Patrick and his team exceeded expectations. The attention to detail and clear communication were the highlights. Most importantly, they delivered what they said they would with no surprise costs or issues. I would highly recommend Acura roofing to anyone who is looking for honesty and value! There are so many options out there, but based on my experience as well as that of friends/neighbors, these guys seem to always deliver.

This review is a long-time coming - I hired Acura 2 years back to replace a roof WAY past its prime and to do extra work around the chimney where I was experiencing a major leak. The project grew in scope due to the poor condition of the decking and they took several pictures for me to look at before they started anything additional. I wasn't really taken by suprise by any of it I KNEW the decking was going to need help along with the soffits and eaves. They brought in a contractor that they normally work with to problem-solve the chimney and rebuild the exterior of it and try to divert rainwater to avoid future damage. The roof looks really great - my house is such that you mostly see a huge amount of the roof from the front and so I upgraded to architectural shingles and Patrick helped me select what was a perfect color - it is an improvement I appreciate every single day. Patrick is a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, a year later the same area around the chimney that was leaking previously started up again. I contacted Patrick and he immediatly sent out the contractor who did the original chimney work. The contractor was initially a little incredulous that it was due to anything from his end - but after inspection he was able to discover the issue and he spent a good while reworking the area. It has been a year and it has not given me any trouble since. The take away is that I would highly recommend Acura and I would use them again if needed - they are honest and easy to work with, they are a good value for high quality work, and they will stand behind their work should any future issues arise.

Patrick and his team were the absolute best to work with. He's an honest family man with a great company, which left my wife & I feeling confident from the start. We had a great initial meeting, inspection, etc. and the guys worked all day to get the roof done from sunrise to sunset. Our patio cover in the back wasn't very structurally sound, and they went out of their way to reinforce the structure as well. They were highly recommended to us, and I surely recommend them for you.

An absolute pleasure working with Patrick and Acura Roofing team. Helped me order custom flat skylights that ended up looking fantastic and was very responsive during the whole process answering all my questions. Also worked around my schedule during the birth of my first child which I really appreciated. Best of all the new roof looks great, thanks Patrick!!

Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! What started as raccoon damage ended up turning into a full roof replacement--something I had been putting off for a while. Ben took the time to walk me through every step in detail, including how the insurance process works. That alone can be stressful, but he made it much easier to navigate and gave me peace of mind throughout the process. He was professional, responsive, and communicative from start to finish. There are plenty of roofing companies out there offering similar services, but I truly felt that Ben and his team provided the best value without compromising on quality. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing work.

I recently had 21st Century repaint the exterior of my house. You can find that review here as…read morewell. I'm writing a new one because this is a different project. After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.

Shortly after installation, the flat roof leaked down the inside of the walls and warped my solid hardwood floors. That's when I learned C&K Roofing had no insurance, meaning they didn't cover the cost of the damage they caused. Their "solution," instead, was that I file a claim on my homeowner's insurance. Not long after that, the ceiling in my sunroom began leaking as well. C&K came back a couple of times and applied tar patches, none of which worked. The leaks only got worse. I spent almost a year trying to get them to properly repair the roof, but they were always "too busy." The entire time it was raining into my house. When I finally hired another professional to evaluate the roof, I learned (supported by photos) that the flat roof had been installed incorrectly and wasn't repairable. It needed to be torn off and replaced. For context: this began as an insurance claim. Insurance approved removal of the old TPO roof and installation of a new roof of TPO on the flat roof. But C&K Roofing did not remove the old TPO. Instead, they installed a lower-quality material over the existing roof and drove nails straight through it. They also failed to secure the roof properly around the chimney and other edges of the shingle roof. The work was both visibly sloppy and structurally unsound. The new roofer had to remove everything and start over with the correct materials and proper installation. After a year of leaks, my roof is finally fixed. I am now out-of-pocket roughly $6,500 to replace the flat roof and repair the interior damage to my sunroom ceiling, all because the original job was done incorrectly. C&K Roofing has refused to reimburse me for any of it. My hardwood floors are still water damaged too. They are not honest, not trustworthy, do not stand behind their work, and importantly - are not insured. To make matters worse, I am a real estate agent and had recommended C&K Roofing to many clients, friends, and neighbors. I deeply regret that. If this is how they treat a long-standing customer who referred them business, I can only warn others: think carefully before ever hiring C&K Roofing.

I'll be updating all my social media reviews according. You'll notice that there are a sudden rash of bad reviews, not just from me. Do business with this guy at your risk.] I have tried to use this company twice. Both times, appointments were easy to set-up and Maria (not sure how to spell her name) was kind, helpful, and lovely. I had a minor flood and needed a company to work with my home insurance for the repairs. "Together Design" was one of four contractors I consulted, all with excellent reviews here and on Google. Avri the project manager was courteous and helpful, and was the last estimate I needed for the insurance company. I waited some weeks, but an estimate never came. I finally called the Avri's phone number on the caling card he cave me (I think I woke him up, sounded groggy at first). Avri said that my expectation for an estimate was misguided, and that he's being doing this job for quite a while. He said that the way "Together Design" works is that they only provided an estimate once I hired them. I said this is backwards, that I am to receive estimates and select the company I felt comfortable with in consultation with my adjuster. Avri stared to make excuses, none of which addressed my concern--that to consider them, I needed an estimate. I found his customer service quite rude: he kept cutting me off, he would not listen, he was defensive, made excuses, and so on. He stressed his experience, to which I responded three other contractors have already provided estimates and I was waiting for his. Avri said estimate-first is not how they do business, but he would get an estimate to my adjuster ASAP anyway. After a few days without an estimate, I went with another contractor. Maria called to follow up, and I told her my issues. She asked if I could give them another chance, I said not at the time, as time was of the essence and I needed the work to start yesterday. Disappointing, but I was ready to move on. Flash forward five months later, and I haired a crooked contractor who I am now unfortunately suing (cannot review them yet until that suit moves forward). I remembered Maria asking if I could give them another chance, so I decided to call again. Like the first time, communication was clear, easy, and Maria was very easy to work with. I was asked if I wanted to work with Avri again, and I said absolutely not given how poorly he handed the first time. Days later, however, I received a phone call and Maria said she was "calling with news." After she shared with the project managers my videos and photographs, they concluded my "scope" of my project was "not a good fit." I asked if it was "too small" or "two large" of a job. She said, "uhhhh . . . legally I can't say." I found this quite odd. She apologized, expressed wanting to help, but it was not something they are willing to do. I asked again why, and she would not say. Perhaps it was because I did /not/ want to work with Avri, but another PM. As I was about to post this review, I received a message from "Ido" who said their company /only/ takes on remodels from "start to finish." This was the first I have heard this excuse, it's certainly not mentioned in their advertising. If this were truly the case, I should have been told this upfront so I did not waste my time again. Maria asked I give them a second chance, and I did. This is a private business, and it's their right to turn down any client. Absolutely. It's also my right to report my experience. I'm trying to be careful not to be too judgement, but not being "legally" able to tell me why they wouldn't take the job the second time appears deceitful, as does "Ido's" explanation they /now/ only do start-to-finish remodels. Your milage may vary.
