This place is so nice! I've been all over Natomas looking for an apartment and this was my absolute favorite complex. They have a huge pool (which I wouldn't have used since I can't swim) a really nice jacuzzi and a SAUNA!!!!!!! They even have a dry cleaning service for a great price and a lot of other cool amenities, it's safe, I have a friend who lives at adagio and I've been there during different hours of the day or night and it feels very safe.... unfortunately due to the price I decided to go for a different complex in midtown which I also love at a much cheaper rate. read more

We're fans!! It's been about a month, but we wanted to share the experience so far... It's felt like home since the beginning. Susie, Andrew and Diane were extremely helpful during the application process. Communication was constant and professional. As is normal with any move-in, a few items needed to be addressed. The team sprung into action. Manuel addressed all our needed quickly and resolved them the first time around. He's an incredible asset. This complex is falling apart, literally. The foundation moved so much in the 2+ years I was there that there were 1/4" cracks in the drywall throughout the unit, the interior doors would not close, and the strike plate on the front door had to be adjusted several times just to lock the front door. The small pool has an underground leak that they can't seem to find/repair. The pool was closed and half filled with greenish mucky water for the better part of the summer and the leak continued after they reopened it. Management used to be caring are responsive when Diane and Susie were there -- Not so much with the new team. There is a homeless population in the surrounding area that constantly rummages through the dumpsters and leaves a stinking mess. Management is unresponsive to problems such as these and complex "security" is never present. In fact, there was an attempted home invasion by tenants living in a unit rented by an "absent" resident. It took the police department about 65 minutes to respond but Adagio's security never arrived on scene. If you have neighbors that fight and scream, don't expect them to be asked to leave. Again, management is unresponsive. Smells from animals, cooking, etc. waft back and forth between the upper and lower units so odors can be a problem depending on the cleanliness of your neighbors. Do not expect to get a return of your security deposit. Upon the move-in walkthrough, be sure to note EVERY detail or you will be held accountable. Upon the move-out walkthrough, what is deemed a "touch-up" cleaning (i.e., wiping out the window tracks, lightly cleaning only the first vertical blind, and wiping out the corners of the opening of the washing machine) will cost you upwards of $150. The only way to stop management from swiping your security deposit is to file suit. If you must live in this neighborhood, you'd be much better off going next door to Larkspur Woods. The complex is well maintained and management is professional, caring, and responsive. read more

Adagio Apts is a clean complex. But they never return your deposit even if you leave it spotless. They even charge for cleaning windows on the outside. That is strange. I do not recommend living here. read more

What a great place to live, Lets start with Safety this place feels so safe, nobody that shouldnt be here isnt the gates work well and security at night make u feel very safe ! I lived in the apartment community around 2 years and then moved to another nearby apartment community. Adagio Apartment community looks very good from outside - well maintained outlook, beautiful 3 swimming pools and spacious room. But here are the cons: 1. Most of the staffs are good. At the same time, few other staffs are extremely rude. 2. Be careful after the sunset, I had few experiences -be watchful if you are going for a walk either inside the community or across the street. You will see a lot homeless people roaming around. 3. Thefts are more in this community, I lost a bicycle from the patio. 4. Car breaking is quite normal here. Make sure you always park your car in the garage (even day time). Always check the recent police logs in Community Crime Map (http://communitycrimemap.com/?address=Sacramento,CA&crimeTypes=%5B1,2,4,6,7,8,10,11,12,14,15,16,17,18%5D&startDate=7&endDate=0&zoom=8) 5. Car garage is very small, If you have a nice car, be careful your sides. 6. In case of any minor incidents like patio theft, management will force you to call only the private security, not the police. - I heard this from few neighbors, I did not experience that. 7. Most important - be prepaid to pay some additional amount while you are leaving the community - $800 -$900 is quite normal and it can go to a 4 digit number. I had a bad experience with the management. If you are really having some free time, you can file a case in small claims court and get your most of your money back. In a nutshell, I won't recommend here unless you are very desperate to get a place. I moved out because of two reasons - 1. Safety 2. They are increasing rent like anything.. read more

Decent looking on the outside (for Natomas) but cheap and bandaged on the inside. Requesting maintenance to fix anything (which is a regular call) was ridiculous. Often times the request wasn't fulfilled. Had a toilet that needed to be fixed, they worked on the wrong toilet and broke that one. Apartments are broken into and the occurrence is not communicated to other renters. Maintenance doesn't keep up on standing water and token sprinklers. Over priced. Entrance is not handicap accessible. read more

I lived here from 2008-2015. I only moved out because I got a house. Otherwise, I would have stayed... forever. Overall, I had a great experience living here. The grounds are well maintained. The staff is great... very friendly and responsive to maintenance requests and other issues. It is very quiet and I felt secured at all times as they had a security company drive around in the complex at night. I have noticed that most of the tenants are young professionals although I have seen families with kids. The amenities are great! read more

