I was asked to sit in the waiting room where another disheveled woman called me in ... her shirt was incredibly wrinkly, her hair was a mess like she just rolled out of bed. While she was starting the exam I asked "are you the doctor" she said "yes" I was a bit taken aback. She didnt ask me why I was there, didn't ask if I was in for anything in particular and didn't even introduce herself. She finished and literally sent me to the waiting room. Didn't go over results, didn't tell me if my prescription had changed ... didn't ask me about my needs. Which until this moment I forgot I wanted to talk to her about allergies and eye drops. Another gal called me back to the lobby. She just went right into what my insurance covered and that was it. I had to ask her opinion on the frames I chose, I had to ask her what I was being charged for as they were insanely expensive ... not what the commercials advertise at all. Again, I had to say to her "can you help me find a frame that will work with this prescription" I ended up buying one pair from them and bringing the prescription to Costco up the street where I had incredible one on one attention and bought two other pairs for the price of their one

Last year I had an eye exam somewhere else and I left with glasses that were unwearable because they were too strong. (I had the worst headaches) So this year we switched to The Village Eye care and we could not be happier. They charge extra fees for services they don't even properly provide and will nickel-and-dime you. I went in for a contact lens exam and was charged a contact lens evaluation fee, which felt completely unjustified because Holt didn't actually evaluate anything. After paying the exam copay, evaluation fee, and refraction fee, I noticed the prescription they gave me was only changed by 0.5 from my previous prescription. What bothered me most was that Holt never mentioned the prescription change, never explained why it was changed, and never offered trial lenses or asked me to test the new power to see if it worked better. None of that happened. When I got home and noticed the change, I called the office. They told me that if Holt didn't discuss it during the appointment, I would need to schedule another appointment just to ask about it. That's completely unacceptable. We were charged extra for services they claimed to provide but clearly did not. I would not recommend going there. If you do decide to make an appointment, call ahead and ask for a full breakdown of every possible charge, otherwise they'll hit you with unexpected fees.

She is very interested in any questions you have and in solving any eye problems you are having. She is friendly and patient. She tested my eyes thoroughly. Then we discussed glasses options and made a selection. When I got my glasses they were the best I have had in years. There was a slight problem with glancing to the left. After a few days I called Dr. Kwok and told her about it. She knew exactly what to do and fixed the problem. Now my glasses are perfect!
