Had a great opportunity to visit The Acworth Book & Storytelling Festival. It was very well-organized event and had forty authors sharing their amazing stories with visitors. Would be wonderful to read every attending Author's book. Sorry, " so many books and so little time." The weather was great, and it was perfect to have part of the event outside. This was my first visit to this Arts Center, and I can't wait to see what other events they have to offer.

I compare Jumping World to Altitude, which is where I normally go in my neighborhood. Altitude in East Cobb has similar concepts but focuses on primarily jumping on one level. Jumping World, tries to do a number of additional activities including, video games, go carting, bull riding, water weasel wheeling, ninja course, and kids must navigate them on their extensive carpets. Water fountain and bathrooms are centrally located. There is a snack bar with sweets, drinks, and some fast food choices. For birthday parties the pizza was the choice. If you need your kids to release some energy this is a good local option.

Worst part was being badgered constantly by the manager. We had two families and 4 kids in the group. The manager followed us around nagging the kids and parents. Such issues as - you can't push another kid on the swings, a 3 year old was admonished for pressing non functional buttons on broken equipment. We were the only people there but the manager wouldn't allow an older kid to accompany his 3 year old cousin... While some rules were posted, additional nagging activities were made up as we went along so we couldn't enjoy our time. We had to leave early. Don't recommend. If any of the nagging had merit with our well behaved kids - we recommend writing the rules down and presenting them initially instead of the constant raised voice badgering we experienced.

I normally place a hold on the books I want and go pick them up once they are available. This library has curbside pick up as well. They have a drop off option inside and outside the building which makes it more convenient. Parking lot is not huge but they do have additional parking options as well. Right in the heart of Marietta is this great venue, Cobb County Civic Center. It's not too large,…read moreit is wheelchair accessible, has an elevator inside, and parking is free. The entrance fee depends on the event that is going on. The parking lot is large so you can just park outside the venue and walk into the building. Through the years, I have attended, Gem Shows, International Festivals, Christmas Markets and Gun Shows. The venue is just right size for me, and not too large, so you do not have to wear yourself out by walking miles in a huge Exchibition Hall like the Omni in Atlanta. There are two levels inside. Sometimes the exhibitors are presenting their products in both stories. Other times, like the last Expo I attended had vendors only on the bottom floor. This is an older building but still well maintained and clean. There are restrooms upstairs and downstairs, you just have to look for them. Of course, how much you will enjoy the event you are attending depends on your interests and the organisors. I would highly recommend this place. There has always been Cobb County police present for security.

We were able to snag free street parking right next the theatre, greeted promptly and kindly upon arrival and checked in just a few feet from the door. We bypassed the concessions stand - which stemmed quite popular - and were escorted to our seats. Comfortable seating, possibly not a bad view in the house. Beautifully maintained. Great acoustics. And an AMAZING show! I cannot wait to return!
