Katz is located behind the Police station near downtown Lancaster in a corner lot, very unassuming from the street but when you walk through the door you are taking back by a 50s style diner look and feel. As we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff, we were seated right away, the restaurant was very busy, we walked in around 10am. Even with a full house of guests, we only waiting a few minutes to get our food. What a great experience. As soon as we were seated a very upbeat and friendly waitress shared the menus and took our drink orders. The menu has so many options, some common breakfast, lunch and Dinner style plates. We ordered the Remember the Alamo omelette, wow, great tasting green salsa pork filled omelette with cheese, served with your choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and toast, I ordered a side of bacon, this is a must try dish. My brother ordered the Big Bopper served with a giant chicken fried steak, potatoes, gravy with eggs served your way, bring an appetite it is a huge portion of food. We also noticed a large plate of gigantic pancakes, a huge burger and fries dish, we will certainly be coming back and sharing our experience with our friends and family.

Service is as good, food is delicious and big portions, the service is fast and friendly. Nice small spot to have a relaxing breakfast, lots of options to choose from.

Food's a 3, service is a 5. Our waitress was lovely - really friendly and helpful. The place has great old-school diner vibes. Corned beef hash was the best thing I had. Hash brown was cold, cheese didn't melt, and the steak was lukewarm and chewy. I didn't mention it at the time, so they never had the chance to fix it. I'd still give them another try, but I'd stick with the corned beef hash next time.

What a fun diner! Anytime my husband and I are on a road trip, we always love to check out a local diner. This one definitely hit the spot. We split the tuna melt and Ortega burger. Both were yummy, but the Ortega burger stole the show. The meat was so flavorful and the toppings were fabulous. We also got potato salad and coleslaw. The cole slaw was a bit dry, but the potato salad was fantastic. I almost ordered another scoop. The service was friendly and the ambiance was jammed packed! If we would have arrived 5 minutes later, we wouldn't have gotten a seat! We arrived around 9 am on a Sunday morning. I called ahead to make sure the entire menu was available, not just breakfast.

Great food and amazing service. Everyone here is so nice. It's very crowded on sundays so there might be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. I had the pancake breakfast and it was great, the pancakes melted in my mouth. Such a great local spot. Street parking.

My family and I love Katz and Jammers! It's our second time here. The food is excellent, fresh and well prepared. I had the Dagwood sandwich which had the best roast beef (it's cooked in-house)! The food portions are very generous. The ambience is truly that of a classic dinner. The staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond to please their customers. If you're ever in Antelope Valley I highly recommend you stop by.

What a treat! I love the atmosphere of this little spot, retro feel and great service! A great family experience and we will be back! The food was delicious and prompt.

Line going out the door. Needless to say, the staff took care of everyone with a smile!

Started our 2025 Valentines Day weekend and got my wife a little pick me up service was amazing as always and although there was a line out the door and every seat taken inside, we were taken care of pretty quickly! Thanks to the staff and the two cooks kicking butt behind the scenes!

Here on a Wednesday around 1:00. They do open up early and close around 2:00 p.m. It's conveniently located in downtown Lancaster. They have their own parking lot in the back. It's a 50s style dinner and the decor and vibe is really cool. There was plenty of seating when we arrived which was awesome. Benjamín, was our server and he took great care of us. The food was okay and kind of bland but the service was great. Thank you!

The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. The Reuben looked and tasted amazing, also served with a large portion of fries, one of the nice touches on this sandwich was the grilled Pastrami, this was a nice touch, its also served with sauerkraut & Swiss cheese on Rye.
