In search of window replacements for our home, we contacted various in the Austin area. We had some come to the home and give us a good presentation, and we had one that asked via e-mail the size of windows and how many and gave us a rough estimate. But when Titan sent their sales rep, Lamar, we were pleased it wasn't going to be another hour and a half of telling us the history of glass. Lamar was a straight shooter. He looked at what we wanted, made some suggestions and then told us, he'd send us some quotes. He would make himself available for further discussion, if required. We took each of the quotes, considered all the reps, and determined we were going with Titan. They were less pressure and really seemed to have a loyalty to their company and enjoyed what he did. We negotiated a price and went for it. We were given a long delivery time (3-months), but we were not in a hurry. After returning from our Pacific Northwest vacation, the owner, Mike Connors, reached out to us and advised our windows were in and they wanted to schedule installation. All was coordinated and we were anxious to see the product in place. Noted: This was a month earlier that expected. The install team arrived led by Cameron. They were a group of professional young men. They treated our home as if it was their very own. They had wonderful manners. You didn't hear them cursing, yelling, playing music, and none picked up their cell phone - it was all about getting the job done right. When asked questions, they were prepared to explain to a level that was clear and concise. When installing the windows, they laid blankets to ensure any debris was collected. They had min-vacs and cleaned up after themselves. We had ABSOLUTELY no complaints. Just about the time they were done, Mike Connors shows up and goes over the job with us. He inspects each of the windows to ensure everything was working well. Meeting the owner added appeal to our selecting Titan. It meant he cared enough to come out and verify what he sells is installed properly and the customer is 100% satisfied. This is my second review for Titan Siding, my first from 2014 was when I leveraged their services for replacing the siding on my home. Because Mike and his team had done such an amazing job then I had no doubts the experience would be the same. This was absolutely the truth. I started the process back in late May to get bids on replacing all the windows in my home. The old windows were the original 35+ year old single pane. To say my house was drafty was an understatement. In the winter I would have to position a space heater between me and the window on the front of the house to stay warm while working. The process with Lamar was super easy, he came out and took some basic measurements, we discussed the color of the framing for the new windows and what features I was looking for. He advised that in total it would be about a 6 month process based upon current lead times. After about a month I was contacted to set up time for the installer to come out and take the detailed measurements that would be sent off to the vendor to build. He was in and out in about an hour and advised me that the measurements would be reviewed by both Mike and the manufacturer 3 times before the order was committed to production. The order was final approved in mid July. On September 20th the 7 new windows and French door were installed. The install crew arrived promptly as scheduled and set right to work. The 5 man crew worked all day and had everything wrapped up around 5pm. To say I am pleased with my experience would be an understatement. I am glad I held off on this review as I have experience a hard freeze and extreme temperature changes. My house has stayed consistently conformable in both heat and cold. Im already seeing a 15% decrease in my energy bills as well. This was definitely a sound investment. Thank you Mike and team for another job well done. read more

In May 2021, we decided to replace all eleven original aluminum windows in our 1960s mid-century ranch home, knowing this would be a major expense. As with any substantial purchase, we did our research and comparisons, and ultimately selected Titan Siding & Windows. I am happy to report that they every bit lived up to their stellar reviews every step of the way! The sales consultant who came to our home, Stiles, was extremely knowledgeable and not the least bit pushy. We knew that we wanted a modern style with a matte black finish, and we ultimately selected the Andersen 100 Series which fit the bill perfectly. We also opted for the upgraded "TruScene" screens, which are remarkable in that they appear non-existent. They are a dream come true and exactly what our updated white-with-black-trim 1960s ranch style home needed to complete the look. Due to manufacturing and shipping delays resulting from the COVID pandemic, we were quoted 20 weeks from sign of contract to installation. Both Stiles and Titan owner, Mike Connor, were upfront about the timing, managed our expectations and kept us in the loop with updates. We were thrilled that Titan was actually able to ultimately get them installed in 16 weeks. On installation day, Titan's crew of six showed up at the scheduled time, and within a few hours, all of our windows were installed. The