After a lot of Yelp research, I found Escondido Auto Tech. I brought my vehicles for a smog and got great service each time. Found them easy to work with too. Next, I brought in my car for maintenance and a list of repairs and items to check on. Let me not bore with the mundane details, just know: -they took good care of the car, addressing every item on my list. -Frank, the service manager, took the time to discuss the list of repairs with me and explained what they would do-to make sure we were on the same page with everything. He listens! I checked Yelp and went with AAMCO based on reviews. Free tow of my dead van to their location, and an estimate for a rebuild that was almost half of the other location. Went with it, and it was complete in less than a week. As it turned out, I had to move a family member out of state later that week, so it was going to be a real test. Filled a 5x8 U-Haul with furniture and drove back from AZ with no problem. Then, loaded it down even further, added a passenger, and drove to Portland. Made it up all the mountains and didn't even blink. EXCELLENT job on my tranny rebuild. Couldn't be happier. Give these guys a shot - they do good work.

I normally bring my car to the dealership in Mission Valley but recently service has been dishonest and cost are extremely high. Jason and the Aamco team quoted a very reasonable price and work seem to be top notch. During the work they pointed out a crack in Air intake valve. It was not a required work now but I chose to take care of it. Aamco also pointed out some minor leak/concerns with one of the tire axels. I was very pleased with the entire service, cost, and quality of work.
