BEWARE! I received a set of gel/shellac nails on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Less than 2 days later,…read morethey fell off! One was on my pillow when I woke up that morning, the other 9 fell off as I was washing my hands. Since I was out of state on vacation and had no way of calling the salon (frankly, I didn't want to bother while on vacation), I posted a picture of the nails on Facebook and posted a short note on Tranquility's Facebook page informing them of the problem. Upon my return home on July 29, I sent the nails along with a request for a refund of the $25 I spent to Tranquility. I received a scathing letter back from the nail technician, Amy Brewer, over a month later stating that I should have notified HER IMMEDIATELY and not the salon. I immediately called Sandra Hull, the owner of the salon, and was told that Amy is an independent contractor and I would have to talk to her. I did, she basically called me a liar and said she had no proof the nails came off. Gee, I sent them back to her -- what more proof does she need? The salon will not refund my money because Amy is an independent contractor. I have worn gel/shellac nails for the last 2 years. I have never had a problem with them coming off. It is obvious that Amy either used the wrong product or didn't follow recommended procedures. The bottom line is: this salon does not stand behind their product and services. They are rude and unprofessional and obviously, do not value their customers. I would never ever step foot in this place again and I urge you to be very careful. If they treat one customer this way, they will treat them ALL this way.

Piper at the front desk and Lauren, my massage therapist, were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. Lauren mentioned she had over 17 years of experience and it showed. Her technique was impeccable, and my 60-minute massage (with hot stones, highly recommend!) was amazing. I also loved the sauna. It didn't feel cramped, and the cold foot bath paired with the variety of essential oils for the hot rocks made it even more special. If you're looking for a true luxury spa experience, go to Bloom. I'll definitely be back. Thank you Cassandra and Mike!

The setting is very calm despite being at a busy corner of West Stadium. There were a few other people in the spa at the same time, but not so many that it felt intrusive or crowded. My experience started with a massage. It was relaxing but not up there with the best massages I've gotten around town. Next came the infrared sauna, which was probably my favorite part. With relaxing music and heat all around, I was able to zone out and enjoy myself. The float pool was next. I liked the waterproof headphones to listen to zen music as I floated, but the air temperature kept the parts of my body that were above water pretty chilly. I ended up cutting that part short as a result. Overall it was a good experience. I wish their parking were better marked (I parked in a lot to the left of the building as you're looking at it from the front). I also felt like the scheduling process was a little informal and unprofessional. I called and instead of returning my call, I got a text message back with informal grammar "Texting u from Bloom wellness" - it came off as sloppy.

I walked into a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Once you exit the lobby area and go to the back, the lights are dim. The changing area was clean, there was a locker to put my personal belongs in, and the robe and sandals were super comfy. There was a shower and a toilet and a waiting area outside the restroom with an electric fireplace on the wall. The massage itself was super relaxing and enjoyable. The woman who did my massage spoke softly asking me what areas I'd like her to focus on and what would be included in my massage. She gave me clear direction and privacy. She was firm, and worked out a knot in my shoulder and did a full body massage. There was calming music playing softly. At the end, they gave me a cup of tea to drink while I changed. I was not rushed in the beginning or the end. I would absolutely love to come here again one day for another massage. The main thing that stops me from getting massages on a more regular basis is the cost!
