Earlier this week I found myself in a position of finding a reputable body shop for my poor Chevy Cruze after it was part of a minor accident. And seeing as though I am not a fan of body shops, I would have avoided doing so at all costs. HOWEVER, due to the fact that my car is on a lease (a lease that ends in a month!!) I had no choice but to find a shop to fix my chevy. About a year and a half ago I used this shop to paint the top of my 2006 Toyota Tundra. The truck is my family road trip vehicle and had started loosing the clear coat on the roof so it looked like it had perpetual dandruff. I stopped by this shop on a whim. After a quick conversation I agreed to bring the truck back for the work. The turn around was as expected and the price was more than reasonable. Three weeks ago I took the truck back to have the whole thing painted. The hood was especially bad--it had been pitted and dinged from thousand of miles of touring the western half of the U.S. The work was professional grade, well done, completed on time, and done for a very reasonable price. I have a Chevrolet SSR with custom flames on it done by an artist in Chicago. My girlfriend backing the car out of the garage hit the side of the garage damaging the fender and bumper. I did not want to have the flames redone as they would never be able to match them properly so I wanted to get the fender redone without replacing it, and at the same time not damaging the flames. As i always do, I got three estimates. The first told me $2000-2500 and said most of the flames would be painted over , the second said I could not save the flames and that the only way to do it was to replace the fender and bumper, and then I brought it to Fadi who has done work for me two times before and he said he thought he could save the majority of them and his estimate was $1350. So, he promised me 5 days and I gave him the job. He called me and kept me informed after day 1 and after day 2 he said he thought he could wrap it up the next day. Anyway, by noon of day 3 he called and said it was done and I would be happy. When I got there he was able to save the flames and did an absolute superb job with the repair. These guys are truly exceptional. I had an appraisal on my car through insurance and the adjuster wouldn't quote me when I wanted pre existing damage taken care of with the claim she said they would let me know later. I cashed out the claim and went to active. This was my second time doing business with active. Fadi was personable and professional during the estimate. Very affordable quote and I got all of my concerns addressed and beautifully repaired. There is no hint of orange peel in the paint and it looks just like new if not better. I enjoy doing business with them so much I supported them in the smallest way I could by bringing cash because I know the credit card companies charge a small percentage to the business that I would rather they kept. The time to repair was a little bit longer than the previous shop quoted which helps me know they take their time and do a good job. They also found a incidental behind the bumper and Fadi called me immediately and sent me pictures to my cell and went over my options with me. Last but not least I picked up the car from Fadi's brother and Fadi called me the same day to check in on my overall satisfaction. Hopefully I don't need body work done often but if I do it's nice to know I have a place, wouldn't take my cars anywhere else! read more

Every time I went by to check the status of my pickup, there were new employees, having replaced the prior ones that just decided to not shop up for work (that was told to me by one of them). So I was referred here by a friend and man what a great spot this is. I was helped by a really nice gentleman named Fadi and he was so helpful. My 2005 Blue 4runner was painted by these guys, and not only was it the worst paint job in the history of paint, but they then denied that i was even a customer. Whatever you do NEVER deal with either of these shops( they have 2 locations) and just know that the 5 star review on here is Shadi, the OWNER of this business. What a scoundrel. The paint that was done there blows off of my car when i drive from place to place in huge pieces. I hope people take my advice and never get screwed by these guys. We have been battleing with these guys over a HORRIBLE paint job through the better business bureau for the last couple of months, and they have tried every trick in the book to skirt their responsibilities. Stay away from these guys, its not worth the headache! They wont honor any kind of warranty and they even called and threatened us to drop our complaint with the BBB or they would make sure that we never got our car fixed!!! Meanwhile my car has spots where the new paint fell off and there isnt even any primer underneath and rust spots are starting to appear. They told me on the phone that "they werent going to go broke to make me happy". So I always see this shop when I am on the 78 west and looked them up, turns out they have 2 locations (San Marcos and Escondido) I decided to give them a try.The owner is very nice and professional, and so are the employees, I was offered coffee and given a brief tour.