crew was meticulous in cleaning up everything and ensuring that our new windows sparkled. When all of the windows were installed, owner Mike personally came by to inspect everything and even installed our four new interconnected smoke detectors, as required by the City of Austin in order to sign off on the permit's final inspection. The only (very minor) hitch in the process was that the pane in one window was cracked in transit by the shipper (not by Titan). Mike submitted our warranty claim immediately, and we're hopeful we'll be getting the replacement pane very soon. I entered the replacement window gig with much trepidation. The whole industry is really a bit of a quagmire to wade through. The cost for a complete replacement, 18 windows in my case, is significant and I really wanted to know what I was getting into prior to having quotes and folks "selling me stuff" come to my home. After a year, I'm not kidding here, I found myself deep in the rabbit hole of the replacement window business. Companies changed their names, the window types, etc.. And what is the National Fenestration Rating Council anyway? It's a cornucopia of every window made. The NFRC label on your window, helps you compare between energy-efficient windows, doors, and skylights by providing you with energy performance ratings in multiple categories. Going through this exercise became a nightmare to collate and understand what I really needed. After much consternation, the one fact stood tall. Installation of the windows was as important as the window I selected. Pretty much had settled on the Simonton brand. I also realized that I didn't want to interview a couple of companies. Titan Siding had a pretty incredible track record regarding installs going back some 10 yrs. Didn't matter where I searched, they always came up as excellent. I reached out to Mike the owner, who responded incredibly quickly even on a Sunday of the Memorial Day Weekend. We arranged for his estimator to come to the house and provide us a bid. Estimator Joel arrived on time and listened to what we wished to have done and the type of window.. etc.. In my mind, I had already decided to work with Titan, unless their prices were redonkulous. Well.. their prices were within $500 of what I had estimated with all my research. ON POINT. We agreed to a contract and knew it would probably 6-9 wks out before they could start. Again, within reason knowing the current Covid situation. A gentleman came out to do the measurements a few days later. He was pleasant and quick. He also mentioned that we would probably be hearing from the installer scheduler fairly soon. And he wasn't wrong. In just a few short weeks, the installers arrived and the job was done quickly, efficiently and on time. I think the whole process was 4-5 weeks from when I contacted Mike to begin with and the completion of the job. There was only one concern and that was one of the arched windows seemed to be not quite right and Mike and I discussed this when he came to the home. He let me know that this was warranted and he would start the process for me. I was a little bummed, it wasn't anything major and didn't know how long this would take. I'm happy to say less than a week after, I got a call from the Simonton warranty gal who let me know the process and as soon as the window is built, they would call to have it replaced for me. All very professionally done. I really think these are the guys you would want for you window replacement as well. The windows are fantastic and the difference already is very apparent regarding the insulation of these new windows. read more

They've done this before -- clearly experienced at replacing windows. Ours was seven single hung double pane frames damaged by hail. Products were rated for the hot and sunny summers in TX and AZ. They even replaced the shades (though that wasn't in the contract). No damage to newly painted house. Overall very happy with the siding job on our house. It looks good and seems sturdy. They have a system of waterproofing that I think will be very durable. Painting looks very smooth. They work pretty fast and cleanup is above average. Sometimes it can be tricky communicating if you don't speak Spanish and there's not someone to translate on site. This is a common issue. There was a little bit of confusion about when people were coming to finish a couple of final items like vents and caulking. But those items were done fairly promptly and it was not enough trouble to deduct a star. read more

Nothing like paying a lot of money on windows to have the crappiest caulking job done around the exterior. The "fix" for this was them touching up the trim with paint that they didn't even leave for us to fully paint the trim with. Whatever they did to our bathroom window left the windowsill loose and no one has came back to fix it like we were told. If I had known that "we put the good caulking guys on the inside and the not-so-good caulking guys on the outside" - seriously, that's exactly what he said - we would have passed and chose a company that uses "good caulking guys" on both the inside and outside. Unfortunately, Titan is just a reminder to us as to how miserable working with contractors can be. I highly recommend choosing someone else for windows. I'll update the review after I find out whether or not we ever receive a replacement for one of the broken screens. read more

