Hillary (and team) were exceptional when it came to designing my custom shoe closet! In the master…read moresuite, I have four large closets adjacent to one another, two in one hall. I was hoping to designate this end hall (closer to the entry of suite) to a shoe closet, and Hillary helped me properly select and design the space. The two closets we considered are similar in size, but one is slightly wider. We went back and forth between these two closets, seeing how/where we could maximize the shoe capacity. We also debated between the Senzafine and the Ubek systems, and found out the Senzafine worked better in either of these two closets. After some time of playing with different ideas, we chose the slightly smaller closet and the Senzafine Night Walk-in System with inclined shoe shelves. The shoe shelves design has the option of LED lighting per shelf. With our final design, we managed to create a space that would accommodate nearly 80 pairs of shoes in one closet. I was so thrilled. The shoe closet and install is a 5month process (not including August/December). I am looking forward to the install in November-ish! Next, we are designing my son's large closet for clothes, shoes, and misc.; and, two guest bedroom closets. HIGHLY recommend Hillary and crew from Poliform! I loved two of their sofa pieces with movable backs and the flexibility on customizing it. Prices were competitive for the european contemporary style. The downstairs area had sale pieces too. I got a different sofa from elsewhere, but this place was on my top 5 after looking at about 30 stores.

These were not custom but simply a standard order for merchandise from their vendor yet they refuse to stand behind their product or recommendation and accept a return. Wasted lots of time and money dealing with this awful situation. Disreputable business.

A seemingly completely unlimited selection of whatever you never thought you needed but now cannot live without. The owner walked me thru the store showing me wooden tables, measuring to see if it was the right size, and saying "I have this one also..." He was so thoughtful, even offering to build a tabletop top to my exact measurements. Don't miss stopping by this cute store for what he has and what he can build.

It's a nice shop with some lovely items. What drew me in was seeing some nice photo frames when I peeked in the windows; they had some nice ones but not quite what I was looking for. They had 15% off Christmas stuff when I was in but I didn't see anything I needed (and other similar shops I'd visited in Uptown, Andersonville, Wilmette, and even down the street in Winnetka had 40-60% off Christmas items, so it was easy to pass). Staff were friendly and I was greeted by both employees within moments of entering, both happy to help me find anything if needed. If you're looking for a gift, decorating a home, or need advice on either, Madarine Home would not be a bad place to shop. There's a step in order to enter the store, so you may want to call and find out if they have an accessible entrance if you can't manage the step. There's parking all around this shopping district that is free.
