the paperwork I signed (but he couldn't produce a copy of that paperwork) and with all the next round of confusion of people boarding and renting I didnt argue the point any longer. read more

Our jet ski dolphin tour started out great-- the intercoastal waterway is beautiful and so fun to ride on. However, when we got to the ocean, it was tougher to maneuver. It wasn't super choppy, but noticeably more so compared to the intercoastal waterway. My boyfriend hit a wave and fell off his ski and when he was able to get back on, myself and the guide were out of sight. I also didn't notice he had fallen off because I was trying to keep up with the guide (he was almost out of my sight a few times.) Eventually, the guide went back to look for my boyfriend and we could not locate him for about 30 minutes. It was terrifying -- we literally could not find him anywhere and we were out in the ocean. We were told to leave our cellphones in the car, so we had no way of getting in touch with him or locating him. Thankfully, my boyfriend stayed calm (I did not) and made his way to a parasailing boat to ask for help. After we located him, we went back. Our guide kept saying this had never happened before and I could tell he was a little shaken up by the whole thing, so I did feel bad for him. Needless to say, I did not see any dolphins, but we definitely have quite the story to tell about how one of us was lost at sea on vacation. read more

Called at 9 am and was told nothing about a reservation but to come between 1 and 5. Got to the window around 1:30 pm and finished all the paperwork at 1:45. Waited 30 minutes to watch groups of people get on boats and jet skis. Finally after 45 minutes of waiting, we knew we had dinner reservations and to travel home and get ready so we were going to get our card and not go out anymore. As we got to the window to get our card back we were swarm with questions, first regarding why were not going out anymore. In which we explained we had been waiting for 45 minutes and we have a reservation for dinner and we would be cutting it close on time. This was followed up with "dinner at 2pm?" It's amazing how someone's tone can change so quickly. We came to patronize this place last year while at black bike week and had an amazing experience, this year was a little different. We came back this year during black bike week with a group of 10 excited and ready to jet ski. Our instructor was Carson and he began giving us the rundown of the rules (which of course we've heard before but we know the spill), Carson's tone was borderline offensive kind of like he was bothered and did not want to deal with our group. Although we paid our money and know how to follow directions just like everyone else. At the end of him giving all of the rules one of our group had to literally ask "well you've said everything we can't do, but what can we do?!" It seemed like everything was said except have fun lol. A little while later Carson had came back to give the rules to another smaller group and his tone had completely changed, had a little pep in his step and spoke to them completely differently than he spoke to my group, he only told them half of what he told our group and told them okay well that's basically it! So at this point I'm just listening and had to speak up and tell Carson that he missed some things, and he looks over and begins to tell them everything he told my group. Maybe Carson was just having an off day, but he should never treat one customer better than the next. read more

The dolphin ride was on a rougher day and they made sure to follow all precautions & made sure everyone was following the rules. As long as you listen & respect the rules, its gonna be a fun time! Their prices are also better than the competitors. Fun facts: you are in the channel for the 30min & 1hr long rides. That being said, its good for all ages!! The dolphin ride is halfway in a channel, the rest in the ocean! If i could recommend one thing, it would be the hour long ride. 30 min would be okay but 1hr to get the bang for your buck! Dolphin ride was also very fun and we saw sooooo many dolphins! Amazing experience! Id highly recommend this place. After trying to rent jet skis at a place that had closed, we figured we'd give this place a try. The front desk workers were sort of dicks to us and the other staff. Luckily we got Lauren as our tour guide and she made the experience a positive one. She was knowledgeable about the jet skis and where to look for dolphins. She made sure to take us to a few places to ensure that we saw dolphins. And we saw quite a few. At least 15. In summary, even though our guide was great, I would not recommend this place due to the bad attitudes of all of the staff. read more

I now know why the other local pontoon boat rentals were booked full and action wasn't. First of all, the pontoon boat had no canopy! I got sunburnt all day and they failed to ever mention that the canopy was previously "broken off by other renters" when I booked the trip which have definitely played a role in where u rented from. Additionally, they did nothing about the broken canopy and still charged me full price. Also, the front swing door was missing in the pontoon boat as well which is a major hazard. The front door also stops incoming waves from landing in the boat and possibly capsizing it, which nearly happened when we had a yacht pass by. If I had no prior boat experience, which they let people with no boat experience rent, then that pontoon boat very well could have capsized. To top it all off, when I got back they complained that I used a ton of gas and charged me extra, which was also never discussed or on paper. I responded by pointing out that with no canopy, driving all day was the only thing keeping everyone on the boat cool but they didn't care and didn't offer any discount. Instead they asked for a tip! Overall, pontoon boat rental is a great fun idea, but I will definitely be taking my business to myrtle beach pontoon boat rentals or the one in ocean isle read more

Wow, I hadn't been jet skiing in years and had a blast. Honestly though, I was a nervous wreck driving that thing at first. We chose the dolphin tour, we went WAY out in the middle of the ocean (which come to find out you do not need to do to see dolphins) on a busy memorial day weekend. I've never seen such big waves and other jet ski tours out. Was way to busy. Myself and another person in our group were a bit nervous so our guide kindly suggested another ride. We went closer to shore and had a blast at that time. I relaxed, there was less traffic and the waves were manageable. I'd go again, but would not choose the dolphin tour. read more
