They don't take business papers nor books

They don't recycle business papers or books like the sign states I've been to many recycling place I won't be back

Came here to drop off cardboard boxes.

I love ordering from Amazon because of the shipping convenience, but having to break down boxes every week, and trying to stuff the boxes into my recycling bin which always over exceeds the space I have struggled to rid my boxes week after week. I finally found a place where I can dump the boxes and earn some cash/change, but honestly I'd rather not pick up the the chump change earnings and just rid the boxes to have space in my garage. As I looked across, I see trucks unloading appliances, I can only guess that this is the place where junk removal for large appliances come to cash out. I find it very interesting, and now I know where to go to rid of large recyclables.

Active recycling is one of the best recycling plants in Alhambra and Los Angeles. Clean maintains a good report with these customers. And it pays every day the best place in town.

Always helpful and friendly. If you are handicapped, display your placard as you drive into the yard.

This place is great for environmentally conscious people. Just drive to the back and dump your cardboard.

I guess I bought too many things on Amazon, because I had a HUGE pile of cardboard and didnt know what to do with it.

They only take plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and drink glass bottles. I was denied milk gallon bottles and empty glass sauce jars. Aluminum cans $1.65 by weight When I come here during the weekday afternoons, it's always so busy. They have a water dispenser and hand sanitizer on a small table by the sidewalk. The bins they use for sorting are super light and netted. This means anything smaller than 3 inches will fall out.

It's in the same plaza as Ralphs, off of Emerson Ave. This isn't my usual recycling place. So it was a surprise to me to find out that they accept wine bottles and even those Ragu jars! (Be sure to clean the inside since the workers have to break it down themselves.) My regular recycling center didnt take those so I've been just tossing it in the trash. (My garbage company says they will separate it out but somehow I am skeptical.) Since finding this place, I've been bringing all of my wine bottles and glass jars here. As for the value when it comes to these glass items, I'm not sure if I am getting a fair price or not since I have nothing to compare it to. But at least in my situation, I am getting a little something instead of absolutely nothing when I toss it in the trash. The lines go quickly at this location. It's definitely a shorter wait time compared to my usual place. And the staff here are friendly. I've been back and will keep coming back!

I had recyclables sitting in my car for days because it had been pouring rain all week, and most centers close when it rains. If I had known this one was partially indoors, I would have come sooner! It's a little tricky to get in and out because the entrance is small, but the staff was quick, helpful, and really nice. Overall, a good experience once you're inside.

Went on a Sunday morning around 11. I was able to pull into the lot, which has space for 3-4 cars. Unloaded my 4 bags of recyclables into their containers. The staff was friendly but the other patrons were all men who gave the side eye like I had intruded into a men only area. Instead of being men and helping a girl out, all they did was glare. Many reviews stated that the staff was rude and shortchanged them. I cannot say that was my experience. I was nicely greeted by the staff and was given my accurate amount ($17.23 which is comparable to what I used to get). If you lost your recycling center, this is a reasonable alternative. Note that they don't have anywhere to wash your hands that I was able to find so you may get a little dirty in the process. If you can't pull into the lot, there was ample street parking.

Evolution Recycling - I got $63 for all my cans and plastic bottles.

I brought a small dolly with glass bottles and a little bit of plastic bottles and 4 cans (which i gave to someone who collected more than me). Pro tip: separate your glass by color. Brown, green, clear, etc. Prior to coming to this location. They also do not accept milk cartons and olive oil glass bottles. They separate their glass by color, and if you dont have them separated, they will make you do it there. The only hard part is that you can't separate them until they have bins available for you to use and separate them. Suggestions: you may want to bring some ear plugs because the clinging of the glasses can pierce your ear drums. A hat is always nice because they only have one canopy to provide shade. A small portable chair to sit as you wait for others to turn theirs in and maybe a fan of some sort for the hot days. They dont have many trash cans to throw away your bags or cardboard boxes, so you may need a clean bag to store all these and dispose of it at a later time. Hand sanitizer or gloves because you will be grabbing dirty trash cans or these wired baskets as you bring your piles to the guy. They weigh your piles by categories and pay you cash in the end. Carry some spare change, some of each would be good (pennies, dimes, nickles, quarters) because they may just round up and give you a solid bill.