I've been here only 3 months and I just love it. I'm so surprised by the range of reviews by tenants - I have had great response on maintenance and my apartment was perfectly clean and almost everything worked well when I moved in - had a couple of small repairs and they were done within a day, once the same morning, on a Saturday! I love my balconies (2! in a one-bedroom apartment!) and the design of the apartment is really open and spacious. Big tree right outside my bedroom window makes for total privacy. I feel very safe about almost everything - people from outside do get into the dumpsters somehow, leaving a mess, but it gets cleaned up. They seem to only be interested in the dumpsters and then leave; no security gates in any complex seem to be foolproof. I've also been to the wine-tasting party here and the Halloween party - very nice and fun! And having a garage is wonderful - very small, but it works! Karen S. read more

Don't let the first impression fool you into a contract, you will end up having to call maintenance every month for something faulty, and they will never fix it correctly. I had a massive leak under my sink that literally sprayed over the floor anytime water went down and they tried repeatedly to say it was only the garbage disposal. Upon moving in there were holes in the wall from nails from the previous tenants, cobwebs were hanging in multiple areas of the ceiling, there were jewels in the closet from the previous tenants, and even a missing toilet seat in our master bedroom. Then the garage was a ridiculous nightmare.. It had been used as a marijuana grow house with shelving left inside and even a cut out where they had installed an air conditioning unit and dried up leaves from the plants on the ground inside! They sheet rocked the inside and had hit it in multiple areas. The front office are the most fake individuals, they will lie to your face, the women that is.. I believe the man is a genuine person however he's not allowed to help with move in or out. Upon moving out to receive my double deposit back I cleaned everything to perfection, spent $400 in paint to make sure everything was repainted, hired carpet cleaners, dusted blinds, filled in any holes from nails, spent a week straight cleaning without any furniture inside, keep in mind this is an OCD type style of cleaning that was done to ensure my $2500 deposit was returned and to which I only received $300.. They told me if I gave them the receipt for carpets they wouldn't charge for that.. And they charged.. They told me they were replacing the stove and not to worry about cleaning it, then I was charged for that as well. They said there were missing spots on the walls charged an additional $300 for that and they even had left over paint I kept for them! As I moved out they took pictures of the unit... But I wasn't allowed to see the pictures they had taken from the condition it was when I moved in.. Make sure you take your pictures or better yet move across the street! read more

I lived at Adagio from 2008-2013 and loved it. It's right off of I-80 and I-5 so there's easy freeway access, shops and stores nearby, and the ammenities are amazing. Huge beautiful pools, jacuzzi, tennis courts, basketball courts and a volleyball area. The staff was always accommodating and quick to respond when something needed attention. Suzie and Janine are the best! Very friendly and personable. The area was also very quiet and low key. Great find! read more

I had a great experience with Adagio apartments. Janine, and the whole staff was very helpful to me at a time I needed it the most. They offered a great deal that helped me find the perfect apartment within my price range, and in a timely manner as I had a deadline. The staff addressed all of my needs, and helped find me a nice unit in a great spot. Though there were few, they addressed all of our maintenance concerns promptly. I was very impressed, compared to other properties I toured that did not provide hardly any customer service. I was working with Malia the Assistant Manager and Janine the Property Manager who are sweet as can be. I was looking to move immediately and they were able to help me with not only the apartment I was looking for but with a reasonable rate with a move in special of one month free! I stayed here for 14 months. The facility was nice, quiet, and safe. The staff was helpful and accommodating--especially Dianne Myers and Susie Lopez. The complex swiftly carried out repairs. I enjoyed my time there. I objected to Adagio's calculation and itemization of repairs during my move-out process, but we discussed the matter and reached a fair resolution. read more

We lived here for 9 months with our two dogs and absolutely loved it here! I personally felt very safe living here, sometimes I would hear homeless people going through the trash but usually security would make them leave. Very quiet community and even after we moved out, we received mostly all of our deposit back and that's with having two dogs living with us. Janine helped us move in, any problems that we had living there she took care of, and moving out she was also the one to help us. She is amazing! We actually moved into a house and now are wanting to move back into Adagio because of how much we liked it! I didn't really see any pests, or mice. I did see an occasional millipede or catapillar but I think that's with any home you live in. read more

I love living at Adagio. I have lived here for 3.5 years and I don't plan on moving any time soon. The staff are friendly and responsive. Any requests I have regarding maintenance were completed on time. The property is routinely and meticulously maintained. The location is perfect . I would have errands to run while the maintenance staff were in my unit, and not worry about any items being stolen or my personal belongings being tampered with. Do Not Rent Here! Staff all the way up to management at corporate office is horrible. Office staff does not reply or return your calls. A few times Malia advised a work order would be filed for issues I was having and she never did. Lights were out on my entire unit for almost 2 weeks, I had a roof leak problem that also took over a week to fix and was only fixed on the outside after water damage was on the inside of the unit and they also have a major racoon problem. I had to call housing affairs just to get something done. Very unsafe to come home at night with racoons hiding in the bushes and going up trees right by your balcony. This property does not go by the housing affairs law of carpet cleaning and will charge you full responsibility upon move out so they can try and take most of your deposit. Would never rent here again. They also have a lot of car break in when parking on the street and do nothing about it. read more

