Here's the deal! If you opt into their wellness program, you have to pay up front and if you do not experience any improvement, oh well, too bad, so sad. They've got your money and you are stuck making payments until your Care Credit loan is paid off! This is the situation I am in now. The personalized program they set me up on cost me $6,466!!!!! This was for 3 MONTHS of wellness, possibly six. PLUS, that DOES NOT include ASEA, which is a monthly MLM supplement that they say "works with the program" and you "need to be on." That's an additional $200/month. PLUS, there is the protein powder that cost $48-and change per bag monthly. PLUS, there are the Beyond Organic supplements and foods that you have to buy that are an additional cost. They sit you in a room and put you in, what they refer to as the "Hot Seat." Appropriately termed as I felt intimidated when presented the cost of the program, and although I was sick to my stomach when I saw the price, I signed the deal anyway. My bad. Kicking myself every month now when I make that payment. The wellness program included two visits per week: one for lipo laser which supposedly draws toxins out of your fat, a chiropractic adjustment, and a muscle testing allergy treatment. The second visit is an ionic foot soak, a chiropractic adjustment, and a muscle testing allergy treatment. The $6,466 fee includes a cellular healing diet plan, cookbook, and some supplements. After five months, I went from using one inhaler per month to 1-1/2!! NOT GOOD ... especially when paying such an exorbitant fee to feel batter!! I followed the diet, did everything I was told to do and when I caught a cold, I was sick - in bed - for 16 days! Very unusual. Also, since Dr. Jim wanted me off all fruits due to their sugar content, I started getting severe muscle spasms in my shin bones and in my rib cage. Turned out I was deficient in potassium. I believe that occurred as a result of removing bananas from my diet, because before this "wellness plan" I would drink a smoothie every morning that included a banana, almond butter, kale and coconut water. The "next phase" of my wellness program was going to cost me just shy of $500 in more supplements. This is where I drew the line and decided to cut my losses. I could not see throwing any more money at a program that obviously was NOT working for me, so I opted out. When I told the office manager, Sonja, her entire demeanor changed. She went from being sweet as pecan pie to sticking her nose up in the air and saying, "Your choice" without even allowing me to finish explaining. She walked away from me while I was trying to explain and just ignored me. It was completely obvious that if I was not going to keep throwing money at them, she was not interested in what I had to say. So sad, because I had hoped to continue seeing Dr. Jim for adjustments but that attitude changed my mind. I found another local chiropractor where I get acupuncture and adjustments. I started juicing again (something Dr. Jim is opposed to as he prefers blended drinks), added fruit back into my diet and in less than a week, I am down to 2-5 puffs on my inhaler DAILY!!! This is down from 12-15 puffs just to get through the night!!! I'm also sleeping through the night without coughing fits. HUGE IMPROVEMENT in a very short period of time! And it only cost me $45/session for acupuncture ... AS NEEDED! No monumental financial commitment, no pressure, no up-front fees, no contract! It makes me even sicker to say that when I added all the incidentals (ASEA, Protein Powder, Beyond Organic, etc) to the original plan price, in the five months that I went to Acworth Wellness Center, it cost me close to $9000. When you figure that out monthly, that comes out to $1800 PER MONTH!! That's more than twice what I pay for my mortgage!!!! I have been a patient for the past three months of Acworth Wellness Center. Actually, Sonya the Office Manager, came to me on a Social Media page and said "let me help you". I was knee deep in menopause, the hot flashes, mood swings and depression have been out of control, anyone living it knows what I mean. So I sat down with Sonya explained my symptoms, not sleeping, brain fog as well as the host of other issues. I had already personally decided not to take the traditional hormone replacement as prescribed by my doctor and was desperately searching for another answer. I was given ASEA as well as several bottles of supplements and at first honestly I was not really following my regimen as described by Sonya and Dr. Jim, of course I immediately became very frustrated. After meeting again with Sonya and crying my eyes out about how awful I felt nothing was helping she asked, "are you taking your supplements like your supposed to?" Honestly, "no I was not" I admitted, then we had a long heart to heart and after both of us crying a little and talking a lot, I as well was put in the "hot seat" and made a promise to myself, to follow the plan. That was who she told me was the most important person in this, ME. That was my key.. If you work the plan, it works! I can promise you that. I not only have gotten many of the horrible symptoms and/or side effects of Menopause under control I have even lost a few pounds. I feel wonderful and even if I can't get in to see Sonya every week. She will take the time to call me or text just to see how I am doing. This is not just going to the Doctor, this is committing to a new way of life, a better way and it's not going to happen in a day or maybe even a week. You have to remind yourself it took some time for your body, health and hormones to become so heavily polluted with toxins that it will take time, patience and commitment to get to the other side of this. I know I am there now and yes the grass is greener! Life is getting better every day, I am proof. After an accident 13 years ago, i developed chronic pain, fatigue and migraines. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic migraines. For years, i spent hour after ours with some of Atlanta's finest specialists, undergoing costly blood tests, MRIs and Catscans. The pain became so debilitating that I would end up in emergency rooms throughout Georgia and Florida. I came to see Dr. Jim for the first time about 6 years ago. I did not know it at the time, but many years of constant unresolved stress had taken a serious toll on my body in general. I had been suffering with random food allergies and was only able to eat a few things without a reaction. One doctor suggested I take Zoloft or Prozac to band-aid the symptoms, but I didn't. Another doctor, an allergist, determined I had no allergies. I finally decided to try alternative health care. I tried one of the "big box" alternative medicine facilities, but thousands of dollars later my problems were significantly compounded. Honestly, I can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Jim and his Amazing Wellness Center and staff. I began my journey with him as my chiropractor over two decades ago. With all the service additions over the years of programs like the no-needle allergy treatments, nutrition, weight loss, supplementation... the list goes on with everything they can help with, my health and the health of my son has not only improved, but we are thriving under their care. I am not quite sure where to even start about this wonderful practice, my life was forever changed for the better the second I walked in. I have been seeing Doctor Jim since I was 15 years old and I am now 27. I could not imagine what my life would be like if Dr. Jim would not of been apart of it. I was a very sick child and when we found Dr. Jim I finally regained my health. He not only helped me with current symptoms but he also taught me how to take control of my health and prevent disease from happening in the first place. I honestly don't know why my previous review got deleted. These people are incredible. They have literally saved my life. They have helped me with medical conditions that any of my previous doctors have said "There is no more we can do." I am no longer on medications and I am feeling better than I ever have! Yes, it does take effort and Yes, it does require nutritional supplementation and detoxification of the body to reach the quality of health I now feel. It wasn't an over night success. It did take time. But, totally worth it in my opinion. Acworth Wellness Center's team saved me!!! After seeing doctors/specialists for 2 years I was told I was healthy and my numbers were within range. My body told me a different story. I've been getting Chiropractic adjustments since I was an newborn. Dr. Jim has known me for just as long. Dr. Jim has taught me more about how my body works and what supplements and foods work for me than just about anyone else.
