We brought our 7-month-old cat in for a scheduled spay appointment while she was in heat. Upon arrival, we placed her in the exam room in her carrier. The veterinary technician entered and attempted to reach into the carrier instead of removing the top, without knowing how our cat might react. The technician also mentioned that performing the procedure while our cat was in heat could be more difficult, but still possible. We then left the office, expecting the procedure to be completed. However, five hours later, we received a call stating that they were unable to perform the spay because our cat was "running around the office and being aggressive." They called around 2:00 PM and told us to pick her up at 2:30 PM. It is very unclear why she was kept for five hours only to cancel the procedure, and why an additional 30 minutes was needed before we could retrieve her. When we brought her home, we noticed her left eye looked slightly squinted but didn't initially think much of it. By the next day, her eye had become extremely red and cloudy. We immediately contacted the office to ask what had happened, as she went in for a routine spay and came home with an eye injury. During the call, the technician laughed and claimed they "never touched her," despite previously stating she had been loose in the office and attempting to handle her in front of us earlier. We then struggled to get in contact with the veterinarian, as we were repeatedly told he was unavailable. The office asked us to send photos of her eye and seemed to suggest the issue may have been our fault. Eventually, the veterinarian returned our call and admitted that the gloves they use are somewhat rough and could have accidentally injured her eye. This directly contradicts the earlier claim that she was never touched. It also raises serious concerns about what happened during the five hours she was in their care. We ultimately had to push for appropriate treatment, and they provided eye medication at no cost after acknowledging responsibility. Overall, this was a very upsetting experience. The front desk staff was extremely unprofessional, communication was poor, and our pet was injured during what should have been a routine visit. We will not be returning. read more

Began bringing my puppy here as soon as we brought her home last May. At first, staff was friendly and helpful. Over the last 6 months, I've had several bad experiences with vet technicians, one in particular, being extremely rude and actually arguing with me when I asked to purchase a smaller quantity of flea/heartworm/tick meds because I was planning to use an online pharmacy. Something that had never been an issue previously. When I called in to ask about the meds, the vet tech on the phone said "you never got her a blood test." To which I replied, "she's been coming to Ad Park since the day we brought her home. No one has ever told me to schedule one." The vet tech's response was "well, whatever, she needs one." When I had my dog there for a nail trim, she was scared. We had the same, rude vet tech and as she was trimming her nails she told my dog, "stop being such a baby. I haven't even made you bleed yet." That was the breaking point for me (happened to be the same appointment where she argued with me over the medication). Overall, just not a good experience. read more

My sister and I used to take our dogs here but we have found the vet to be emotionless and questionable. After blood work he proceeded to put my sisters old dog under for a teeth cleaning/extraction but did not remove the tooth that was loose and rotting. After bringing him home he died shortly after. Then we realized his jaw was broken from an extraction done a couple months prior. I understand he was an old dog so the vet can't be 100% to blame but I decided to take my older dog somewhere else. Top Notch Veterinarian and great pricing. I have taken my fur babies to Ad Park for over 25 years. The new Veterinarian, Dr. Jay, is as wonderful and knowledgeable as Dr. Kumar and Dr. Sangha. I have found each of them to be caring and very gentle with all of my fur babies over the years. They are patient, listen to your concerns and answer every question you have. I have never felt rushed or belittled when asking questions. Their staff is amazingly caring and compassionate. The staff cares for your fur baby just as much as you do. Very nice and less expensive than anyone around. They are a very busy place but made me and my pets feel welcome. Plus, I was sitting for a long time waiting for the vet or technician to come in. I brought my cat in for a cleaning but vet said he didn't need one, he needed antibiotics instead and the cleaning wasn't necessary at this time. The antibiotics worked! If i could give this place 0 stars i would i took my dog for his ear stitches removal from a ear hematoma he had. I left him at 8:15am when i left him he looked perfectly fine he was walking fine his stools were good then they call me at 11am saying that when i left my dog he was breathing heavy and that had a fever that probably i left him outside because it looked like he was having a heat stroke, wich i never left my dog outside to sleep or he would never go outside alone to do his necessities, then they asked if my dog has had seizures in the past and i said no because he never did. So they told me to go pick him up at 4pm that the fever was down now i go in there at 3:20 pm because i was worried for my dog and when i get there i asked to take my dog with me and the technician are just looking at each other and i see two technician carrying a dog in a stretcher and when i saw my baby's tail my heart immediately dropped and they said can u please wait for Dr. Sangha didn't even clean the room and let another person in with their dog. I get into the room where they moved my baby he looked horrible he couldn't move the was peeing on himself he couldn't recognized us, he was breathing really heavy Then this so called veterinarian came in the room and said the same thing he did on the phone and said well we run some test and they came out good and the fever is down you should take him to emergency animal hospital. So i did took him to the VCA animal hospital and they told us that somehow he went through alot of stress and his heartrate was really high he had bloody diarrhea and was vomiting blood. They tried giving him different medication to see if it would help but no luck and we had to put our dog down. I cant even explain the pain our whole family is going thru we deeply regret taking our baby to this clinic! IF YOU LOVE YOUR FURY BABIES DON'T TAKE THEM TO THIS CLINIC! read more