Very faux luxury. Looks amazing on the surface but very shoddy and poor quality construction up close. My apartment, supposedly renovated, was full of cracks in many of walls, which are very thin by the way. My carpet had dried paint caked into it in many places. My washer broke down twice and couldn't do laundry. Several outlets and doors had to be fixed after I moved in, when I would expect the apartment to be in it's best shape. I found mouse poop throughout my apartment at one point, and their solution was to place some traps and refill their decoy bait outside, kick the can down the road for when you move in ;) The garage is cheaply made and had plants growing into it through the wood. Everything is cheaply made for that matter. Now, if they didn't charge so much, I wouldn't care as much, as least then you'd be paying for what you get, but they charge rent suggesting you live in this fabulous apartment, which it's not. The cherry on top, which I admit other reviewers warned me about before I moved in, was that you'll never see your deposit again. I only lived in my apartment for 6 months, 6 months, I had not major wall fixtures, I did nothing to stain the carpet, and thoroughly cleaned the entire apartment before moving out. They still kept my entire $400 deposit and charged then some on top of that. What a racket. I suppose I only have myself to blame for not heeding the warnings of other reviewers. If you don't mind overpaying for fake luxury, and don't care to get your deposit back, go for it. read more

This apartment complex is a super lux and a great place to live. Front office is always willing to help with a smiling face. Security is always present during the evenings and the maintenance staff are courteous and thorough. Great location for my wife and I, since we both work downtown. Thank you to Malia and Nick, we were able to move in quickly when our last house closed escrow. My wife had a number of contacts with Nick (Malia was promoted and moved to a different property) during our stay and he was always pleasant. Now that we're moving I guess it's okay if they promote Nick and give him his own property to manage. I liked having a swimming pool that I didn't have to maintain and was able to use it through October, before the weather changed. We're about 60 years old, so we opted for a 2brm/2bth ground floor apartment (no stairs) that was about 1100 square feet. It met our needs perfectly, while we looked for a house. Thank you Adagio, Malia & Nick for making our 6 month stay comfortable. read more

Management is greedy here. You won't get your deposit back, and if you try to leave before your contract, they won't let you. They rather have you pay till the end of your contract than pay the fee to cancel. And, while you're paying for not living there, they give potential renters an upcharge price to rent there. read more

When I first moved here the management team under Diane was amazing. The new team is horrible. They will lie to you and only want your money. I moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom and they kept most of my deposit from the first apt. If I had known they would do this, I would have looked elsewhere. Do not expect your deposit back. They call it a security deposit, but it's really a cleaning deposit, all they have to do is find one hair and it's gone. The apt was spotless when I moved out. I never used the dining room, didn't even have furniture in it. They said the carpet was dirty in there. I washed all the windows and was charged to clean them. I scrubbed every floor and was charged to clean them. I moved out of two previous apts and always got my deposit back. If you do decide to move here, don't bother cleaning when you leave, they will keep your deposit anyway. There are druggies in the complex. I had to keep my windows closed because of the constant smell of pot. The homeless run through the garbage every morning. I can't even reach the bins because of all the garbage on the ground. This is not a secure complex. When I moved from the one bedroom, I looked at a two bedroom overlooking the pool. I told them I would take it and asked if I needed a deposit to hold it. They said no as I was a current resident and told I was first in line for it. I went out of town and they rented it out from under me. Ended up on the street side with road noise all night long. That shows the level of their customer service, all smiles until you sign the contract. Ten more months and I am out of this pit. Do not trust anything this new management team tells you. If you notice the below star ratings they were great until the new management started about a year ago. I wish there were a no star review, they don't deserve one. read more

My husband and I have lived here for a year and a-half. We moved in into a refurbished unit. Our move-in has been a slow process because we have less cabinet/storage space and still have boxes to go through to see what will be sent to a storage unit. I love the landscaping (so many different trees); however it brings a lot of different insects, i.e., flying and crawling, especially in the summer. The kitchen area is small but workable; however, the refrigerator should open via right, not left so it's hard to access when you open it. All of the doors have begin to shrink due to weather conditions so it's too hot in summer and too cold in winter. Overall the location, staff, and amenities are great. The garage is small for our SUV and we have incurred scratches on the sides and back hatch, but it's better than outside parking with regard to theft and/or weather damage. Maintenance is okay regarding response time. All in all as an elderly couple, we feel safe and it's quiet. We would recommend it to our friends and others. We understand that everything can't be perfect when you move into a new place, and we can accept that. read more
