This place is amazing. It's a small store but they have a huge and amazing collection of Polish foods. The store carries a huge variety of Polish style meats such as kielbasa, kabanosy, kiszka, polędwica, etc. Some of the meats are from other Polish butchers but many are prepared onsite by their butcher. There are also candies, chocolates, pickles, vegetables, fruit preserves, soups, seasonings, cheeses, butters, etc that have been imported from Poland. Everything we bought was delicious. The prices are not low but lower than we found in other Polish delis. Also, their staff is wonderful. They were friendly, helpful and we were given samples if we were not sure of our selection. When we told them that we were bringing our purchases cross country, they vacuumed sealed the meats to make it easier for transport. read more

What a gem. Hidden in Wallington, Adams is a corner deli stocked with Polish specialties and goodies. Whenever I mentioned Adams around this area people say they have the best perogis. I have to say, they're very good. Talk about variety too, cheese, meat, ruskie, sauerkraut. They've got it all. I went with two bags of ruskie, which is potato and cheese. Delicious, the dough is perfectly thick and chewy. Each bag is around 7 dollars each, which is a steal for the real homemade deal. I also grabbed a slab of patè, one link of long kielbasa and some great mustard. The mustard had horseradish and honey which is a flavor bomb. So good with the kielbasa but also great on a regular turkey sandwich. The crew working here is efficient and they speak English so it's nice and easy to communicate unlike some of the other Polish delis in the area. My family and I have been shopping at Adam's for countless years. The store is a small hidden gem of a corner deli stocked with wonderfully, authentic, Polish delicacies. The food is incredibly consistent, and you would be hard-pressed to find better pierogi or kielbasa. The kielbasa is perfectly smoked and the pierogi have an excellent texture to them. My friends with Polish backgrounds also shop here regularly, insistent that there is nothing more authentic than this store in the area. Adam's Food Market in Wallington Nj specializes in Polish products. It is a mom & pop store which has been operating since 1946. I love to try different ethic foods from Italian, German, Spanish, Asian etc. and I have found these little shops to be wonderful places to explore food and culture. Wallington is predominately Eastern European in terms of demographics and Adam's Krystyniak Food Market is one of the mostl highly delis in the area. They use all natural ingredients and smoke their products on open fires in the back. As you approach the deli you can already smell their smoked Kielbaska, No pre-cut or packages here, this is a real butcher shop. Aside from their Kielbaska they have Kabanosy (Polish slim Jims), bacon, head cheese and other meats. Their pierogi, stuffed cabbage, Kishka and Krakowska are all top notch. They also sell bakery products. I bought their poppy seed Strudel which came from the Polonia Bakery in Passaic. The ladies behind the counter spoke English and Polish. Nothing in the deli area was labeled or priced which is why I gave a 4 Star rating and not a 5. read more

I'm not Polish but this was hands down the best kielbasa I ever had. Tried it on a friends recommendation and he was right. Nice and garlicky with a great smoky flavor. My truck still smells great! The women at the counter definitely spoke Polish but there was no problem switching to English when speaking with me. I like seeing small businesses that have been around a long time and have superior products. When I find them I will always patronize them. Much better than big corporate stores. I will definitely be back to try other food. If you like Polish food this is a place to stop. It's on the corner and is easy to pass bye if your not paying attention. read more

Adam's market makes the best kielbasa in NJ. It's smoked perfectly and filled with so much flavor. There's usually a line but it's definitely worth the wait. They also have ham, pork loin, sausage, and other meats. Today we tried the double smoked kielbasa and it was amazing! They offered us a sample to taste which was kind of them. Adams is our go to for Kielbasa and Rye bread. It's an institution that's been there for many years and there's a reason why. Always good !

My Polish grandma lived 2 blocks away from Adam's and this is the kielbasa that I grew up eating. Who knew that I was lucky enough to be eating New Jersey's best kielbasa my whole life! Adam's is a small, Polish butcher/bodega type store on a small street in Wallington, right across from the Police Station. They smoke all their hams and kielbasa on location and many times I have smelled the delicious aromas wafting from the smoker out back when I got out of my car. The homemade kielbasa is just out of this world. Garlicky with virtually no fat or gristle. The thought of ever eating a supermarket kielbasa just turns my stomach because I have been so spoiled by Adam's. In addtion to kielbasa, Adam's also sells traditional, home made Polish food such as pierogi, stuffed cabbage and polish donuts and cookies that they keep by the register. I have had the little walnut cookies and while I like them, my husband thinks they taste dry. Inside the deli case, in addition to a variety of hams and different pork products are these little gems called: KABANOSY. This is basically a Polish "slim jim." They are like mini, slow-smoked and then dried kielbasa. We always buy a couple of these to munch on in the car for our drive home. If you like Slim Jim, you gotta give one of these babies a try. Adam's takes credit cards. Ample street parking. All the employees speak Polish but also fluent in English-albeit with a heavy accent.(which is more than I can say for Piast in Garfield, but that's another review). One final tidbit that I discovered about Adam's is that they will vacuum seal a kielbasa for you free of charge. An unopened vacuum-sealed package will stay good for 3-4 weeks. An opened package will stay good for 1-2 weeks. (don't forget, the kielbasa is already cooked/smoked) Why would you vacuum seal a kielbasa you ask?? So you can send it as a gift!! That is how I discovered Adam's courtesy vacuum seal; holiday customers were ordering multiple kielbasa's vacuum sealed and mailing them as gifts. I still have a girlfriend who moved out of the area and excitedly calls me every year thanking me for her "Christmas Kielbasa" So the next time you want to serve a unique and tasty appetizer, fire up the grill and throw one of these delicious kielbasa on it. This is a typical Polish (they also speak English) butcher shop that has everything - meats, pierogies, etc. I have been here multiple times for the Kielbasa (single and double smoked) and Kabanos. Those 3 items, whole strands, will run approximately 15-18$ depending on weight. Best Kielbasa in the area - perhaps because I have smelled them smoking it in the back of the butcher shop a few times when coming to pick it up. The meat quality is very good with not too much fat and bigger pieces of meat. I almost never find pieces of bone in the Kielbasa. The only reason this they get 4 stars is because nothing is priced in the store - items on the shelves, the meats, nothing. However, they dont gouge non-Poles as my GF has gotten the Kielbasa for me (now that she works closer to Wallington than me) and has paid the same price as I usually pay. Finally, despite the lack of signs, they do take credit card and have a machine off to the side. read more

