Stay away from this charlatan of an auto shop. I took my vehicle in and told them exactly what the problem was as I had another company do the diagnostic. They proceeded to charge me $212.66 for reading a code which O'reilly did for free in about 5 minutes. Charged me $182.87 for labor, just for that. They want to charge me $500 for parts and $330 for labor to fix the car, a total over $1,000. I found the parts online for $150 and saw that it would take about two hours to fix according to multiple websites. I would have paid up to $500 for this fix but they wanted to charge double. Stay away unless you want to get ripped off. read more

This place was recommended to me, otherwise I would have just saved my time and money. I waited to see how the repair held up before writing a review. I was charged almost $800 to diagnose a CEL and change a bad o2 sensor. I had to leave vehicle a few days before they diagnosed anything. Then I had to wait a few more days for them to work on it. I had to call them to know it was finished, they didn't call me. When I picked it up, I barely made it out of the parking lot before the CEL came on again. I limped back into the parking lot. They offered to do a free diagnosis (I literally just paid for them to diagnose it), but it took them almost an hour to look at it and diagnose it again (mind you they've already had the vehicle long enough to do this before I picked it up and I already paid them $800 to diagnose and fix it). They scanned the OBD2 and determined it was a misfire and offered to order the coil and change it for me. I was hesitant, but they assured me the part will be there within the hour. It takes over 2 hours for the part to arrive and even longer to get installed. I could've walked to autozone, bought a genuine motorcraft coil for $80 and installed it myself in the parking lot had I known it was going to take so long. They ended up charging me $120 (full hour of labor) to install a $150 non-Motorcraft coil...almost $270 on top of the almost $800 I just spent 3-4 hours before. Fast forward a few weeks later and I get another CEL and misfire. I run it through my OBD2 scanner and sure enough it shows the same P0304 misfire code they "fixed". I ended up ordering 6 new OEM Motorcraft coils and plugs and replacing them all myself in the driveway for less than they charged me for one coil. Gary Sapp Auto charges a 3% fee for using a credit card. I think that is disgusting! The service on my truck, the staff, and the turnaround time was very good. Very good. Be certain you understand that if you do not pay cash you will be charged a fee. I find that insulting. I will find another shop for my future automotive needs. Recently, I had my Jeep serviced here. The website advertised Military discount...I wasn't offered it. They charged me over $600 to replace the front wheel U-joints. I needed it done because I was about to deploy to Afghanistan in a week. I didn't want to leave it like that for my wife while I was deployed. After checking with several other shops in Pensacola, the average fee is less than half. Good work, but expensive and unhappy that I wasn't offered a military discount as advertised. Horrible especially with having to buy parts in order to even get my vehicular inspected that is very disheartening.

Very professional and friendly. However: I recently took my 1995 Chevy truck there to have the ABS bled. I had replaced wheel cylinder and had also notices defective axle shaft seal at the time. ABS are difficult to bleed. I had already gone through a quart of new fluid w/o success. I still had about 2" of "mush" peddle. I had used a suction device to suck out old fluid. I decided to take truck to a professional to bleed brake system. I put "brown" old fluid back into MC reservoir just to get it to Sapp, expecting new translucent fluid to be added. Sapp charged me $117 bucks to bleed ABS and informed me of leaking axle seal. I drove out of Sapp's lot and notice same "mush" in peddle. At home, I examine reservoir, which still had the same "brown" fluid and reservoir hadn't been topped off. Humm... read more

The worst customer service for anyone they don't already have standing relationships with. Walked in to ask about getting my belt replaced ( I knew it was the belt, as there was a shop that told me it needed replacement a few weeks back...they were booked so I went to Garry Sapp Automotive) I can't believe how poor their customer service was, it was like walking into a room you don't belong and asking for something they don't do. Here is how it went down: Me: Walk-in (and the lady and man behind the counter gave me blank stares like they didn't want to see me there...) Lady: Can I help you? (In a frustrated tone) Me: Yeah...I need to get my car's belt replaced (I'm wearing a mask) Lady: *frazzled as if I had asked for a complete engine replacement* Me: I would like to know a couple of things, what the labor cost would be, and once known how much the belt will cost. Lady: Well, I think it's $50 for the first half-hour then the full hour is 111.27...(looks over to the guy sitting down on the phone next to her as if she didn't know the answer fully) Lady: How much is the full cost of labor? Guy: Yeah it's that... Me: Okay... Lady: *Sighs* Can you drop it off and leave it with us? (still frustrated tone) Me: Sure....as long as it can get done today, if not that's okay but I'll need my car later today. Guy: OH NO, we won't touch that today. Me: Okay, thanks anyways.... (slowly walk out) Them: No response (not even a: "hey let's book you for tomorrow so we can still get your business.") My issue here isn't the conversation...my issue is the lack of hospitability and customer service with the lackluster/frustrated attitude toward a new customer. Neither employee looked like they cared enough about the random customer who needed an hour worth of work done. You know who you are and here is the kicker...they won't care about this review either nor will Gary Sapp himself reach out because it's not worth their time. They have standing relationships with big named companies and other people and at this point, they don't care if they have anyone new come into their shop. I won't be back. read more

They charged me 1185.00 and in 3 tries to get the water to stop leaking from my motor including a $295.00 hose assembly which on the internet most expensive one I found was $79.95 thats quit the profit. I had to call them day after day to get any information on what was happening....I do not know if this is fixed still, its only been a few hours but if it isn't I am stopping payment on my cards and taking it elsewhere. I do not feel like they really cared if they fixed the problem but only how much they could get from me...congrats guys you got me. Never again...I believe a good example of their service and attitude was written on the cashiers scratch pad, it had a phone number then the words F&CK YOU written...Nice. I take care of my vehicles as best I can and wish there was a local place that understood people like myself would be loyal clients if only they found a reputable mechanic, for me GARY SAPP is not that place and its unfortunate for me and people like me. read more
