He looked me in my eye the whole time and came in and greeted me with a fist bump. I was hesitant to make an appt with anyone because earlier in the year I had seen Dr. Weingold and felt rushed out and also because I didn't want to have surgery pushed as a solution. Dr. Taylor answered all of my questions. He never pushed surgery or PT. He did say that injections could be a treatment if the pain did not diminish over time. I would strongly recommend seeing him.

To top it off, I bring in my service animal, not only a certified service animal through his previous handler but also I have my own service paperwork from my own doctors I got in April so he's 100000% a service animal. Always has been always will be. I bring him in once he does OK. the second time, I make a PUBLIC observation about how I see his behavior helping my physical therapy recovery, and--I acknowledge with both myself and out loud to the therapist--that I am not interested in having him be there while I'm there because I saw it as a distraction to myself. Additionally, before the session even started, the therapist had previously asked if he was a service animal and I had said he's absolutely a service animal. Following that observation, as I left that appointment, I also said in agreement one more time--"this is the last time that you guys will be seeing him. I think that this is my time for myself." So then a day or two later, my tooth is gone. I'm at the dentist office in the middle of an emergency dental surgery and this inane manager calls me and once again reiterates-- not only what you had already instructed the therapist to tell me at the beginning of the session that happened the days before, but also to reiterate, that he's not a service animal and that he should not be at the facility. & at this point it's flown past like a potential misunderstanding and it's just professionalism. You're an unprofessional institution. You are very aware of the communication that you have with your clients and you also are aware of what age you and I both are. I'm not a child and you are not my parent. if we have already agreed to something it is just that. So for you to call me in the middle of an emergency, and reiterate a point as though I'm a petulant child...you're unprofessional and just not a safe space for people to recover safely. I think that people who are in the business of physical recovery should be interested in promoting a safe space of uplifting energy, and frankly vulnerability and hope, and you're not safe. You don't feel safe. You don't feel like a place of anything other than judgment and like dismissiveness. To top it off as I'm ending my relationship with this location and trying to transfer to another location, the manager starts asking me questions regarding information that I've only ever told my therapist! It's insanely invasive and it's insanely disrespectful because you've now thrown back the information that I've said in safety to the person that's helping me in recover as a way to start a conversation aka trying to backtrack and mend the relationship. Ha! we're past that now. I have no interest in recommending this facility to anybody. I honestly think that you should do your due diligence and research before coming to this institution, particularly this location. I think that this should be a lesson to their facility as a whole in professionalism. Professionalism is not a choice. It is the business that you are in and you are in a very specific spot where vulnerability is non negotiable. You have power over people that are in their lowest moments and depending on you for safety, so you should probably think about that the next time this location is advertises that it is professional and supportive, because you're not.

I had a 2-level cervical spinal fusion with rare complications, so I am very special to say the least, lol. First off, let me start by saying I am already familiar with Inova Physical Therapy because my son had to have PT for a pulled hamstring, and we used the Fairfax/Prosperity location. The PTs were great with him and he especially really liked Josh, but the office manager was consistently so rude to clients & staff that it was enough to make me not want to go back there ever again, even though it is a bigger facility (side-note: she's so awful that she is negatively referenced in their location's reviews several times)! Now for the awesome Annandale location: This is my first experience with the Annandale location and I absolutely love it! The facility is clean, and being located inside the Audrey Moore Rec Center gives them the luxury of access to the gym as well as the swimming pool for aquatic therapy. There is plenty of parking and plenty to do; whether you're by yourself or someone comes with you. The actual PT room itself is very intimate & there are never more than 2 clients overlapping at a time. I have had the pleasure of doing my PT with Vanessa, Katie, and Spencer, all of whom are wonderful. Vanessa did my initial evaluation and could not have been any sweeter; Katie is extremely knowledgeable in the different modalities of therapy & Spencer is highly trained to do dry-needling. All three of them are genuinely so kind, caring, and considerate. They really take their time to get to know you, your situation, and your specific needs. They tailor everything they do, every step of the way and constantly modify to ensure you're reaching your goals at a comfortable, pain-free pace. From beginning to end, they are very thorough and clearly explain everything to you, giving you an understanding of what's going on and how it will affect your body and its healing. I could not be more pleased with my progress so far and am always happy to go see them. I really feel so good when I leave; both mentally & physically. If you need PT or are in anyway apprehensive about PT, look no further, this is most definitely the place to go!

It is a very small facility but the staff is well equipped, educated, professional, respectful, with a great sense of humor. Spencer and Katie encourage their patients while learning PT. Dominique is always welcoming and helps with scheduling, insurance, and payments. I appreciate receiving a personal home program from the therapists at each visit. After ten visits twice a week, Spencer believes I am doing well enough to just come once a week and continue with the home program.