Yesterday was my in-law's 69th wedding anniversary. They're of Polish descent, and we thought pierogis & golumpki would be perfect since, at their age, they aren't leaving their house during the pandemic. But we knew they won't eat it from anywhere else but Adam's. In fact Adam's has been their go-to place as long as I've known them, which is about 45 years. So although Adam's doesn't deliver, they cooperated with me as I arranged a way to get their wonderful foods delivered. And my in-laws just loved it! Couldn't have been happier unless we had delivered it ourselves. In these weird days with the pandemic & the political craziness, the folks at Adam's reminded me just how great people truly are. Adams is our favorite. Delicious kielbasa (always consistent) as well. They have excellent home made salads too. Everything they sell is top quality. I have been eating kielbasa ever since I can remember and that's a long time. Have tried the polish delis in Harrison, Kearny and of course Garfield, where we do like Golden Eagle very much and Piast has a vast variety and very good cold cuts. But the winner in our test kitchen is still "Adams"....thank you for your long years of excellent service and delicious polish food that warms our stomachs and our hearts. read more

Adams may very well be the best Polish deli anywhere. I grew up on his products living only two blocks away. It's not only the kielbasy but the cold cuts as well. It's also the only place that I've ever seen that sells Thuman's liver cap. Just a great place. read more

We are bit of kielbasy snobs coming from a big Polish family and my grandfather owned his own butcher shop. We were back to NJ for the first time in close to two years having lived here most of our lives. It was a short trip and couldn't make it to many of the food places we usually go to in order to take stuff home that we can't get in Florida. A relative suggested we try this place as their friend had gotten kielbasy here awhile ago and it was good. We went in and found the refrigerated case not as full as where we usually go and the products were not labeled or priced. I had to ask for the type of kielbasy we wanted and without a word, the server went to the side of the counter and picked one out, never asking how much I wanted or saying anything other than the final price. After paying, not even a Dziękuję. The price was on par with what we usually paid. The style was different in that is was heavier in texture and had a different grind. We usually go to Continental Provisions and their kielbasy is fatter, with a solid/fine grind and less smoked. This one was too smoky for our taste. Itis OK and better than anything we can get here (no such thing as a fresh Polish butcher here; everything is pre-packaged and imported from other locations) will do for now until we return but from now on we will return to where we usually get our Polish provisons. read more

We were there to purchase some kielbasa for the whole family for Christmas recently. The kielbasa ring was good but very mild. Would have like something a little more spicy, although we found the casing to be very palatable and easy to digest. Maybe they didn't offer a choice due to the expected volume, so we will definitely be back for another try. The Krakowska did have a nice kick to it, though. Everyone seemed to enjoy helping the customers which made it an enjoyable experience.. Our pierogi were delicious, too. I know that Adam's has been sold, as I had seen the listing with multiple listing agents. The Kielbasy is terrible and has the odor of fuel oil. Adam's is really a Polish Deli Market. All the meats are made there and you won't find a better kielbasa anywhere. The quality is at its best. Lean and tasty, perfectly balanced flavor. Make sure you get a few jars of beets, they are great. They have been in Wallington for decades. Get a smoked ham or fresh kielbasa. Get 2 fresh kielbasa, 4lbs kraut, 1lb bacon. Boil the 2 kielbasa for 45 minutes and save the water! Rinse the kraut well( to remove brine salt) put in large pot. Fry the bacon and SAVE THE GREASE! Crumble all the bacon and add it to the kraut WITH THE BACON GREASE! Slice up the 2 rings of kielbasa and add them to the kraut and bacon mixture. Add the boiled kielbasa water. Make it soupy! I add quartered potatoes to the mix(optional). Mix it well. Bring to a boil and let simmer for an hour. Tastes better the next day! Portion it and freeze it. Holds up well. Cut the recipe in half if it's too much. The potatoes make it a perfectly balanced one pot meal! Have some rye bread with it. You'll be in heaven! read more