Caring, Compassionate, Cooperative ... I had a lot of stray cat activity in my yard this year and as I result, had to get three female kittens spayed. I contacted a lot of agencies and in the end, I wanted an affordable and very local way to get the kittens fixed at a reasonable price. I walked into Ad Park as a last resort and was so impressed that they actually offered year-round discount spaying. The kittens made it through the spaying well, and then went back for stitch removal. I just literally walked in and got taken care of - not hassle appointments. Then I had another stray situation - this time a long-time visitor to my yard needed to be evaluated because of badly infected front paws. Dr. Kumar listened to me and looked at my large and uncooperative frightened friend and suggested that the cat stay overnight, get a tranquilizer and allow him to get blood work done and adequately clean his paws and administer injections. Dr. Kumar administered the right meds thoughtfully and explained the course of treatment to me. I have had vets and cats for 40 years and I must say that I like Dr. Kumar's easy manner and gentle approach very much. I have had vets that were high on their own egos and pushed a lot of services, tests, procedures. There is nothing of that kind going on here. Is the parking lot in the strip mall busy - yes. Is the clinic itself modest in decor, yes. But it's very clean and the staff is amazing, considerate, kind, and interested. Dr. Kumar and his staff are doing good work, at fair prices. (I have had some of the best food in the world at hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and while Ad Park is not a hole in the wall = I am trying to use a food analogy to expain why the cosmetic environment is not important to the outcome.) read more

Been coming here for probably about 15 years! They have very reasonable pricing and the staff genuinely cares about the animals. One of my dogs is 2lbs so she's pretty fragile and they did great neutering her. One of my dogs was also diagnosed with heart disease and with the help of Dr.Kumars care he lasted another 2 years under strict medications. Very kind and compassionate staff! We have been feeding and caring for a feral cat at my work for the past 5 yrs. Lately, I have noticed significant changes to her health. Breathing problems, gagging while eating and weight loss. I also think she became deaf. I noticed this morning she was getting closer to me each time I was outside. Maybe it was the look on her face that made me realize she was suffering. With help, she was placed in a box and I took her to this wonderful office. It was confirmed that she was having difficulty breathing and her veins had collapsed. I made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize her. The staff was so compassionate. She was sedated and wrapped in a towel. For the 1st time, I held her and petted her head. When it was time, I stayed with her until her suffering ended. I like this place so far.. well, this is only my first visit, but the staff seems nice and friendly, and Dr. Kumar seems to know what he's doing. The price isn't bad either. I think they should replace the sign outside... All it is, is an old white "PET CLINIC" sign above the windows. They could start remodeling the place with a more appealing outdoor sign. anyways... Well, we didn't pay for the place to look nice.. we paid to get our kitten checked up and vaccinated, and Dr. Kumar did well with that, so that's all that matters. This place is simple and affordable. The staff really seems to care about your pet. My last vet (in a different state) gave my chihuahua all of her yearly vaccines, kennel cough nose drops, and a 3 year rabies vaccine all at once, which caused a horrible reaction. This vet pointed out how careless it was and suggested giving the vaccines one at a time in two week rounds to pinpoint which, if any, caused a reaction, in case it wasn't due to receiving too many at once. They also refuse to do an invasive fecal exam, which I found thoughtful toward your pet. Just have to bring in a poop sample. I was initially afraid to come here due to its location and outdated appearance, but so far it really lives up to the positive reviews. The four stars are because of the price. The place is old and in a junky strip mall with only the words "Pet Clinic" as their sign. They still have wood paneling on the walls from the 70s. If they did a little remodeling or even just cleaned the dirt out of the corners I am sure they could attract more customers. But! I will gladly look the other way for the prices they charge and the friendliness of the staff. I was quoted from $500 - to $1500 for a feline teeth cleaning at another vet. AD park charged me $137! Doctor Kumar is great, he isn't much of a smiler but he does listen to your concerns and cares for your pet. And his staff is awesome they really show they care and make you feel at home. This is the first clinic that actually helped my pet, and Dr. Kumar was great at eliminating all factors and finding out what the problem is, because of him my dog is on his way to a full recovery. I'll preface this review by stating that I've worked in vet clinics and doggie daycares, and this has by far been the worst place I've ever been to. I took my dog here originally because we had just moved here a few months ago from Southern Illinois. When I called, the person I talked to seemed knowledgeable and friendly, and after hearing the prices ($148 for a neuter, updated rabies, and distemper) I decided to take my dog here. When I took him in for the appointment, I paid an extra 30 dollars to have him given extra fluids for his procedure, and the elderly lady I talked to made me feel super comfortable about leaving my dog there. I'm not sure if they had just finished when I went to pick him up, but he was so out of it the next couple of days that I called a different vet to get a second opinion on his standing. So don't pay the $30 extra, it doesn't work. It took them over 30 minutes to get my dog from the back because the receptionists decided to order food, rather than take 2 minutes to grab him. I have no idea who the actual veterinarian is, since he didn't take a minute to introduce himself, which I thought was a bit unprofessional, but not the end of the world. 2 weeks later we went back and they had no record of my appointment to get his stitches out. I waited a few minutes after being told they could squeeze him in. The exam room floor had pee all over it from the previous dog, which nobody bothered to clean up the whole time we were in the room. It took 3 people to hold down a 30 pound dog. I understand a safety restraint, but it was definitely overkill, since he just laid there. The staff was rude, and cared more about where their next meal was than taking care of my dog. Needless to say, I will be finding another vet. read more

Further, the Doctor explains everything pertaining to your pet's ailment. He takes his time making sure you understand.