I used to walk by this rolling into Planet Fitness, and think, "I hope not to end up in there."…read moreHaving been through a number of knee surgeries, ski accidents, hernias, and more the moment has arrived. My family doctor raved about this practice, as I met him after a unfortunate double black diamond slope. Definitely don't go 40 mph to 0mph at complete stopping speed. Physics in this case is "problematic." While I did appreciate the snowmobile ride, from a truly nutty firefighter I had heard of, next year hoping no encore will be happening. This incident left my back spasms, and some lovely contusions I believe they are called. My doc gave me some muscle relaxers, which were similar to Mike Tyson punching me in the face. Also he had the unfortunate experience, of my gluteus Maximus in the air, administering a muscle relaxer that way. Needles tend not to affect me, but it looked like it was for a horse. While I did grow a mane and a tail, it was only a temporary side effect. When I walked in here, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Yet the suspicious/skeptical part of me, wasn't sold quite yet as I just wasn't sure a chiropractor would be able to do anything. As a man I'll never admit to being wrong due to man laws, but my thoughts were incorrect. All of the staff here are great, as the office and medical folks are a lot of fun. There's a lot of positivity here, and they with the electrical machinery, ultrasound, and electric shock collar have changed things a lot. Ok the electric shock collar is a joke. The wonderful ladies here, reminded me an important lesson from my days as a student athlete. Stretching is important. While I'll trade my hamstrings for a pack of $5 Chuck wine from Trader Joe's, they've helped loosen these up. Light jogs and workout sessions are proving the strings are working better. No back spasms since going here. Dr Finch is awesome. She is truly caring, and has after getting me to relax, feel a lot younger than my bald head and greying hair may indicate. The first sessions were ok, yet every appointment gets better and better. Today she did a maneuver on my neck, and yes I am back to being 25 again. Am a very grateful man. After Dr Persauds constant fighting my Scottish tenacity with the benefits of diet change, plus these sessions at this office, I'm feeling much better. The main goals at this point of life are to support my 13 year old son, and to find my next ex wife. Thanks to the combined help of Virginia Family Medicine, and this wonderful practice, this benevolent bad boy is one step closer to being at 100%. Thank you to the folks here, as my hats off in respect to Dr Finch and all here. Based on how I feel about them, I have recommended them to my folks. One word: Superb…read more I'm not one to be easily impressed. So when I say I found Dr. Kim's approach to be thorough and impressive--that statement Carrie's tremendous weight. She's a brilliant individual and physician, and I thank the heavens for her! She's a truly exceptional physician in several ways. To begin with, her reassuring bedside manner is imbued with the kind of warmth, natural ease and calm confidence you would hope all physicians were made of, but rarely are. She makes it incredibly easy to discuss matters with her, and at no point in the appointment did I detect the doctor-patient power differential. It was a very healthy communicative dynamic where I felt completely at ease, heard, seen, understood, acknowledged and validated. She genuinely wanted to understand my experience and the struggles that ail me. She assumed nothing and listened with great care and attention, asking all the pertinent questions. She didn't miss a beat, not a single one. She's exceptionally bright, insightful and possesses a diagnostic prowess that is uncanny. She took the time to properly assess my current ongoing issues, and as equally and thoroughly went over my medical history, labs and other diagnostics, and delved into my childhood ails. Suffering from a series of complex health issues turned chronic, that none of the many top-notch doctors I had seen prior to her even came close to addressing; she, however, was able to give me the sense of clarity and empowerment I needed. She was able to inform me as to what the actual underlying issues, concerns and future implications were, how they were addressable and can be overcome, and presented me with clear options for treatment approaches for best outcomes, and explained here's why. She reintroduced peace and ease to my mind, heart and body. She even held space for me to be able to express my very real, well-founded fears and frustration, and took the time to address them with immense sensitivity and subtlety in her verbal and non-verbal language, and succeeded in putting those fears to rest, whilst rendering me with the courage to face what is to come with resilience, and an a positive attitude and outlook. She's truly inspirational. I felt an immense admiration and respect for her ability in being able to cultivate that response and courage within me. Most physicians miserably fail in this area. She excelled. The finesse in her emotional intelligence and agility makes most others physicians look like emotionally-dense amateurs. Her integrative, holistic approach came as a huge relief because it meant she was examining everything through multiple lenses to gain a well-rounded perspective for an effective, life-affirming cure. She openly discusses her thought process and the modalities she's employing in her assessment and treatment approach with you, so you're in the know. This enables you to begin developing an understanding of your bioindividual health dynamics. Her approach addressed me in my entirety as a whole person--my physical, mental, and emotional health, and psychosocial, energetics and spirit-affirming well-being, that honored me being authentic and true to who I am. By the end of the session she had throughly explained to me the likely root causes of the disease processes and manifestations, and what led to compromising my gut, digestion, metabolism, immune system etc. and where I am currently within the trajectory of my chronic disease manifestations. I felt the burden and disappointment I had been carrying around from being failed by prior medical approaches prior to meeting her almost completely lift off my shoulders by the end of the appointment with her, and left feeling I could finally take a deep breathe with ease again, as the stress and tension my body had been carrying around began to release and dissipate. I finally felt I'm in the right hands, receiving the right care and the right solutions were underway. My inner knowing was that I'm on my way to regaining my health, vitality and functionality, and with that, finally being able to reclaim my life and joy in a very real way. I left feeling empowered, grateful and hopeful. Above all, it was the most validating experience a person struggling with chronic illnesses can receive. Thank you Dr. Kim! You're a Rockstar! P.S. PROS: Dr. Kim is one of the most genuine, kind, gentle, and…read morenon-judgmental doctor out there. She is not a pediatrician but majority of her patients are kids. I have been taking my little one to her since 4 months old. We went to her because we did not feel comfortable with vaccinating our baby at such young age. She explained to us her vaccine plan and told us that she would support us no matter what we choose for our baby (vaccinate or not). In addition to prescribing medicine, she also has knowledge about alternative remedies that when used correctly have worked for us. I am also personally seeing her for my Hashimoto's. I have been able to reduce my antibodies significantly since seeing her. I also like that she offers alternative lab testing which allows you to see a more holistic view of your body's status. The lab work that she recommends (but does not force on her patients because of the cost) looks at the levels of various minerals and vitamins that most conventional doctors do not check. However, those are vital to check at least once a year to gain some assurance that your body is in balance and there won't be any issues down the road. CONS: I have noticed that she is not very clear on how some of the remedies should be used. Often times I've had to look them up myself and do some personal research. It was a bit frustrating at the beginning but I was still happy because she gave me options and through my own research, asking her questions via e-mail (she is very responsive), I am able to make my own informed decision on how to treat my baby's illness at the time.
