So our plumbing went out, what you call a stoppage. We went through our Select Home Warranty company. I originally called on Wednesday, February 19. I was not able to get a plumber, Active Plumbing and Rooter, until Monday, February 24. That's five days, where we didn't have a way to shower, a way to go to the bathroom, even our sink would push sewage water to overflow the toilet and sewage water would come up out of the floor drain of the shower somehow. I don't understand how that happens but it seems like it's all interconnected. We had to go to the restroom at the park down the street and sewage water got all over our floors in both restrooms. Five days is a long time to wait. On top of that, it was considered two separate claims, (stoppage and toilet leak) so we had to pay TWICE (the service fee) and our technician.Taylor told us that Select Home Warranty wouldn't cover the toilet leak so we actually had to pay for one of those jobs OUT OF POCKET! Edit: Oh wow, I just found out they lied to me too. They told me they are not open on the weekends and that's why I had to wait two extra days. John G identified the issue and quickly resolved it. I don't mean to insinuate that the resolution was simple bc it definitely wasn't. Nevertheless he made absolutely sure that the problem was resolved and thoroughly tested before finishing the job. He was extremely professional. He made sure to describe in detail what was done. If you have any plumbing needs big or small I would highly recommend Active plumbing. We had a couple water leaks with out outdoor faucets and we called them and they came the next day. While our plumber was there my husband asked him to also look at a brand new toilet that was continually running off and on. He said that it was a manufacturer issue and he would take it back to Home Depot for us and get a new one. We made an appointment for the next week for him to come back and he was on time just as he was the previous time and did what he said. Nobody likes a leak. My laundry taps started leaking not too long ago, and it was getting tedious having to bail out the strategically-placed bucket we had to collect the drips. I contacted my home warranty company and they set Active Plumbing & Rooter out to inspect the issue and get it resolved. I was first visited by Chris, who evaluated the situation and submitted the info for the claim. A couple of weeks later, Active Plumbing contacted me again to set up an appointment to replace the taps. Another plumbing technician, Nathan, showed up well within the time window specified, and got to work. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Not only did he solve the problem with new taps, he also replaced the flanges / surrounds behind the taps so the whole isntallation looked brand-spanking new. No leaks, and the work was done in under an hour, and with a smile. I have a feeling I will be using Active Plumbing going forward for all of my plumbing needs at my house. The dispatchers were very friendly and helpful, they gave me a 2 hour window of arrival time. I requested a call when they would be in the way and actually got a call letting me know my technician would arrive within 30mins. This allowed me to continue my day and not have to be stuck at home waiting for someone to show up. Other companies I've dealt with say they will call and dont). The technician arrived about 15 mins after the call, clean kept and a great attitude with a smile on his face. He diagnosed my toilets problem and replaced the fill valve and within 15 mins had fixed my problem and given me an invoice and was on his way.