I have a house a little over 40 years old. It had original siding and windows; it didn't look good and it was drafty as Hell. We asked for and received quite a few estimates that ranged in prices and the sales pitches all uncomfortable in their various degrees of sleeziness. Someone suggested we give Titan a try. It was professional, it wasn't hard sales, it was clear he knew what he was talking about. We were sold. We had them install a Hardie Board exterior, fix and paint fascia, and install 10 windows. It's been a year now, and they look great. And the windows, no drafts! None. It was done on time, no hidden fees, with great care. The window team arrived on the projected start dates and they did an absolutely beautiful job installing the windows. Probably one of the most long overdue review EVER... but maybe that is better ? We hired Titan for both siding and window replacement I would say more than 5 years ago ... maybe almost 10. So yikes, don't know why I picked now to finally post a review when this company is probably the most satisfactory hired work we ever done of ALL of our home improvement projects. They replaced more than 20 windows, converted two windows to big sliding doors, redid and repainted all the siding and fascia Not cheap at all. And even now we are happy with their work! I heard of them via a co-worker rave review where they saw their neighbor's window replacement workmanship and liked their work so much that all the other neighbors he told me ended up hiring Titan. I probably would have stressed 300% more during the bid process without already having the recommendation from co worker. We are the most confrontation averse ppl and almost always regret hiring out for things due to shoddy work. My husband has learned to do and tackled a lot of very complex home repairs himself due to this. Sure enough we selected this unicorn, they were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Even almost 10 years now, I remember Mike the owner being always there, hands on, doing touch ups and talking to us. Hubby and I were even thinking 'Hmm, does he do this for all clients? Who has that kind of time? Is he guilting us to give good reviews?' LOL. He never did ask us to put a review anywhere. With the finished product, I remember thinking 'Wow, this almost feels like a new house!'' And just smiling a lot for having that refreshed feeling, and relief from the money well spent without the usual buyers remorse we experienced after paying a lot for services. We knew when we bought our home that we needed to replace the siding on one side. We were nervous about pursuing estimates as we had a bad experience previously with another siding company. I can't remember how we reached out to Titan, but I do know that Joel was our primary contact for the estimate and getting setup. I really appreciated Joel's responsiveness and insight along the way. I don't know anything about siding, but Joel walked me through it in a way that made me feel heard and confident about what we were wanting. That is important to me. After we set everything up, we were contacted as Joel said we would be weeks before the work started. Josh, who I assume was one of the project leads, came the day before and gave me an update on what to expect. The next day the work started. Josh contacted me a few hours into it and let me know the condition of the wood, as understandably you're not sure what you're dealing with until you get in there, and thankfully it was good to go. The team that worked on our home did an incredible job and was finished in one day. 2-3 days later the painters arrived (as I was told they would be) and it looks great. Mike, the owner, came over and personally inspected the work and afterward returned to answer any questions. All of this, by the way, was COVID friendly, no one ever approached my door without wearing a mask and being six feet, or more, away. Our family really appreciated that. I highly recommend Titan for the quality of installation and honesty. I initially got a bid from Chris Harris to replace aluminum windows with Simontons but decided to get other bids as well. Other companies came in as high as $26,000 for a job ($16000, if you signed up that day) or under $6000 cash. I ultimately decided to go back to Titan since they will install what you want - they don't make the windows. But they do have opinions and info about what you are buying and the warranties. While I wanted to go with Andersen (not RBA), Milwood, and the other moderately high-end windows, Chris assured me that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference once the Simontens were installed, the warranties were not the same, and customer service differed. Ultimately, I went back to the Simonton idea. He was both right and very practical. Just love the double-hung sliders and picture window effect! I didn't realize how important it is to replace old windows. It's quieter, cleaner, fresher, and just all around more enjoyable. The Titan crew didn't leave anything on our site and replaced the whole house in 3.5 hours. Owner Mike came over towards the end to inspect all and was super nice as well. read more
